Literally listening to this as i'm putting away laundry, cleaning counters, and washing dishes. As a stay at home mom, it's so important for me to remember how blessed I am to wash these dishes that God provided food to touch to feed my family, and to hang up my husband's work clothes that God blessed us with to be able to let me stay at home. I don't have to put these clothes away. I don't have to wash these dishes. I get to. God is so amazing. I almost turned on worship music as I started to clean. Turned on this sermon instead. I really needed to hear this.

God has just given my husband a job where I don’t have to work anymore and I didn’t know how to take it I was happy but confused I have to lean on god and trust him every minute every day. I am leaning to take the gifts god has given me and be thankful I get to be a stay at home wife!

Victoriaa Linh Thank you for this. It’s so important and sometimes it seems like there are more people just waiting for a pastor to fall than there are praying protection from a fall. He’s just a man (or she’s just a woman).
My husband was a pastor for over 20 years, loved the church and gave more of himself than he had to give. I believe he got to that empty place and lost that spiritual battle, at least for a time. He left the church, he left me, and he’s living opposite of everything he ever taught, believed, lived. My prodigal pastor, whom I still love with everything I have but who now blames me for everything.
He was a good man and a good pastor. If it could happen to him, it could happen to anyone. Pastors and others in Christian leadership need our prayers, not our nitpicky condemnation. Pastor Steven and Holly need our prayers. Whenever God is working in and through people, they become a target. (And He’s used them so much just in my life through videos.)
He has taught me so much walking through this fire, but I wish these lessons would have been learned without the extreme pain for everyone involved. I pray for my husband daily, but I wish I’d prayed for him daily all those years we spent in full time ministry. I wish I prayed as fervently for his protection and interceded for him as frequently then as I do now.
I share all that to hopefully encourage those reading even more to pray earnestly for your pastors, for Pastor Steven and Holly, for anyone in Christian leadership who has encouraged you and touched your life. This is a great reminder.
Lori Watson Wow. That was deep. Thank you for being honest and courageous sharing your testimony. God is not finished with your husband! There is hope!! A pastor in the city I grew up in recently committed suicide due to mental health issues. :( My heart aches because he left three boys and his wife behind. But what the devil meant for evil God meant for good!! We must continue to pray for each other as a community of believers in Christ. Even so for non believers. Sending love and prayers your way. ❤️

God just exposed him, he said he likes watching other movies than Christian movies that's not spiritual the spirit does not lie my brother nor does is mislead, and we cannot be a stumbling block when it comes to God it has to be real and serious not saying we cannot laugh or have enjoyment but there is a way to do it. That is why so many are mislead and still remain confused opening doors to many things that are not of God and feel it is from God. Those feelings and passions and desires are suppose to be gone that only shows where they are at in God but again we use wisdom pray for them Amen oh and alot of Christian movies are not that good on leading into truth, they still show killing bad guys and the ones who kill the bad guys are suppose to be the good holy guys sad but hey pray for them too. No fear in God but we pray for wisdom and understanding what God COMMANDS AND REQUIRES not what man says are Gods standards are But what God says His standards are Amen

I pray for your strength. I know it's nothing easy. From experience. I have a 3 year old and his dad ended things a couple of days before my birthday. Been sick with emotions. But GOD will bring us through. And who knows maybe these aren't the people GOD intended for us to spend our lives with .

I am not only named Martha, but am a Martha. I have been striving to find a balance between my Mary servant heart (devotion to spending time with God) and my Martha workhorse servant heart (always busy at something). This truly showed me that I can be both at the same time, there is no difference, if my heart is right. My joy is found in him. I want his plan & path for me, not my played out version.... thank you Pastor Steven
I think it’s pretty epic to be able to preach and share Gods words with millions of people.
When I feel myself slipping into a mood...I listen to this sermon and use this as my attitude adjustments. It never fails to bring things into focus for me.

When this series came out I was on it and made sure I didn’t miss any sermon, it came at a point in my life where I really needed it. Now I’m going through some trials but revisiting this series reminds me of how far I’ve come and how faithful God has been. God is using pastor Steven and his church in an amazing way. May God continue to bless him and his family 🙏🏼
I needed this message so badly. All I do is control and try to change my life and I’m just stressing myself out about situations that aren’t going how I want and it’s making my life miserable. But why should I bother controlling my life when there’s somebody who’s so much better at it who’s doing it for me?
Exactly, exactly!! There’s this song that I listen to anytime I feel like giving up, called I’ll Give Thanks by Housefires. My favorite line goes “Gods not worried.. so why do I worry?” and it repeats over and over again. I recommend giving it a listen, it’s an amazing fight song/declaration. You are sooo pretty btw 🥺🤩

🔥🙏🏾 this is so on point. I have been a victim of creating a movie in my mind of how things should unfold. Then I will seek God and pray for an answer and become disappointed in the results if it doesn’t unfold in a certain manner. But this is a great reminder that I am not the director of my life. And God will exceed my expectations in the end.

Taking back my mind after going through being lied to for years on end. I’m blessed to be able to awake. I pray 🙏that all people who are being lied to will be woken up as I have been, it is a feeling of disappointment in someone I thought wouldn’t lie to me and that I could trust. Yet, waking up is better than being asleep in a any kind of lie.

I’m just so lost right now in life. I’m scared of love, life, everything. sometimes I don’t want to be here anymore. it’s a constant battle with myself and my mind everyday and I don’t know what to do and how to get my mind right . I don’t feel like anyone can help because I don’t know what the issue is myself. I just want it to stop. I pray to god everyday for his forgiveness, for his strength for his guidance but I can’t feel him or hear him i believe in him I just don’t know what I’m supposed to do. I’m trapped by my thoughts and I know they’re not my own. Sometimes I get really sad out of nowhere and can’t pin out where it’s coming from and why I feel the way that I do. Or sometimes I’ll feel like I’m not good enough for anything and that I’m not worthy enough for god and that he won’t accept me because of the thoughts and feelings I have I’m just lost and I need help. Eventually you'll be able to trust in God and cast all your anxieties on him. Take your time, God is patient and merciful. What you're doing is very admirable and beautiful but focus first on healing yourself (you could listen to Joel Osteen or Billy graham too) and then you can focus on others if you still will so :D let God show you what God can do for you, then follow him and see what you can do through him :)

I watched this yesterday with my grandmother at my mom's house. My mom and I argue often because she spends so much cleaning and house work before anything. I live next door and I serve a lot a church and she tells me all the time so stop spending so much time with God and more on my house. I hope she was listening.

It was amazing to attend this in person. I watch/ listen to Pastor Steven ALL the time. This Sermon was powerful. My husband (who does not attend church with me back at home (Michigan) was selfless & went with me to Elevation to see/hear Pastor Furtick. He thought Pastor was pretty cool and did not fall asleep. Won’t God do it! Bikers like Pastor Furtick.

Working with a servants heart can be worship. I love that Pastor Steven made a point that it was not Martha's action but her attitude that Jesus had a problem with.

Every time I've heard this passage preached, Martha was tore down for petty and less than her sister. I always felt that was harsh. This.... this was an amazing interpretation.

I never really got this story/parable in the Bible. I thought about Martha the way Pastor Furtick mentioned. I liked her....I've known too many "Mary's" in my life (but not in a spiritual-sittjng at Jesus' feet way and intent of the parable) so it drove me nuts. The breakdown of the meaning to gain the understanding of what the truth of the matter was is incredible! Finally, I have insight of this in the Bible. I needed to understand and get into alignment with what God wants for and from me. "Mind blown"!
