    after watching the movie (fat sick and nearly dead) last Christmas I turned my life around with juicing and cutting the crap outta my life
    did a 60 day fast
    so far this year have lost 100lbs
    and feeling great not once during fast did I feel hungry just cleaned me out of toxins and got rid of my unhealthy cravings ( sugar gone refined foods gone also dropped wheat products) excersing regularly (daily) and another 37 kilos top go to get to my ideal weight

    • @08Stella
      @08Stella Před 10 lety +5

      That's sounds so inspiring!! I am thinking to do a 60-Day juicing as well. I have fasted before so I'm not so concered about it but what do you eat AFTER the 60 days? I'm already on a plant-base diet but sometimes I wander off. I tend to take a bit too much rice or potatoe, some crackers and being at friend's house is always a challenge. We all gather to eat and then comes the too much (salty) cooked food & of course, sugar... are you able to say NO to everything? I'm so curious!!!

    • @williamsanders4415
      @williamsanders4415 Před 10 lety +6

      Stella Johnson Hi Stella I eased in with veg soups (cauliflower, pumpkin) steam puree with some water/stock to dilute then salads after 2 days and then basically fruit veg and fish really was no drama I admit I was scared what would happen with first bowel movements but if you stay away from meats dairy etc to start with I see no troubles I experienced none good luck you will succeed

    • @08Stella
      @08Stella Před 10 lety

      William Sanders No no, my question was about AFTER the 60-Day Reboot!! I am not at all concerned about the fast itself but how do you co-exist with family & friends AFTER? I mean, when sitting down for a family dinner and such.....

    • @williamsanders4415
      @williamsanders4415 Před 10 lety +7

      Stella Johnson I have found it easy to make good choices since the fast
      family are supportive
      food doesn't seem so important now I actually look to veges to sate me
      I don't crave or like fatty/sugar foods anymore and have only eaten red meat 3/4 times in the last few months tastes good but all I can taste is fat in my mouth after
      But in answer to you
      Its hard to go out to most places to eat as most don't have great choices

    • @williamsanders4415
      @williamsanders4415 Před 10 lety +3

      Stella Johnson I live about 10 miles away from nearest town so don't socialise much any way My family live about 100 miles away in the city and my workplace is 35 miles away with just farms between so nothing to tempt me on the way home from work
      I am having 1 day a week when I increase my calorie intake (it stimulates your metabolism commonly called cheat days) using that day for socialising works for me but Im still making good choices by eating food I don't normally have during the week (shrimp, salmon grilled no sauces) I still have a long way to go
      Its not hard to make good choices when your cravings disappear but going out is harder after the fast I cant believe how even my mind has changed
      touch base if you want a chat anytime
      I see you have fasted before so you know what to expect
      if your going to do 60 and haven't done that long before you may want someone to talk or listen
      hope you achieve what you are after

I didn’t know because I didn’t recognize the photos as of someone famous. Otherwise, I would have never fell for it. Thank goodness I realized it on time and the scammer was not able to steal from me. This is horrible and shameful. I hope Karma exists and these people pay for their crimes.

What I did last July 4th 2013( 161 LBS) I did a detox just by juicing fresh vegetables and fruits and dramatically lost 18 pounds in just a month. And for the second month I lost another 5 pounds. My current weight right now is 136 pounds and started to work out to gain raw muscles from raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. I basically transitioned to a raw vegan diet.

    No, no, no! Most people make this mistake all the time. If you're going to juice, do so with ORGANIC fruits and veges ONLY! If you juice with produce that has been treated with pesticides you can't wash off the insides! You MUST understand that when produce is sprayed with a pesticide chemical, that chemical goes into the soil. Once it is in the soil, it is then absorbed FROM the soil INTO the roots of the produce. Whether a small plant like a lettuce or a larger plant like an apple tree. Do you see what this does? It means the produce you eat will have the pesticide right inside the very body/structure of the produce you intend to eat.
    Do NOT be fooled by anyone who tells you different. If someone does tell you different it is because they stand to lose money if you no longer buy their pesticide infested produce. ESPECIALLY if too many people wise up about this fact. If it's not a monetary reason then they are just ignorant and don't know any better. Do your own research and please, for the love of GOD ... bring your common sense with you when you research, please!!

    Great that Joe Cross was in the Phils! I hope my kababayans who watched this program get to learn a lot from his testimony. I appreciate this interview from Karen Davila, the lady newscaster/interviewer.
    And people commenting here-- please be nice to Karen. While i agree that she interrupted Joe unnecessarily in some important segments of the interview, i think she did a great job asking questions that most Filipinos would enthusiastically want to ask (as vegetable juicing is a new concept to most of us Filipinos - though im already a Canadian citizen and turned semi vegetarian/vegan in 2012). Moreover, English is not Karen's first language since she is Filipino and Tagalog is the primarily language spoken in the Phils. Thus you wont really hear any American -sounding accent from her and any Filipinos for that matter unless they were born and grew up in US/Canada or in any English speaking countries. Also, the reason this program was in English was because it intended to cater primarily to non-Tagalog speaking people in the country as there are different local dialects (or regional languages) all over. So have a little patience okay? (and im sure this network station has taken notes of all your comments/complaints and would gladly consider them so they could still improve esp in handling interviews).

I"m so amazed that I can gain muscle with the raw vegan diet which is totally the opposite of my belief that eating animal protein is the only way to gain muscle. I'm not saying that you guys have to get rid of the animal products but just have to incorporate the juicing or making green smoothies. This way you wouldn't lack the minerals and that you get from raw foods.

I drastically gained weight the fact that I transitioned to a standard American diet. I started experiencing joint pains and irregular heart palpitations at young age of 25 back in 2005. Fast forward to 2012 I was able to cut down my weight around 165 pounds. By just eating fish vegetables and fruits.

    Exclude the calories. Break the cost of food down based on nutrition: calcium, manganese, Vitamin A/B/C/Etc., Iodine, Potassium, Beta Carotene, Selenium, Sodium, Zinc, Iron. Some phytonutrients can be beneficial. Good veg is cheaper, nutritionally, vs buying nutritionally-deficient processed foods. Consider the possibility of medical expenses from a deficient diet. Also, Do you have enough room to grow your own veg? Not everyone can easily do that, but it is an option.

    She is trying to create editorial breaks, not an easy thing to do when Joe is such an expressive, voluble speaker. So, she steps on him periodically. But, it's ok.

    In most cases your body won't be able to handle enough to reach a toxic point. There are exceptions: Apricot/Peach/Cherry/Plum kernels, Uncooked Sprouted Lima Beans, Yucca (not as likely), Nutmeg(This could happen on a cinnamon-like dare), Under-cooked Rhubarb Pie and sprouted potatoes.
    The kernels and yucca root are very bitter and contain cyanide. It won't kill you like you see in the movies. In general, most plants that can poison you will be extremely bitter.
    Eat veg in moderation.

    The documentary was touching but juicing to me is the extreme! I would only do that if I was overweight or needed to do a cleanse. What you eat and an active life style are the main things you need to be concerned about. I know not every diet works for everyone, but I got some advice to eat only when I'm hungry and in moderation, I also decided to eat more whole foods, got ride of as much processed foods, sugar, alcohol, smoking, and I had to eat at least fish. Also if you eat out a lot, you got to cut down on that. I can't do juicing so I did smoothies instead, it is more filling.Self control is the hardest thing to do, if you can't do the extreme and go cold turnkey, ease into whatever diet you are doing.
