There is a slight difference between the rails of the rifle version and the pistol version. At the end of the rail closest to the muzzle end, those screws hold in a piece that is longer than the rifle version because the ATF doesn't want those with a brace to have the same length of pull as a rifle. They can be replaced with the rifle version once you file a form 1. I've heard of B&T sensing them out for free.
I’m glad they pushed the barrel out just past the handguard. I’ve heard that a few people with earlier generations had trouble mounting larger diameter cans with the recessed threads.

IMO.. When using a silencer, the optional try log looks better if using direct thread. And the one thing SPC has over APC series is the restriction of round pop noises. My SD allows them to escape through the charge handle canals. #Annoying

I just received my SPC9 PDW in the same color pattern. Mine has a threaded end on the barrel, that came with a Tri-lug adaptor, that threads on the end there. I wonder why mine is different from yours?

I varies by variant. They have shipped these in three different barrel configurations.
