I really want to praise both teams for the sportsmanship tonight. Like seeing players helping the other players from the other team up off the ground. Like seeing the hugs and the hand shaking after the game. Shows class on both sides. Much respect.

Not a Georgia fan but I think if and most like when they see each other in the final it will be an even better game. I knew if Alabama played poorly and still beat descent teams ... that if they ever played a complete game.. focused from start to finish, they'd be dominant... they always played from slow starts and trying to win at the end... finally Georgia faced a focused, angry Bama team who had been really written off..but I'm glad I knew they hadn't played their best game all season, and tonight served noticed on the football committee, fanbase, and doubters that despite their issues they're still a elite team to be reckoned with .. I'm an LSU fan and, after watching the Bama LSU game, or whatever that clusterfuck was, I was not impressed by Bama this year. They looked totally different today. They looked very good and I'm curious to see who they get to play in the playoffs. I'd love to see them play Michigan. I haven't seen Michigan this good since... basically since I've been old enough to follow any teams.
Seriously though, what the hell happened vs. LSU? LSU is terrible this year and they basically should have beaten Bama if it weren't for two inexplicably overthrown wide open touchdown passes. I think Bama just hasn't been consistent this season. If they play like they played vs. GA today, though. They will probably win another championship imo. Good luck to them.

As a Georgia fan I have to say this Bama team should not be underrated under any circumstances I think both teams are playoff worthy just this game proved how good the Tide is.

Pretty sure that was the number one criticism Saban has was the lack of focus. It’s clear as day the Texas A&M game was a fluke. The real scary thing is this team is still young and have some even better freshman players on the bench. They’re going to be scary the next two years especially with Ty Simpson coming in and studying under Bryce next year.
Every game is a playoff game. Every team is a national championship contender. I am so tired of reading about how effort isn't the same every game. It is! It just so happens that the team on the other side has pride in performance as well. For Heaven's sake give them credit!

TBH, the bama team this year really hadn't done as much to earn respect this year as they have in some other years. Sure, the talent was there, bit they couldn't put it to use consistently as a team. This is probably the first complete game they've played all year. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they won and all, but I'm just surprised because they'd not shown me anything approaching this level of performance all year.

@Jack Stivers I agree that those truly are the two most difficult conference divisions in CFB with the SEC West being the top. The ACC Atlantic and SEC West other than 1 or 2 weaker teams and of course some down years for different teams, those two divisions can be brutal year after year when people actually watch the teams play and not put a high ranking next to them just because of who they are.

Luckily Bama showed up. I only saw one of their games this season, the one vs. LSU. They looked like hot garbage that game and should have lost to the worst LSU team in 10 years if Max Johnson hadn't overthrown two 20 yard TD passes on wide open receivers. I am from Missouri so really was just looking forward tonight seeing a college footbal game between two excellent teams. Alabama was clearly the better team tonight, but Georgia likely gets a second chance at Alabama in a few weeks. There are times when I think an Alabama football team would beat several of the NFL teams. They are just that good and well coached. For me, it is just a great day of watching college football that started with the ending of the Baylor win at the end of the game versus Oklahoma State. Alabama and Georgia have the shot at replaying this game soon.
Dont matter!!! They let the Dawgs loose and Young still shredded them... Georgia secondary is suspect... Keep Godzilla on the field with tempo and he done. We had no run game and lost a receiver and still punished them. Nobody wants to see Georgia Alabama again. Number 1 on that list is Georgia!!
I agree that it was a great showing by both teams. But Alabama wouldn't beat any pro teams. Maybe 5 of Alabama's players will make it in pros, fewer will last. The majority won't get a chance because pro is another level. It would be interesting to watch it, but it would be too dangerous, especially to the college team and no pro team would take a chance of an injury ruining an earning potential of the players for, what would boil down to, an exhibition match.
@@stewg4661 That is a good point. I remember growing up in the 1960s during the summer months likely during training camps they played a game of college football all-stars against the prior winner of the NFL title, but the college all-stars rarely won.

The whole team is made up of some of the best recruits in the nation every year. Everyone good wants to go to BAMA because it's basically a NFL mill. Nick Saban is a good coach, but the program and synergy around it makes him look like a coaching god. Don't think he would have nearly the same amount of success coaching a program like Pitt. Look at his Dolphins head coach record for instance.
