Hi! I’d like to learn the lore of Project Sekai (especially Muzuki’s lore) in order to translate ID smile into my first language (I do covers here on YT), but I can’t play the videogame so I was wondering if you could show me some videos which may help me understand the game’s story (I really don’t know I it works) sooo thank you anyway!

So basically sekai lore as a whole is that the groups featured in the game are ppl linked to music/performances with very strong feelings and issues to solve, and because of these feelings each group manifested a "sekai", its essentially a pocket dimension where they can go when they want, and each sekai has different variations of the 6 crypton vocaloids with miku being on the forefront and having a different design and personality for each sekai. The sekai and the vocaloids kinda are shaped by the characters from the group they're designed for ( for exemple leo/need kaito is a sweet and akward guy, but nightcord kaito is blunt, rude and gives out some tough love because he was manifested from a character's anger towards her abu/ / sive home life.) They essentially play a support role as the characters try to grow from their personal issues and get closer to their goals as music groups.
For mizuki specifically they are a member of nightcord, which is a geoup centered around mental health and trying to heal, as all the members wanted to D // ie at one point but were saved by each other.
Its really implied that mizuki is either non-binary or a trans woman, as they are shown in the past to be masculine and now has to deal with bullies who critisize them and how they dress, as well as mizuki saying that they just want to be themselve and dress how they want without mockery or judgement. A big part of mizuki's character is their concept of identity, as they just want to be able to be themselves but is also incredilby avoidant and keep everything to themselves despite their easy going personality. Their big dilemma is that they want to be able to be truthfull with their friends and tell them everything but is too scared of judgment or of loosing everything because of it, so in mizuki's words, they just keep runnkng away from their problems and feelings. They're in the process of trying to open up, with them feeling ena being the closest person involved as she felt something was off and promised that mizuki can tell her anything ans thay she'll be waiting for as long as it takes.
Also to note, nightcord! meiko, which was featured in IDsmile, was manifested from mizuki's avoidance and doubt, and her thing is that she's pretty emotionless and just watches and observe people from afar and think not being involved in anyone's issues is the best option (she cares in her own way tho)

mafuyu is staying with kanade due to complications with her home life and such. she ran away from home at first after confronting her "evil" mother, but she decided to stay there for a little while until she was fully ready to return home (with the support of her father ofc)
