you are missing the most important point here which is GLP-1 + PYY. it modulates the output of the alpha and beta cells. maybe could also have an impact on the delta cells (speculation).
it downregulates glucagon which downregulates gluconeogenesis.
then diabesity goes away.
this can only be achieved with the right kind of fiber to feed the gut bacteria which then produce SCFAs which makes the l cells in the gut make produce GLP-1 + PYY.
what kind of fiber? ==> inulin + beta-glucan.
