Love this. The explanations are clear, and it was at a great pace. I do want to say that there was emphasis on twisting each piece in the opposite direction to incorporate the hair but you actually twisted them in the same direction and then proceed to twist using the opposite direction. Just clarifying!

This video is like over a year old but I still want to thank you for making it! I’ve wanted to try yarn as a way to add color back in my hair. I had all blue hair but all the bleach just ruined my curls. I’m really excited to try this! Even if it’s just for a little pop of color underneath

I'm almost ready to try this on my daughter and I'm so excited but also nervous!! Thanks so much for this tutorial. It's the best one I've found by far! I thought of some questions. How long do you keep the yarn in? (just noticed below you said 4-6 weeks. My friend said she left them in for 4 months lol. What happens toward the end of the 4-6 weeks?) Also, I heard you say that you blow dried your hair and I've never done this on my 5 1/2 year old. Does this straighten the hair some to make it easier to work with? Any tips or specifics on how to blow dry the hair? My daughter has a really high volume of hair. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

ButterPecanLaudat at the root where I attach the yarn, I sorta turn and twist the first 5-7 times just to make sure the yarn it’s locked onto my hair. As I continue on town the twist, I’m just doing twisting. Good question!

cdropable Thank you! To be honest, I’ve never done this style with synthetic hair so I don’t actually know the answer to that question. I would assume that synthetic hair would be heavier since it would require more hair to get the amount of fullness that yarn naturally has. I hope this helps!

Yes, I use a suitcase to help me measure the strands so they’re close to the same length. You’ll be trimming off the excess at the ends of each twists... so it’s not necessary to have them all exactly straight in the beginning.

I do not understand in 2023 that people ask how to do something with CZcams, I don't get it. I haven't seen a hair salon in 8yrs which saved me a lot of coins, btw, your hair looks beautiful I'm on the color too.
