Mango Bite was such a great choice for an Indian candy - you'd hand them out to your classmates on your birthday and let your best friends take 2 or more. Childhood classic

I’ve had fun seeing his sunny chirpiness slam up against Hugh’s epic grumpiness on this press tour. Hugh usually succumbs and at least cracks a smile at some point. 😊

I love Timmy. I just look at his reactions, very open and very pleasant personality, very respectful. A lot of the other cast are like they're eating shits. But Timmy, he's just genuinely nice and loving the experience.
I think all the cast enjoyed the experience i think they were more honest about what they really thought about the candy. I personally does not think that Timothee enjoyed all the candy but as lead to a movie or any show, the primary lead job is to be nice in general. But more so in cast interviews. This is the first time out of all the cast interviews that I actually seen him take on more of a humble leadership role. I am proud of him. He did an excellent job.

Mango bite is such a nostalgic and AMAZING treat from India. My grandparents would always give this to me back in India and I’m so glad that they tried as it’s so so so underrated!
Tomtom is actually quite medicinal. Growing up whenever you had a cold/catarrh you kept a lot of that in your school bag/bag pack. That candy DECLOGS your nose. Very solid one for Ghanaians & Nigerians
Finally some South African representation! Love a fizzer, many different flavours but cream soda was a good choice. My fav is grapeee
But they should have made sure they were warm so it did not pull their teeth out.😂

As a person from india mango bite is such a childhood i love mangoes and when I was a kid i would run to the local small shops and buy one of the mango bite for ₹1 and i would get 5 of them and me and my brother would fight for the last piece im glad that the actors like it ! The packaging has not changed and i was surprised that its still around! And as for giving chocolates to your fellow classmates on your birthday is true but we go to the whole school and give the chocolates to the teachers and helpers in my school and we would get birthday wishes and blessings as well !
Mango bite is definitely a Indian classic , everyone loves it (I think) . I have had Chinese one too,it’s tastes exactly like milk, but it wasn’t that hard to eat

They were biting the white rabbit candies like mad. It's like taffy. You let it soften on your tongue, and then you chew. One of my fave candies growing up.
I am french and I too used to go my local boulangerie to buy carambars for 25 cents with my parents money, that's a classic french childhood memory! Along with the dad jokes/lousy jokes written on the wrapping paper. I bought either the caramel ones or the fruity ones (lemon, orange, strawberry)

I think actors and actresses do best in roles that fit their personalities somewhat, regardless how talented they are. Timothee did wonderful in this role because he seemed to be a playful, trusting, giving person his self. His parents raise him well.
I also like how Timothee took the lead being the lead in the movie and how if everyone look at how they act on the red carpet videos and even how they interact with each other in general you can tell that the older ones really look out for the two youngest ones, Calah and Timothee.
I love Hugh Grant, the older he is, grumpier he gets! 😂😂😂

Cream Soda flavour is vanilla. It's meant to taste like a vanilla ice cream float. Timothée's description is bang-on.
In South Africa, our cream soda is not actually vanilla. It's green and supposed to apparently taste like raspberry

Sonho de valsa is my favourite chocolate, been a while since people used it for romance though, but I remember back in the day it came with silly pick-up lines on the wrapping.

As a South African, I really hated fizzer but for some reason it was the sweet everyone brought to share with their class on their birthday. Why should we suffer for something that’s meant to be enjoyable but also soooo sour.

Sonho de Valsa it's obviously delicious, but here in Brazil, our classic candy it's "brigadeiro". Ever foreigner that eat it says that's the best, but it's a handmade desert.
As a South African I just want to say a fizzer would not have been my first choice but it still tastes really good... Also BE CAREFUL with your teeth!! First suck on the fizzer, or break a piece off and then suck on it, and thereafter chew it...❤

Straight away I'm giggling a bit at the irony of Hugh being enraged by the packaging of South African sweets (0:23) despite having South African ancestry.
His grandfather, Col James Murray Grant DSO, OBE was born in Mthatha/Umtata in the Eastern Cape, and his great grandfather General Ronald Charles Grant DSO, OBE was born in East London in the Eastern Cape.
I know he has South African ancestry bc his 2nd great grandpa was married to my 3rd great grandpa (British-South African statesman who annexed the Transvaal to the United Kingdom in 1877)'s brother's sister-in-law

I remember it happening occasionally in America, if the birthday boy/girl wanted to make a big thing out of their day at school. I wasn’t aware of any cultural background, they just wanted to give out treats on their birthday. 😊

The trick with Fizzers is you have to warm them up with body heat, so keep them in your pocket for a while or even sit on them so when you're ready to eat, they'll be more pliable and less tough due to them being warmer.
As a South African I got so excited seeing them eat fizzers, also brought me back to my childhood

I'm from Malaysia and growing up, i love eating the white rabbit candy. Its my favourite. The cast weren't suppose to be chewing it, Usually you just pop it in your mouth and savour the milky taste.
