- In this video I will demonstrate how to remove motorcycle brake caliper pistons first using air pressure (not required), then a ratchet, sockets, and socket extensions. Hopefully this will help some other people out. I picked this trick up on CZcams of all places. The key to making this work is patience, not brute force. It worked fantastic for me. Enjoy the video.

I'm glad this helped you out Will. Good luck.
I will try to use your trick to remove my bike's piston. It succeeds, will get back to channel again
Good luck. Hope it works for you!!!
Excellent work Ken!!
Extremely helpful 🎉🙏🏼
Glad to hear it was helpful.
You just saved my ass, just did this on stuck 2000 concours pistons. Thank you!!
Glad to hear it helped James.
Congratulations for this truc. I going to try it too in my gs500e. But I see in your video, the rear brake caliper gs500 is the same with axz350. The 3erd than you clean.
Another great video!
Thanks Frank. Trying to reach a larger audience than just the RZ crowd, you know?
Dude you just saved me. Thanks!
You're welcome William. I'm glad it helped. It's a great trick, ain't it?
EXCELLENT
Brilliant! This is what YT is about, genuine hacks that are so simple you could kick yourself. Ok not straightforward but the technique always seems to get results. I have a front motorcycle brake calliper from a Honda VFR800 with a seemingly stuck middle piston of 3. The outer two all move fine really easily. Shall have to try this technique. Thank you. Sub'd.
Thanks Alex. I hope it works out for you. There seems to be a sweet spot when doing this. Take your time when it breaks free it'll put a smile on your face.
@@KensGarage1This worked like a charm for me thank you.
@@jeffreygorodokin4112 Glad to hear jeffrey. You are welcome.
Nice trick. But won't work on calipers with pistons that face each other.
Have to do one at a time.
Two wood wedges to hold pistons then pliers and ragS
Tip start with the hardest one
Also I use tyre pump?
