Keep getting air pockets in mine, when I'm out on a ride, no matter how many times I bleed it. Usually the left one

On my 1980s Yamaha XV1000 with stubborn petcock leaks, I discoverd that the body of the petcock on the diagphram side and the square cover with 4 screws were both warped (no longer perfectly flat), so I flattened them both with fine wet/ dry sandpaper on a machined flat steel surface. Leaks gone!

for any first timers- the orings are bigger than the pins. so when placing the masterlink into the 2 ends of the chain, they move around and are supposed to fit over the sleves on the ends of the chain as well as on the other side. so while you're pressing the link plate on you can stop and look at the plate to see if the oring is not centering over the sleeve. the masterlink side you can see it move over the greased sleeve before moving onto the plate side. as they can get pinched in a machined environment such as this application. once it gets pinched it wont suprisingly just hop over into it's bedding position. and that will be the place that causes the chain reaction of failure. just so you know why they're so big on the pin. with grease they'll stay on the sleeves.when you're all done with the flaring you can measure with calipers how wide they are, they're supposed to be pretty close couple thousandths maybe, if one is a lot wider than the other, it means something isn't quite square or you just over-flared one side, and that puts an extra load on the one side of a plate, it'll be a more wear point. for 300 or 400 dollars it's best if you get it on right so i'll last longer than a year or 2, and i wouldn't put aluminum rear sprocket on at all. most bikes running this set up have some hp and torque, the weakest link is how good the bike's traction is with that power, if it hooks up like never before, they can handle the extra weight, aluminum should be left at the part stores.

My VLX 600 is leaking gas, I think its from the petcock itself. When I shut off the engine, the leak stops. Can it be malfunction, always "Pri", and then when the carbis are full, it just releases fuel out?

Tool needs lube on threads & rivet anvil, as it tends to stick inside the hollow bolt ... Personally I'd use a lot more grease on the pins & inside the bushes where the pins go thru, you've used minimal lube.

Measure measure measure the tolerances. Also be sure to check to see if there is binding or sticking links. I have this tool and a good standard tool. Both have advantages The rear pin looks like it’s too tight.

I flew down from Montreal to visit a friend who lives in Los Gatos. Wet weather but still fun. Great bikes and crowd. Loved your bike. Saw it at the 2018 Quail too. I thought Kenny Roberts was unusually quiet and it looks like arthritis is catching up with him.

Hi Ken, I am working on my old original 83 Rz and have found there to be several spots on the frame where the paint is gone and corrosion is setting in. What are you thoughts on having the frame painted VS powder coated? Also I am wanting to maintain the original red paint colour. Are you familiar with what this is called and best way to match it? I've never met him but only recently seen his work on this channel and other channels and magazines not knowing he was the genius behind some epic 2 wheeled creation. I can cut, bend and weld various metal but not even remotely close to Julians master level.Gone but not forgotten!!

I have the same tv and bracket. I had an issue the tv is tilted forward because it is heavy (110 lb). Could you take a side picture to see it is flushed straight to the wall or still tilted?

H.D. riders can be such Prima Donna's. They barely even acknowledge people on other bike brands like they did with you there. I'm in the NorCal area and not familiar with The Junction. I would also love to find a good 2-stroke tuner near me if you know of any in the Sacramento area. I'm so close to having it perfect but, I think I need 32's instead of the 28's I put on it. Yours sounds sweet.

Bought this tire changer and if you think it will be easy think again it is HARD.....sure pros make anything look easy.. One hint ALL the No Mar company videos? COMMENTS DISABLED another HUGE hint of trouble? They dont sell on Amazon,,,why? Amazon has FEEDBACK....they do sell on Ebay but feedback is much easier to control on Ebay.
