Oh boy, I can really remember seeing those "paint it yourself" cars in the toy shops. Don't know if I had the Lambo (or just wanted it badly) but I know that I had a van.
My painting was soooo bad, but it was fun to do. ;-)
Playmobile also had animals to paint youself. I had penguins and zebras. :-D Funny times back then.

The black cherry color is interesting.

Matchbox Graffic Traffic... Bodies were all white and came with a selection of felt tip style pens... I had a Ford RS200.... Great job youve done there! 😊😊

Amazing job with your Candy Customizing of the Lamborghini Countach amazing paintjob and cool wheels and tires . If you would have keep the interior white with the Maroon outside it would have been my High School colors .

I remember those Matchbox cars, traffic graphics I think they were called? Had the VW T3 ambulance, which I customized as a kid! The Lamborghini turned out great 👍like the colour. Beautiful 'Oxblood' colour there. Like a new pair of Doctor Marten's 1460's. Or the 40th anniversary 12" single of 'Enola Gay', by OMD, that I got on Friday. Suits the car perfectly. Nice one.

Sweet. In the brochure, that color option would be something like "black cherry" (or, well, it's an Italian car, so I suppose "ciliegia nera" :).

I think the initial 23% paint removal was optimistic! More like 12%! I love your pleasant mistake on the paint. It pays to experiment.

Nice some years ago I used to make and deliver furniture to Jersey and there was a ferrari on the island that was similar to the colour you've chosen on this lamborghini 👍
I came across a channel called Jakarta diecast project you should see what he does to his cars they're new cars but the transformation is amazing

It's sort of the same color as Christmas candies....which is appropriate.
I saw one at a car show back in the mid '80s...most people here pronounced it as " Contact"...

If there is a lesson here, when in doubt try some candy just in case, they just love to blend with stuff and they darn good at it.

Not bad. I think that Lamborghini's traditional colors are red and yellow and white as well but nothing wrong to actually experiment with them. Into my eyes , unless if I am colorblind or the camera doesn't do justice, it looks like a chocolate pigmentation and with a touch of deep purple. Never the less I love it because you haven't overdone it with additional touch ups rather than the tail lights and the gills. Great job mate, stay safe you and your family, which is the most important of everything in life, and Merry Christmas to you and everyone. Cheers.

Hi Rob,this is totally different almost looks aubergine,the chrome bling alloys does set it off with the paint colour,compared to how it was 😀.
Maybe the front wheels should be different size, smaller, just to give that lowered front effect
