  • At Piesangkloof, Magaliesberg, South Africa. Go pro and cell phone footage of the same obstacle. As usual the video doesn't show how steep it really is. Even the Rubicon had to have a couple of goes at it.

    The red mudflaps add at least 5 hp, lol.

    The system is not perfect, The main problem is that you lose momentum and that is crucial... But suzuki did a great job With this little one, can't wait to see accessories and suspension to make it fully a good contender

    No flex in the tyres which means they didn't deflate them hence the lack of traction.

    Only tires and mudflaps on this car? (If so, yeap it is pretty convincing for a stock setup!) May I also ask how the auto gearbox drives on the highway with these tires, much hunting 3rd/4th gear or not?

    Thanks for sharing this footage. Impressive, and it does look pretty steep to me. What type/brand of tires were installed, if I may ask?

    Hi, thanks for keeping up the videos on the new Jimny. I also have one and was wondering if your drive train is a bit noise and even more so when in 4 low. Also when you are using the hill descent function do you get noise from the front area of the car? Thanks for your time and please keep the videos coming.

    • @bigjimnycub9582
      @bigjimnycub9582 Před 4 lety

      Yes on all points. Completely nornal. Noise on hill decent is the breaks machine gunning the disks 👍

    Great little 4x4, but it needs diff locks, then it will be unstoppable!!!

    • @vicrundle4661
      @vicrundle4661  Před 5 lety +2

      As is, it keeps up with everything else. Yes diff locks make a big difference, but will only be necessary on really hard trails.

    A lot of tyre slipping and hardly any grip. I thought there was some kind of diff lock on this to give equal power to all wheels and to prevent wheelspin ? Im no expert on these systems, sorry.

    • @vicrundle4661
      @vicrundle4661  Před 4 lety +1

      Proper differential locks would give equal torque to wheels on the same axle. This system brakes a spinning wheel allowing torque to be transferred to the other wheel on the same axle. The system is far from perfect, but is still a lot better than open diffs.

    • @vicrundle4661
      @vicrundle4661  Před 5 lety

      Traction control is cheap. It's just another program on the ESC, which in many countries is required by law.

    • @vicrundle4661
      @vicrundle4661  Před 5 lety

      The traction control is a huge improvement over open diffs.
