Nick Fury: Agent Of Shield - Caravan Of Garbage

- The Falcon & The Winter Soldier is bringing small screen Marvel espionage back to the small screen. A tradition I dare say began back in 1998 when one David Michael Hasselhoff took on the role of Nick Fury in the full length television movie Nick Fury: Agent Of Shield. With a swath of legendary Marvel characters that look and act nothing like this comic book counterparts this truly was a low point of comic book adaptions. Hasslehoff is tall though that cannot be denied. Thanks for listening!

#Marvel #TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier - Zábava
“If the scenes not being filmed in some underground lair filled with pipes it’s just being filmed in an alleyway. Just a dreary old alleyway in Vancouver”
What a perfect description of CW superhero shows
“It’s not called snake and you kill it with a shovel and it’s dead” lmfao
Yes.
We know.
We heard him too.
Good job repeating it though.
"I think David Hasselhoff is well cast as Nick Fury."
"I think he looks like him, but he's terrible."
"Well... all right."
Stan Lee approved. I remember him spruiking this one in comics pages back in the day
But he's so tall!
When I first saw the thumbnail I was confused because I was so sure that Will Ferrell was playing Fury lmao.. don't ask me why, I don't know myself
@@ThreadBomb The original nick fury is tall with hair. Doesn’t appear to age and had training and gadgets like James Bond. It’s a crime that the original nick fury didn’t have a movie. There was a lot of comics and illustrations of the old nick fury. He even fought with tall aliens. A very brave, gutsy leader. The current one is boring.
@@rageoftheredphoenix does the height of the aliens in question really matter here? Lol
This movie is what would happen if Hallmark Channel started making action movies
Lokey I would watch hallmark then
That’s low-key CW
1,000% accurate!
Dead-on.
I’d love to see Hasselhoff in Multiverse of Madness as an alternate reality Nick Fury.
Unlikely, Hasselhoff already cameoed in Guardians of the Galaxy 2
yeah but then Peter Parker would be there to point that out 😂
@@noimnotapokemon8699 to be fair they reference movies that have actors from the Mcu in the mcu
@@noimnotapokemon8699
1. They reference movies in the MCU that have actors that are in the MCU. (First example that comes to my mind: Hot Tub Time Machine with Sebastian Stan aka Bucky, Star Wars is referenced several times, which of course has Sam L. Jackson) So it seems like the MCU characters just happen to look a lot like actors.
2. It could just be 2 seconds of an alternate reality Nick Fury that just happens to look exactly like David Hasselhoff, the same way that Nick Fury Sr. In the comics just happens to look exactly like David Hasselhoff.
3. I just need more David Hasselhoff in my life get off my back about it
Iron man calls Thor Big Lebowski and he fought Jeff Bridges
For a while, I swore this was a fever dream I had when I was little.
We made a video on it and I still feel the same way
@@mrsundaymovies it's admirable how much you guys suffer for your art
You didn't imagine it. I saw this when it originally aired as well as the Generation X TV movie on Fox too. This was better but that's not saying much.
@@alucard624 I was so psyched for Generation X as a kid, and mannn what a swift kick in the crotch that was.
@@mrsundaymovies can you review smallville next for your caravan of garbage love that show !

Well, it’s on CZcams. Lol

I got the free dvd back when lovefilm rental was a thing!
Disney bars you from watching Falcon and the Winter Soldier unless you can answer 5 questions about Nick Fury: Agents of Shield.
James has watched it and can only answer 3.
Only true marvel fans have seen a marvel movie
James and Mason are talking about this movie like they saw it 4 years ago.
Cool. The theatrical cut version of this review.
#releasethemasocut
"Cool."
After this, you gotta do Dolph Lundgren's punisher.
Reb Brown’s Captain America
Please don’t ruin that movie for me. I remember watching it when i was 14(or so) and absolutely loving it. I’d hate to know it was crap!
@Larry Dube it’s definitely one of the better movies of the marvel movie dark age
What about the incredible hulk tv movies? One featuring a thor team up & the other featuring daredevil.
@@larrydube1302 This movie was great for a 14 yr old in 1989! And, Lois Gossett Jr. was awesome as always. But, yeah....maybe it’s best not to revisit.
There was a time when comic books fans like me where actually excited even for stuff like this, because there just weren't comic books movie at all. God, I'm old.
Just looked this up on IMDB. The cover says “from ONE of the writers of Batman Begins” which is kind of hilarious.
Well... Technically they're not wrong. Technically
You gotta get worse before you get better 😆 🤣 😂
It’s not hilarious. The original nick fury was Caucasian for several decades. A far better athlete than this version of a bald, Nubian guy with an attitude problem. Like I never saw a character like that description before. The original fought tall aliens, was very good in hand to hand combat and weapons, piloted a flying car and rocket pack, never appeared to age, was tall and not bald and had gadgets like James Bond. The current one is boring. The original I would love to pay money to see. I am for authenticity...as the characters were for many years.
Real fans of the original nick fury want him back. Take the pc aa version and stuff it! Pc writers! Too much race changing of characters is pathetic and cowardly. What’s the matter pc writers can’t come up with original characters and you have to sacrifice existing long lasting characters that are historical and fictional and race change them? I see still see that as chickens writers for doing that! As I said earlier I am for actors that would play characters that are in the stories and cartoons. Who look like how they were. No race changing. If whites are changed for black then it is only fair the other way around. Black to white. I want to see a white black lighting. A white fat Albert. A white Martin Luther king. No? Then leave things the way the were. As the stories have describe them for decades and centuries. Then no one gets insulted or offended.
@@rageoftheredphoenix Are you like, okay?
They made Nick Fury look like Sam Jackson before he was even casted.
The white one is either his son or dad
David is probably slow and uncoordinated because he is just too big. He is too much of a giant to move gracefully, that’s why he runs in slow motion
I mean, he's the same height as Batfleck, and he moved like a monster. David probably didn't get any proper choreography or training, the camerawork does nothing for what little he's given, and he might've just been uncoordinated. Not to mention that he never had a stunt double.
@@thechad4485 I wouldn’t say he moved like a monster. I mean he sure can do pull ups and flip tires but that doesn’t make him athletic or coordinated, Affleck even said he isn’t athletic and judging by how looked throughout his career I can see that being true.
No disrespect to his stunt double though, I’m sure is extremely difficult to move around in that big bat costume
@@TheGrimStride Richard Cetrone, who is the same height as Affleck, did his stunts. Big guys can move with speed and brutality. It just takes practice, training, full-send commitment, and (I imagine) some level of natural coordination.
Thats full speed for him
No, he’s spent like years running in slo-mo on Baywatch and it’s finally caught up to him.
I love how the Rock claims to be 6'5" and yet the Hoff who is 6'4" is clearly much taller than him. 🤔
"It's called Hydra! It's not called Snake and you hit it with a shovel..."
I lost it! 🤣🤣🤣
Don't you realize that Hasslehoff is in every MCU movie?
Honestly such an oversight
Years ago comic reading friends talked about randomly stumbling onto this madness late one evening
11:29 Wow. Meatballs “It just doesn’t matter!” scene. That was a DEEP cut.
Out of curiosity I checked to see what Lisa Rinna has been up to lately and she posted a picture of her time on this TODAY which means, Lisa Rinna: Maso lover confirmed.
Celebrities, THEY’RE JUST LIKE US!
My sister was the script supervisor for this movie. I remember her telling me even during filming she thought it was going to be bad. I think she scored me comic signed by Hasselhoff or something, but I’ve long since lost it.
I enjoy how all the Hydra goons look like bad Mr Freeze cosplayers
I think their look is one of the least problematic parts of this movie.
After 4 years of listening and watching.... THIS is the CoG that I've been most excited for.
"Just a dreary old alleyway in Vancouver" You have no idea how weirdly proud us Vancouverites are of our dreary old alleyways all over 90s TV/film.
Caravan of garbage has some of the best/most hilarious editing I've ever seen.
I already listened to the extended cut, this is just to support the boys!
7:50 Maso's exasperated "Oh my- James!" is something I never thought I'd hear. Maso is the one who retained this more. How the turntables
I've seen several clips of the movie, because I refused to view the entire thing. Nice to know Sandra hess did more things outside of MK Annihilation and that episode of Sliders, also that Lisa Rinna was youthful once, and hey, Garry Chalk, Optimus Primal and early to mid 2000's Optimus Prime himself!
They called Gary Chalk "Just some guy". Biggest snub in this video.
Gary Chalk!! Yes!!
I actually saw this movie nearly in its entirety. I did notice early on that Kevin Kiner composed the score for this film.
@@thisisnotme33 they should review Beast Wars as penance!
@@Undrave I'd love to hear their take on Beasties, Shadow Raiders, and Reboot.
When they kept saying "jousting pole" and the editor used A Knight's Tale clips, I thought FOR SURE that they were gonna sneak in "It's called a lance, hello" too.
As a photo of Lance Henriksen pops on screen.
I only came to the comments to find a comment about Jousting poles. LOL
This film saved me from a sleepless night in a hotel, started watching and didn't stay awake for that long
yalls better do a 1 and half hour review of Snyder cut, and then have ben step out halfway through making it so mason has to edit the other and then release the ben cut #releasethebencut
'There's nothing about this guy that says you need him'
The fact that you could be talking about Fury in Secret Invasion from this year is hilarious

I remember watching this on tv as a kid with my family. It was hyped as being a huge deal and even then I knew it sucked lol.
So you're saying "tall & dull" essentially? Incidentally, Torlen Düll was the Swedish scientist who first proposed the idea of digging to China in a sweaty vest next to the door of your home.
They have to bring this back in Multiverse of Madness. Please 👀
Shout-out to the Norm MacDonald 'obvious tragedy' reference. That's quality pop culture right there.

David S. Goyer did NOT write The Wolverine. You're welcome
16:26 the most honest critic that ever lived lol
Uh oh. Now you must watch Generation X. It is decided.
I don't know if they can handle that abomination. Seriously, it's worse than this film. I'd rather watch another short lived superhero show that Fox had on around that time called MANTIS than the Generation X TV movie.
YAAAAAS.
That show is the stuff of my vaguely mutant but legally distinct bland TV-budgeted dreams.
@@meloD30 You forget Mutant X was a show as well lol. Mutant X was a Canadian science fiction television series that first aired October 6, 2001, and the story centered around Mutant X, a team of "New Mutants" who possess extraordinary powers as a result of genetic engineering. Like hundreds of other unsuspecting people, the members of Mutant X were used as test subjects in a series of covert government experiments. The company behind the project wants to control these New Mutants for its own purposes. The mission of Mutant X was to seek out their fellow New Mutants, help them come to terms with their abilities, and protect them from those who want to exploit their powers. The show was abruptly cancelled in 2004 due to the dismantling of Fireworks Entertainment which is one of the show production companies and was meant to be renewed for a fourth season. It was not meant to be abruptly cancelled.
They played that movie on Fox in the mid-2000s, I watched it confused without sound while waiting an hour for a hot dog at Alice Coopers restaurant.
I loved when Samuel L Jackson said he watched this movie and decided not to do anything like it with his Nick Fury.
I remember watching this on late night TV, just waiting for it to get good. Waiting and waiting and waiting and...still waiting. Until today! Now it's a Caravan of Garbage! Worth it.
The content on this channel is pure gold. I love it. I rewatch old videos and still laugh.
I unironically enjoyed this, I do not care. At least it's not Captain-rubber-ears-on-mask-Italian-Red-Skull-America

Oh missed a cut off the head of the snake and the body dies saying here...
the real hero's here are you two for torturing yourself by watching this for our enjoyment, thank you
I would like to find out that when in the Winter Soldier, the undercover “mask” that Scarjo takes off when they’re bringing out Robert Redford is a callback to that stupid spray they use in this 😂
Lisa Rinna before she went overboard with plastic surgery and jokerized her face completely years later. She used to be damn good looking too.
It’s a shame what this world ends up making people think they have to do to be valuable, relevant, have worth or whatever have you. Let’s not pretend looks don’t matter. I just feel bad for her, hope she’s happy in the end.

"It's called a lance. Hellooo!"
Perfect video to watch while going on a super secret spy mission with David Hasselhoff.
It’s actually shocking the amount of elements from this that were brought into agents of shield
Could you expand on that ? I love AoS, so I'm interested to know how much AoS borrowed from this apparent shitshow. What exactly did AoS borrow ?
@@titaninsane I love AOS too. I don’t think they borrowed it but the spray on the woman’s face to change her appearance was like agent 33. Season 4 of AOS had LMDs (from the comics, I know)
@@ethancoogan Nice catch about the spray. I just remembered that.
Most are from the comics anyways.
Mason @ 9:16 "got a jousting pole". It's called a Lance, hello.
This was when hasselhoff was really trying to counteract the image he'd developed
When David Hasselhoff made a UK convention appearance in Manchester I was in the queue for autographs. The line was full of people with Knight Rider and Baywatch items and I was there with my comic store 50th Anniversary of SHIELD poster (Jack Kirby and Jim Steranko art)
I think he was very surprised anyone remembered but he did sign as Colonel Nick Fury/David Hasselhoff.
Really appreciate the nods to both Parks and Rec and Mac and Me. I laughed a lot. Thank you, Ben!
Just now saw Samuel L Jackson leering into the thumbnail ... 3 weeks on ... top notch work, bois.
So out of curiosity I watched a whole 2 minute clip of Nick Fury: Agent of Shield and I just have to say...
It it truly, incredibly, impressively awful, I don't know how you watched all of it.
Thank you for your sacrifice.
always a good day when i can watch one of these. You guys crack me up.
Watching these on Tuesday morning is an important part of my week
Next level editing with the Norm Macdonald clip. That plus a Red Letter Media reference at the beginning and it's feeling like all of my CZcams channels are merging together.
Top notch as always, mates. You guys are my number one source for the MCU(s) that weren't QUITE as successful. Thank you for watching all of these so we don't have to!
They have Nick Fury working in a mine - so ... of course he knows that Hydra girl is halfway to China by now lol
In that scene where they show the Life Model Decoy, I remember really noticing how much more tanned Fury was than the new pasty robot, because of course Hasselhoff works outside a lot.
Top marks for the Mac and Me clip Ben/RAW!
My favourite little clip to be slotted in to one of your videos ever is that Norm MacDonald one, I genuinely laughed out loud
Love the "I don't want to talk about it anymore" 😂

Never thought in a million years I’d see limmy in a Mr Sunday Movies video. We are truly living in the multiverse
to be fair, Sonya 2.0 used Velospheres to travel through the earth's core, she's collecting "flyer" miles
A sign of great content, the drastic difference in the like and dislike ratio. Keep it up LADZ
James didn't watch this and relied on Maso for everything. The equivalent to not doing your homework.
To be fair, there are a few videos where Maso doesn't watch anything and just provides his great commentary.
Your mom.
I saw this on ABC as a child. I will never go back to it out of fear.
I get the feeling he was filming Gridlock at the same time and he just drove across Toronto from one film set to another.

Yano, thank you for filling my days, weeks, and even years with laugher and above average sometimes crap film speculation review thingys, thanks never stop or change!
Now do the GenerationX pilot!
Also, what are the chances of this showing up on Disney Plus?
Don’t forget Mutant X or the Gifted.
Honestly while not successful they uses the helicarrer,I.M.Ds and other notable characters names. Atleast they cares about making a adaptation of it.
That "grab that gem" edit was fantastic 18:39
you guys should totally go back to doing comics every once in a while, they’re always a great time
Whoever disliked this video is a monster.
It was probably David Hasselhoff with his multiple fake accounts.
On a fourth listen and it sounds like you said "Alexander Piss" and it made me smile.
GD! The editing is sooo good.
MCU goes back way further than we all thought.
I still can't believe there's a Marvel Universe where David Hasselhoff is Nick Fury. That's almost as cool as Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury.
I love that I've seen this already
