I’m not gonna lie, I have watched this video probably 20 times and I’m not sure this is very understandable for everybody. I talk slower than usual ( if that could have been possible!) and I was very much affraid I’m gonna lose you throughout the video so I’ve decided to clear some things in here and make it easier.
There are no rules in makeup. Period.
BUT fair skin tone with red undertone won’t look the best with a very warm tone red, it’ll make your teeth look yellow.
No matter your skin tone is, if your UNDERTONE is warm or olive you WILL look amazing with warm , orangy reds.
Cooler tone reds are amazing for most skin undertones. It’ll make your TEETH look whiter and even if they work amazing with cool skin undertone, it would look damn good with warmer skin undertones too.
Keep in mind a few things when you apply red lipstick:
    - always even out your skin tone ( if you have pigmentation spots, redness etc)
    - let the rest of your makeup breath, don’t apply too much on the eyes or skin, else it’ll look cheap
    - blur the lip line using a q-tip for a soft daytime look
    - sharpen that lip line for a more evening look
    - matte liquid lipsticks go great for a cocktail for evening look
    - classic red lipstick look are perfect during the day
    - exfoliate your lips once a week or whenever it’s necessary, you don’t need a fancy product for that
    - wear lipstick with confidence, it will make people stare
Thank you for watching ! Hopefully this was helpful !

I am a 50+ woman who used to love playing with makeup in my 20’s, but frankly had stopped wearing much besides concealer when not getting ready for something special. You have inspired me to play at being girly again and that makeup is empowering. I’m now learning what to do with a 50 year old face that has wrinkles, so I appreciate your insight. I’m happy to say I bought the Sephora 01 Red Lipstick tonight and can’t wait to wear it with my favorite white top for a date with my husband tomorrow! 💄 Merci Beaucoup!! 😘

When I was 22 I got a red lipstick as a gift from an older friend. She observed that I only used nude or beige lipstick. Since that first red (a very bright pure red), this color never left my vanity. I use red almost everyday for work. Pure red is my vibe, but I truly can pull off any red because I feel confident with bright lips.

They say "when in doubt wear red" and I believe it's 100% correct! Plz do a French look tutorial. I think the French minimalism and freshness are amazing! 😘😘😘

I’m over 50 now. The Chanel reds that I have & stopped wearing, I now wear by first applying a lip balm, let it absorb & then blot any excess off. I then apply the red from the bullet or with a brush. It’s a bit more sheer & easier to wear. Thanks Andrea, because it’s you that made me revisit my reds!!

Great job, Andrea, thank you! Actually, the “how to choose the right nude” would be perfect as well.

I've started to wear red lipstick probably 11-12 years ago when I was just a teenager. Deeply inspired by Dita von Teese look I decided to try it on myself. Now it's my signature look and I absolutely adore red lipsticks. They're a majority in my makeup collection and I use to wear red lips every day. I think it's sooo chic and gives me +100 points to self confidence.

I’ve been wearing red lipstick ever since I was 16 and I will always wear it!! Always chic. I love it and wish more women would feel more comfortable wearing it too!

This is your first video that I'm watching and I subscribed. Make up tutorials were missing someone as relaxing and real as you. You're making me comfortable with my lack of knowledge 😊

Thank you so much for this! I have pale olive (i.e. neutral leaning slightly warm) and have been very confused about why I prefer different tones of red at different times of year. Summer or warmer months, I love warm reds-orangey reds; but when the weather cools (and my skin lightens, maybe?) they don't work so well anymore, and I lean to more neutral or vampy or at the warmest - brick tones. This was super-helpful!

Thanks again Andreea! I’ve been watching your videos for almost a year and makeup has become so much more joyful for me. Probably because you share your tips with such smiles and heart 💛 I understand your advice but when I am in the store looking at lipsticks I cannot guess what undertones it has, so I am stuck not knowing what to buy. Maybe with more practice this will get better. If you have any advice that will help me learn how to see tones and undertones in colors I would so much appreciate. Thanks so much 🤗
