- What a day on the farm - we headed out North of town towards the reservation for a beautiful morning ride - when things went wrong. The horse was doing so well on the ride when all of a sudden things switched and we ended up in the ER at the hospital. Please keep us in your prayers!

I have to tell you that I’ve only seen a couple of your videos so far, and I am VERY impressed with Blake. His demeanor, patience, technique and calmness with the horses is right on! This young man has a real future in the horse industry. He’s got an excellent head on his shoulders. Blake, the way you handled today’s events speaks volumes. Sir, I hope you will heal well and fast. You have nothing to worry about during your down time with Blake handling things for you. God speed to all of you.

All of us horse people know we're going to eat dirt at least once or twice . Glad You and Blake are ok and prayers for a speedy and healthy recovery to You and family.
Glad to heard you’re going to be okay, Alan. Glad to hear family and friends talked and listened to Blake to help him de-stress the adrenaline rush, so important especially when it’s a parent. Good job for taking care of your dad, Blake.
Thanks so much
Allen, I'm thankful you're ok.
But... You should have let Blake drive home. Not knowing if you had a concussion could have caused a second and much worse accident with the truck and trailer, 2 horses, and your son.
Please consider this as you've clearly raised a young man with a good head on his shoulders.
Get well soon. God bless.
He would have but I had to walk back to the truck and I was worried about Blake so I got in and drove to find him. He was off getting the horse. By the time we got together I hurt so bad I didn’t want to move to passenger side so we drove slow.
@@TheFarmonRoute66 I am thankful you're ok. God bless you and yours.
There is no reason to be imbarrised. Anytime you get on a horse there's that chance of getting hurt. You take it easy and get better Allen. .. We're not as young as we use to be.
Rawhide is a very nice looking horse. I'm glad Allen wasn't hurt any worse. Keeping you guys in my prayers..
Thanks so much!
@@TheFarmonRoute66 Blake is an amazing young man with a very bright future. Very impressed with the way he handled himself and the situation!
Allen was sleeping at the switch. It happens. Blake, it’s on you to get full value of Allen ride, you were there. Pray on it.
Carrieanna Enlow "imbarrised"??
@@sarahjones-jf4pr on the show Allen made the comment that he was imbarrissed that he came of the colt and got hurt. I was asuring him that no matter who you are ,a young horse can surprise anyone and get out from underneath them.
Glad the Lord was watching over you and Blake. You are still a true cowboy. Prayers your shoulder heals quickly! Please keep us updated. Blake did amazing under such emotional and traumatic pressure.
What a wonderful young man you are Blake! Great job taking care of the whole situation 👏🏻 so thankful all is well with you all 😊 my prayers are with you for a speedy recovery ❤️🩹🙏🏻
So glad you were able to handle things. You have a good Christian testimony and we are glad to see your dad is going to be ok.
Blake is amazing, what a down to earth, caring and full of the spirit man he is. So happy you are ok Sir! Prayers for your quick and full recovery. You have an awesome family there to be proud of for sure. However, I wish I had not watched this first thing as I’m off to have my first ride after an injury that kept me chair bound for six weeks this morning and now a bit more nervous. Lol.
Hi, Lori, please let us know how your ride went. You've got this, girl.
hope your first ride went well!
Not embarrassing. Glad you're okay.
Cowboy going to the
Glue factory....
You guys raised a great son. He kept it all together to do what had to be done. And that’s a testament to your great parenting and faith in God that you’ve instilled in him. I’m sure he was scared so much wondering how badly hurt you were and yet getting things done. Very well done Blake. I’m so proud of you as I know your parents and everyone else is as well. God is good. I’m sorry that you’re in so much pain but it will pass. Hopefully a Rx to help some. Praying for a speedy recovery so you can get back out there and ride again. Unfortunately accidents are a part of farm and ranch life. You have nothing to be embarrassed about so put those thoughts out of your mind. Get well soon!
Allan you could see the pain in your eyes as you were talking, thank goodness that Blake was with you and jumped in to action to help the situation. You and Vicky have a brilliant son there ! you have brought up all your family great. They are definitely a credit to you both. Our prayers and thoughts are with you for a speedy recovery. Take care and stay safe.
Always wear a helmet on green horses! I recently got bucked off at 60 with a helmet. I know it’s not cool but our brains are worth it! Broke my ribs! I’m so glad he will be ok!
When I have ridden with my friend on older seasoned horses we still wear our Brain Bowls, you just never know.
Couldn’t agree more. When I started riding over 45 years ago we wore (crappy) helmets for jumping and were bareheaded the rest of the time. Feel naked without a helmet now and I spend the money to buy a good one with the highest safety rating. There is ever more information that brain trauma can come back to haunt you as you age. Horses have been my passion for decades but I have great respect for the fact that they are flight animals and that the laws of physics apply to all of us.
Yep, wear a helmet. Was riding with my daughter six years ago or so, and we were sitting by our vehicle eating, others were also there with their horses. Will never forget the sound of one of those other riders getting kicked in the head by her horse. Thank God she was wearing her helmet…
@@BootScootinBoo Sounds like she is lucky to be alive ! God Bless Her
I’ve never wear a helmet riding my horses
Best wishes on recovering. Ground work is always worth doing when you are not up to more.
You said it! Ground work is ALWAYS worth the time and energy. Specially before trail.
You're in my prayers for a speedy recovery. Blake did a great job helping you. He's a wonderful young man.
I'm thinking before Cowboy gets it set in his mind
Blake needs to put a lot more rides on him. Even if it's around the pasture...
I am so proud of you Blake! Quick and solid thinking .
It was awful to hear Alan in pain. Prayers for a quick recovery.
Every seasoned cowboy has been thrown and every seasoned cowboy has felt some embarrassment about it! Glad you're okay and glad Blake got back with the horse relatively easily! Keep in keepin on! You guys are definitely at the top of my youtube watch list! 👍👍
Thanks so much

Thank God you weren't hurt worse.
Us older folks hit harder than we used too.
Alan hope you have a quick recovery. Blake did awesome. That ground gets harder the older we get. Green horses are unpredictable so dont feel embarassed at all, things happen. Glad to see Bluebell is going to a good home. Rawhide proved his value!
Glad it was not worse! Blake, looks like you may have a jealous horse? Running the others off while you were speaking to us about what happened. You did very good young man, proud of you! God bless.
Wow, you literally missed the whole point.

Praying 🙏 that you will soon feel better and heal. Blake is an incredible young man with so much love for family and animals. Praying for all of your family during this time.
Thank you!
Don't be embarrassed all of us that have ridden enough horses have been bucked off.
Happy your home take time to heal.
Blake is such a nice young man i know your very proud of him.
Bless you all
THANK YOU
Don't feel bad. I started riding when I was 4 years old first-time I was ever thrown was when I was 45 broke my collar bone and got a concussion, torn rotator cup. But she pissed me off and I got back on her and road her out. Now at age 62 I have a hard time walking. Wish I had the energy you have.
Wow, unfortunately accidents do happen. So sorry for your injuries Allen but it looks like you were in good hands with Blake👍
Well it sounds like Rawhide is going to make a fantastic horse for someone! What a good boy he was for Blake, cooperating like a soldier very impressive👍❤️
Vickie, I feel for ya....a lot for a mom to take all at once🙏❤️. Vickie has an adorable smile, the kind only a wonderful momma can have💕💯
God bless you and yours 🙏❤️🌈🌤
Allen--Glad you're okay. Blake--Job well done. I appreciate that this channel is so honest and lets viewers see both nice things and the not-so-nice things that happen. Thank you for sharing. God bless.
Thank you
So glad you're home safe and sound. I know how you feel as I was thrown from a horse and broke my scapula as well as several ribs. Its very painful. Poor Blake, my heart went out to him trying to look after you. Glad also that the horses were ok. Get well soon xxx

You have a son whose first thoughts were to pray as he took responsibility for the situation. Your family is greatly favored and blessed.
Thank you! We have been blessed with great kids!
God was with u both any horse accident is scary. Can’t wait to see u and your son back working with the horse stay safe.
Very thankful that you were not more seriously hurt! Blake and Rawhide kept their wits about them, what a terrific son you have! Prayers for a speedy recovery.
Blake is such a good looking young man. I am so happy he is into so many sports and the ranch instead chasing girls. He is so adorable and his sense of calm shows his maturity. So glad that you are okay.
Alan, prayers for a quick recovery.
So happy everyone is safe. Blake, good job. Way to cowboy up🤠 Alan, blessings on you. Pray for your comfort and swift clean healing. Vicky, keep 'em in line!
Thanks so much
Well done Blake. Sorry it happened and grateful for your horse respecting you as higher than him. Alan, you're one tough cookie, God picked you up and sent His friends to lift you all. Speedy healing💐
Blessings to the Palmer family. Can't tell you how many times I parted ways from a horse. I thought dislocating my elbow was painful! Mr. Palmer, you will heal quickly with that beautiful nurse and Blake to care for the farm.❤
Blake you are such an awesome young man, your family is so lucky to have you.
Hope your feeling better Alan! You can never be prepared for equipment failures! Good job Blake finding Cowboy and getting yourself back to help your dad!
omg every one of us cowboys/cowgirls have gotten dumped one time or another .No reason to be embarrassed at all you were very brave getting on the video to let us know what happen . Your son is also so brave and such a wonderful young man . you and your wife have every reason to be proud of your family .
Blake handled himself so well, you have a great young man there. So sorry you got injured, give yourself time to heal!!! You were a trooper, that is a painful injury!
Blake, you are caring and wise beyond your years. You handled this accident like a boss. 😀
2 things
1: praying for you to feel better
2: whatever you do keep rawhide he will be a great horse to teach other horses and if that happens again he knows his job
Holy Moly! Wishing you a speedy recovery.
You and your wife have raised quite a responsible and smart young man with your son Blake who handled the whole situation calmly. You are correct in saying that things could have been much worse and that's why we should always be thankful, for each and every day is a good day!
I am a recent subscriber to Route 66 and enjoy watching your daily routines with the horses and the ranch lifestyle. Thank you and God bless!~
Praying for a quick and complete recovery. 🙏🏻
I am so grateful for all of you what gentle good horses you have. Even on their worst moments they are precious.
It happens to any of us who decides to get involved with horses. It's bound to happen at some point. Myself, I have been thrown and dragged, rolled on,kicked. Yes,horses are gentle by nature but you can never forget that they are a Fight or Flight animal. We still love them nonetheless. After all someone has to.
Glad Allen and Blake will be ok.
@@carolynlargent2806 Yeah, seriously. So am I. It will take some time for Allen to heal up though so it's a good thing that Blake is on summer break.Allen is going to need his help at the Farm. Broke the top of his shoulder blade that ain't no joke. He's going to be one hurting puppy for a while.
I always say..... riding a horse is merely and agreement between horse and rider that can be subject to change at any time.
good thing you were together, never ride alone
Praying that you heal soon Alan, don't be embarrassed stuff like this happens to everyone. Your in good hands with your family. Blake you did great getting your dad home and the horse back. All is going to be fine. Love y'all😊❤
I’m really glad your injuries were not any worse. Blake you are a real trouper😊🇺🇸
So glad to hear that Alan is alright! And Blake was amazing! I’ve learned to never speak about how well a horse is doing until the end of a ride, they’ll get you every time!! Remember, it’s not how many times you fall off, it’s how many times you get back on. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
❤️
So glad to hear you all are home safe. Sorry that you got bucked off. Your son is amazing! Happy 4th. Peace.
Oh, no, I can hear in your breathing that you are hurt and in a lot of pain, Alan. I am so sorry this happened. Please don't say you are a baby. It was an accident and you got hurt. Nobody's fault and nobody looks at you as being a baby. When you said to Blake, Let's load up the horses," and his response was, "Please stay right there, Dad," was so heartwarming and spoke of his love for you that you'd be OK and he'd do the work brought tears to my eyes. I love you all and it's upsetting to see one of you hurt and in severe pain. I looked up broken scapula and it said those breaks are very uncommon and cause severe pain, so you definitely are not a baby. Blake, you have always been a remarkable young man in my eyes. I'm sorry this happened to you because it's scary when our parents get hurt, but you did everything right and he was lucky you were with him. Vicki, my lovely friend, I know this was extremely scary for you as well. Just the thought of our husbands/spouses in pain and getting hurt is very scary and stressful. You all take good care. I know you will take good care of Alan. You all rest easy.
Praise God you’re ok. You know better than anyone, that horses deserve respect. Poor cowboy, was obviously scared too. You’ve raised a very good young man ❤️
Ouch! Meeting the dirt that way is no fun! Don’t be embarrassed, anyone who sticks around horses will at some point kiss the ground. Glad it wasn’t worse! And glad Blake was able to find cowboy quick, our neighbors lost their horse up in the woods, took a whole month to find him after he bucked off his rider. May you have a swift recovery!
Allen , cowboy reacted just the way any young horse would with the saddle hanging off of his belly. It's a good thing he was easy to catch. Im' so glad you will be ok. You are one tough cowboy yourself.
So happy to hear you are ok. You have raised an amazing son. Bless you all.
Hope you’re rehabilitating well dude. Take it easy.
Blake is a Godsend. Hope your whole family is doing well through this trauma.
Thank goodness you're okay. Could have a lot worse. I hope you're not in too much pain. I'm new from Good Simple Living. Rawhide is an awesome horse! Stood by you Blake the whole time! It's like he knew exactly what you wanted. I think you two have a connection. 🤗🤗. I love what you do there. Thank you for your care and I'm sorry you got tossed. Take care and God bless.
God was watching over both Alan and Blake! Alan you have NO reason to be embarrassed. when a cinch breaks there is nothing to do but hit the ground!! You guys that are blessed with Blake, an amazing and caring son. Blake did everything right! Thank God for Blake and his horse Rawhide!! God Bless less your whole family !!!
You aren't a real cowboy until you've been bucked off. It's not a matter of "if", it's "when". I sure hope you heal up soon. It takes a bit longer, and seems to hurt more, as we get older..
You have an amazing son... And as far as how well Rawhide did, I think horses know when it's time to straighten up and fly right, and be perfectly behaved. When they become that level headed in a time of crisis... That's a keeper!
Healing prayers said for you.
I teared up too. So thankful you were not hurt worse. Your family and friends are awesome in caring for Blake too. Get well fast. God Bless!! You do have a nice nurse!!
I am so glad that you was not hurt worse. Sending Prayers for a speedy recovery. Blake you handle it very well! You are a awesome son, an awesome man!
Horse wrecks can be so intense. You both handled this like .. well the cowboys you are. 😊 heal fast. Glad it’s not worse. Truly blessed
Thanks so much
This can happen to anyone. There is always a risk like any other sport. Get Well soon.
Just what I was going to say...
Awww, I am truly sorry that you got injured. Thank heavens you have a great and responsible son like Blake who can really take charge in a situation like this. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
Alan, I will be praying for your speedy recovery. I really appreciated it when you and Blake both mentioned how you two continued to pray for help from above during your emergency. I, also, tell my family, and anybody who will listen, " Pray, it really works". I am so glad everything turned out well in the end. Love your channel.
Prayer does work ❤️
So glad that you will be ok. There is NOTHING to be embarrassed about. Blake did such a good job and he has a good head on his shoulders. Get some rest and praying for healing and a smooth recovery.
I see the love you have got your dad and it is wonderful and I praying for full recovery. Thank you for your example of love and great faith. ❤
Sorry for the circumstances. Hope you heal well and quickly. Well done Blake! A beautiful moment of togetherness ending in an amazing experience of people you can depend on. Best wishes to you all! Such a wonderful family! Appreciate you sharing the story.
I'm sorry you got hurt. I have always been told and I believe it to be true, if you ride horses it's not a matter of getting hurt or not, its a matter of when. You will get hurt. I have been there, on the ground and saying dang, I should have done this or that. I am 72 and so far, no broken bones. I love horses. Thank you for sharing and I am praying for your total and quick recovery.
There's no safe horse. Even the kindest, gentlest one can give you a surprise some time. No embarrassment needed!
Allen so glad you are not seriously hurt. Please take care.
Glad everyone is ok, you are a great young man and every cowboy gets bucked off once or twice nothing to be embarrassed about‼️😀😀😀😀
No baby you have been through hitting the ground. I understand because when I was 13 now 79 my saddle slipped and my foot was caught in the stirrup. Took her a few steps to stop. I had broken both arms. I have no lasting problems praise God. Get well fast. God bless you from Michigan ❤️
Thank goodness you're alright Allen. Good news to know you won't have surgery to look forwards to from what Blake said. All good riders have accidents. The cinch tore through and that was scary in itself. Please check all saddles and cinches from now on. I thought it could've been a snake out there that scared Cowboy. Glad you're alright Allen. Prayers to you and your family.
The ground is harder than it used to be ! What a blessing Blake is .
Don't be embarrassed...... we all get dumped. I was told your not a cowboy until you've been bucked off .
Thank you Jesus for his recovery.🕊🙏🙏🙏💕💕
Thankful that he's going to be ok. Only a cowboy would say go get the horse while he's in pain and not sure what's going on. Good job Blake. Praying for recovery.
I wish you a speedy recovery Alan. So glad it was not any worse. Heal up cowboy and get back in the saddle.
Any cowboy can be thrown. Ouch! That had to be some hard landing! Prayers that you heal up quickly and fully. Horses are amazing animals, and it is amazing what will set them off! God bless you and your family. You have a wonderful son!
Just happened across your vid and thank you for sharing. I'm glad your dad is okay. So nice to see a youngster enjoying family time with his dad instead of out doing bad things and showing your love and appreciation for horses. This was really refreshing.
Good Job Blake! Sounds like you handled things well young man, and got things done. Prayers for you, your dad, and your family. Stay strong!
So glad it all turned out well! You have much to be proud of in your Blake - he was awesome!!
Just discovered this wonderful horse channel. It is so good to see you all working these horses.

So glad you are ok Alan!! Get well soon!! You'll be out there riding your beautiful horses soon!!
So glad your ok! Blake, you are a great son, you did awesome. And always listen to your gut feeling and first instinct, cause usually its God telling you where you need to be.
Allen I am happy to hear your injury wasn't more serious. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. :)
What an amazing son! Wow so impressed with this young man.
Take care Allen, as we get older we do not bounce like we used to, so falls can hurt much more. Praying for your full recovery and God's blessings on you and your family.

I had a very similar fall in May of 2014.. however, I was stepped on and it ruptured my Splenic artery and lacerated my kidney. Had it not been for the paramedics who transported me to the Trauma Center not giving up, and resuscitating me multiple times in route, I would not be here today. Count your blessings. Most people do not realize how serious a fall from a horse can be.
So sorry about the horse wreck today. Sure glad it went as well as it did!! 🙏
