I think you forgot to mention the better kickstand which makes all the difference for people who play alot in tabletop mode, also I have to admit, you're right about them removing the usb slot, but you get an ethernet cord which I would much rather have than that extra usb because I can easily get an adapter with extra usb ports. I can also tell you don't have an oled because the screen looks much different and much better than the original, which already makes up for the extra 50 bucks for me. You can watch a video by WULFF DEN about the burn in and as long as you don't plan on leaving your switch on for months in a row without moving around, then that's not a worry at all. The 64gb is already double the original storage than the original switch so I don't think I need to say anything about that. But just in case you didn't get that, you can, like you said just buy a 30 dollar sd card off amazon which is what I did. And before I forget, the screen being longer doesn't make the games look blurry at all, in fact they're way more clear than games on the original switch. I also forgot to mention the longer battery life, cleaner design, the fact that because you can take off the cover of the back of the dock it can save space on shelves, and literally the entire thing is just more sturdy. So pretty much, it is definitely NOT a rip-off. So if anyone is trying to choose between the OLED or the Original switch, then you should definitely get the OLED, trust me you will get a huge bang for your buck.

you are right. I should've mentioned the better kickstand the OLED has. But honestly, I never use the kickstand and always play on the dock.
I did take a look at the old screen and I honestly don't like the larger pixels. the original switch has more pixels in a smaller display making it clearer, although I rarely even play in handheld mode.

The things i really like in the oled model are the white joy cons (seriously, they look good imo), the larger (and less fragile) stand (for people often playing portable mode) and the white dock. The screen also can use less battery so you can play longer. but i think its not worth it unless you dont have a switch yet.
also, why does youtube thinks that this is a vid about inner space ? (check desc)

1:18 Imma stop you there, and redirect you to Wolff Den's set of videos on the burn in thing. You won't have this problem with the Switch OLED for years, if not at least a decade.

I believe it has a much better battery life tho cuz I compared my Switch Lite to my friend's OLED, and his Switch stayed in the 90s while mine was in the 40s. My brigjtness was lower than his too and we turned on our Switches and played on full battery at the same time

you likely have a pre-2019 Switch model, like me. the Switch got a better cpu to underclock it for longer battery life. OLED has the same, not an upgrade over that one

I’ve had both . I bought the oled for the better build quality. The switch tablet itself is much more sturdy and also the plastic does wear down and get all glossy as easily. I’m a stickler for condition of things so that hugged me about the original. But these are just my personal preferences

It really depends on what you'll want for the Switch you're getting, and whether that extra $50 for extra features is worth it/ethical. For me, I bought my own switch oled for several reasons.
Both the Oled and normal switch screens are great, but I have a more comfortable time with the oled screen, and I don't need to have the oled screen as close to my eyes than the normal switch screen to read the text.
I agree with the micro sd card segment in the video, so it won't matter what model you get if you don't worry about storage. For the oled model, it's just a slight quality of life improvement on storage space, lol.
When playing with friends, whether at work or school, the kickstand for the oled works very well, and you won't have to worry about the console falling over because of the kickstand falling. Others can also see the screen slightly better, because of the brighter colors, slightly bigger screen, and the kickstand letting the switch be stood up at a better angle.
I need an ethernet port, because the usb ethernet adapter wasn't working on the normal switch (as in kept disconnecting and switching to wifi), and most smash bros. online tournaments require to have ethernet, even if you have a good wi-fi connection. Also want to point out that not everyone has a decent connection, and with ethernet, you can have a way more stable and better connection when it's wired. Not everyone will get the usb ethernet adapter, and so the more people who buy a normal switch and don't use the usb ethernet adapter, just going with whatever wi-fi connection they have, the longer we'll have to deal with more unstable connections or disconnections, which ruins the experience (smash bros and mario maker 2 are good examples).
I don't want to go too long on this, lol. Either way, it's fine with whatever switch is more ethical to you. Like you said in the video, if you like to have the console docked, it's better to get the normal switch, and both switch models don't have a difference in technical power, so you won't have to worry about the normal switch being less powerful in any way. And if some consumers are only interested in a few switch games that don't take much space and will spend a lot of time on those games, then the normal switch is obviously more worth it, especially if it's docked most of the time. It was just more ethical for me when buying it, including having more space (with the micro sd card I bought), having a brighter and slightly bigger screen, a better kickstand, and having an ethernet port, so I'd know I wouldn't need to buy any usb ethernet adapter or worry about an unstable connection.
I don't believe the switch oled is a complete rip off, and again, it only really depends on what model is more ethical to you. Both models are amazing, but I'd definitely recommend the oled model if the consumer doesn't have a switch yet, especially for those quality of life features for the extra $50.

The OLED switch is the best switch. You could possibly buy at this point. I’ve had mine for a long time and I’ve never had a problem. You can also get the OLED switch in the neon color now too like the original.

i still bought it because i earn a decent bit of money from my job, i originally had a switch lite and decided to upgrade. it was so worth it imo, but everyone's different.

update: nvm lol, i took it back because the screen was faulty (horrible green tint whenever specific shades of grey are on screen), got another one, had the same issue + a dead wireless adapter. apparently these issues are very common with the oled model (nintendo buying botched screens from samsung, about 75% of them have this issue), i decided to take that one back and got a V2 instead and it's been perfect.

Nintendo just didnt want to ruin developers lives for making an internal upgrade so they'd need to make 2 versions of their games.

1:26 it took someone 3600 hours to experience screen burning with the switch on 24/7
And I play mostly in handheld over TV and I usually stand a lot especially playing multiplayer or watching CZcams on the bed and ngl my white joycons outlived my series elite 2 Xbox pro controller I would have got the ligh if it had the bigger and better screen. I compare my switch O to my sister's OG mine has a lot better screen in my opinion the extra $50 is better (your boy in 4th block in school)
