It is good to see an airline like United operating a big plane on such a transcon flight. So I tried flying in economy and was pleased with the plane but disappointed with the service.

I did this flight yesterday... what a nightmare, the seat tvs didn't work, 1 hour delay, turbulence the entire flight, we flew through a thunderstorm, arrived at lax at 11:30. Left at 7
Im sorry you had to go through that, what a shame to hear. United offers a relatively solid product but of course no airline is perfect. The part about the IFE not working is unacceptable but I guess there isn’t too much they could do about the weather.
Yeah, what a stressful flight, taking off was so stressful. But the attendants were really good

You took a domestic flight during corona, why would you expect an extravagant meal?
5:37 all the Harry Potter films available to watch on United 787-10! (I'm a Harry Potter fan & my house is Gryffindor). The 787 is my favorite United aircraft
Cool! I'm a Ravenclaw ;) United offers several complete movie sets on thier IFE sytems which really nice. The 787 is also a very smooth and comfortable aircarft to fly on.
They don’t have free food and blankets in basic economy on transcontinental service. They have it in economy plus and I know they had it in economy at one point.
They never had a meal but like you said, they did used to have blankets
@@theplanefacts I’m surprised they haven’t upgraded their service a bit on those routes as they are not competing with any ultra low cost carriers like on most other domestic routes.

Flew United from Chicago to Honolulu on the 787 and received a blanket as well as a meal. It was actually one of the best flights I've had with them. I was quite impressed.
