My wife and I recently re-watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Gene Wilder's portrayal brought us to the conclusion that Wonka is a fey being. This did nothing but strengthen that conclusion for me.

Update: I watched it. It's fine, but it's nauseatingly whimsical. I can't really buy it as a prequel to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, I can't accept that this version of Willy Wonka turns into the Gene Wilder version, Gene Wilder's Wonka was whimsical, but he he could also be cynical, sarcastic, and downright frightening, you didn't know what he was planning half the time. I also feel like a Willy Wonka story shouldn't have a villain, but maybe that's just me. Having said all that, it's fine, I'll probably show it to my niece when she's old enough to watch the first movie. This video was probably the best scene in the film.

With the success of the 2023 movie Wonka staring Timothée Chalamet as the famous candy man Willy Wonka Netflix needs to do an Original Movie of Charlie and the chocolate factory The Musical based off of the London's West End version of the stage show where it started from back in 2013 at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. The reason why I like the London's West End version of Charlie and the chocolate factory and the reason why it's my favorite because they used child actors to play Augustus, Veruca, Violet, Mike and Charlie. Their casting of child actors to play the five Golden Ticket winners is much better than the Broadway version I saw on tour in the U.S. a few years later. In this Netflix Original Movie it will be stared by the same actor Timothée Chalamet who played Willy Wonka but this time after he ran his factory for many years he decided to invite five children to visit his factory and the story will be like the West End version because it's ok to have a stage show that follows the book and it doesn't always have to be like the 1971 and 2005 films. You can also take some songs from the original movie and put them in different scenes and see what will work for the best in the Netflix Original Movie of Charlie and the chocolate factory The Musical. Also, here are the songs that Netflix should use for act 1 and act 2 from the West End version, Broadway version, stage school/community theatre productions of Willy Wonka and one new song for the Netflix Original Movie.
