- A cheap way to make a a Brake Piston puller to avoid damages while stripping a seized Caliper. These Calipers are from a Honda VTR1000 Firestorm / CBR900 Fireblade.
The same can be made without a Lathe, but I did it this way to build a collection of various sizes for future use. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Very clever nice work to end the week with a win cheers
Smart idea chris
Cheers Paul.
A brake rebuild video would be good, always handy to pick up tips.
great idea bet it could be used as a bearing puller aswell
Yes. There no limit to how big I can make them. I think for the next size up after 24mm, I'll be using 10mm Nut and Bolt. I might weld T-handles to them instead of using the Spanner Flat method.
Top job. Cheers for the info.
Glad it helped. I've opened up so many Calipers to find that 'matey, who can do it cheaper' has mauled the pistons with his Fisher Price Vice Grips.
@@guerrillabuildchoppers4823 currently got a seized piston in a Brembo, and air hasn't shifted it so I was going to buy a puller set until I saw your vid. Helps a lot and will save me a small fortune so thanks again.
Give the Caliper a warm with hot air gun too. They'll fall out.
@@guerrillabuildchoppers4823 Sorted using your home made puller. Many thanks.
Now that is a cracking idea bud.
The funny thing is, that when I made the first set of these for the Alloy Pistons on my Busa, I was working at Niges the following day and told him of my round the houses way of dealing with it. He paused for a second, walked over to his Tooolbox and show me the SnapOn set He'd bought a month earlier. Theres very little that hasn't been invented. In any case, my way is more Guerrilla Built.
@@guerrillabuildchoppers4823 gaha doesn't surprise me in the least that Nige would have a tool for everything 😂
