  • In this video I harvest the pure silver crystal from two runs of my electrolytic silver cell. One run produced 1.7 kilos of pure silver. The second produced 1.5 kilos of pure silver. Combined, they produced a total of 3.2 kilos of investment grade, high purity, three nines plus, pure elemental silver metal. That’s over one hundred Troy ounces of high purity silver.

      Da Vinci was never an alchemist. Indeed he denounced Alchemy which is a false science. Alchemy relates to transformation of one element to another which is impossible for normal precious metals.
      Sreetips is just using simple chemistry to refine or concentrate existing metals, removing the impurities.
      Alchemy and refining chemistry should not be compared or even mentioned in the same sentence.

    This looks like such a satisfying way to stack silver. I'd probably be obsessed with finding the perfect box that could fit exactly 1 kilogram of crystals perfectly. Either that or smaller boxes that could each hold 20 troy ounces. Then I'd be compelled to buy more boxes than I could ever possibly need just to make sure that I'd never run out, even though that would be a good problem to have, just like running out of space in your safe.
    Knowing that you refined the silver in your stack yourself must be incredibly satisfying as well. I like my coin tubes full of American Silver Eagles and old French silver and gold coins, but you're stacking on a completely different level.
    Really cool, man.

    It's occured to me several times watching your videos that you could use some stainless steel sivs(SP?). There are various sizes that are sold in most housewares departments meant for grease splatter (covering skillets when frying). But YOU could repurpose them for pouring waste liquids through without loosing ANY solids......and they're cheap.

    • @uctynguzb
      @uctynguzb Před 9 měsíci +2

      sieves

    • @Alsacien
      @Alsacien Před 9 měsíci +1

      His rinsing method seems perfectly adequate. It would be hard to hold all that weight on one of those grease splatter shields and you would probably still have minuscule crystals (they're fragile and can break apart into very tiny fragments) that make it through the mesh. The loss would be minimal and symbolic of course, but every fragment of gold or silver that goes down the drain is a tragedy. ;)

    • @leelewis5730
      @leelewis5730 Před 9 měsíci +1

      Sieves....got it....thanks. On Amazon they're called "grease splatter guards". You could just lay it flat on top of the beaker you're pouring into and that would ensure that if a tragic "landslide" of solids were to happen when pouring off waste liquid it would prevent an awkward (and possibly dangerous) juggle AND/OR loosing precious solids into the waste container........maybe I'm just being obsessive but every time you pour off waste I grit my teeth getting ready for the inevitable disaster.....😜

    • @sreetips
      @sreetips  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I buy sterling silver flatware at estate sales. All the main estate sale people (those hired by heirs to sell their deceased loved-ones estate), they all know me. They know I buy silver. So they call me ahead of the scheduled date of the sale, if there’s a sterling flatware set for sale. I go and pay cash for the sterling silverware. I just bought a set last Thursday from an estate sale, got some gold too. I paid full price, 100% of spot for the gold and the silver. Why did I do that? Because the spot price for both gold and silver are grossly undervalued. But the seller uses the grossly undervalued spot price to determine their asking price. I don’t have to worry about trying to resell it to gain more “profit” in paper dollars, because I’m not selling any of my silver. I use the sterling to refine gold. I recover the silver from that process. Then I melt it into shot, run it through the silver cell, collect the pure silver crystal and put it away and forget about it. My intermediate goal is to accumulate one thousand pounds of silver. Save it for retirement. Silver is even more grossly undervalued than gold. Twenty to one, gold to silver ration, is the normal ration since biblical times. That puts silver up over a hundred bucks. They crush the price of the metals, with inflation (money printing). They kill the inflation hedge, with inflation. It’s brilliant. But it won’t go on forever. When that paper dollar finally fails (fiat has a one hundred percent failure rate) then the only asset class left standing will be gold and silver. How can this be? Because when Apple, Google, Amazon, the U.S. dollar, and all the real estate in the world are long gone and forgotten, crumbled to tiny gainers of sand, gold (and silver) will still be here. And they’ll both still be valuable. Get some!

    I have a question. Had 3 years of college chemistry, so I know what your doing. My question is why? Intellectual click bait maybe?? A prospector or scrapper just isn't going to a full wet process if they don't need to. We get it to 90%, we sell it as "coin silver". Get it over 92%, we sell it as Sterling. As my old boss used to say "That's close enough for a market this size" ;) For instance, I take silver ore, burn it, then grind it. Then I melt about 10 pound of lead and pour the grind into the lead. The Silver will mix with the lead. Then a few candle shavings will float the impurities to the top to be latteled off. Then zinc powder to collect the silver and float to the top. Spoon off and repeat till no more floats. Then pour the lead back into ingots and put the zinc/silver goo into a crucible and fire it. Zinc evaporates and leaves the silver. I'm out maybe a few lumps of coal for the furnace, maybe half a candle, and 75 cents for the zinc pennies. Just the Nitric here is $75 a liter. Most who watch you are prospectors or scrappers, so why????

      I’m not selling my silver, I’m buying. I use sterling silver to refine gold. Silver is a by-product of my gold refining. So I had a ton of impure silver laying around. I recover that silver and cement it on copper. Its purity, and therefore its value, are questionable. So I melt it into shot, run it through my silver cell, harvest the pure silver crystal, then put it away and forget about it. Pure silver is much easier to sell. And the crystal is damn near possible to fake. I’m not in this to gain paper dollars. I’m in it for the metals. I own and operate my own central bank. My bank is on the gold standard and has only one customer; me. My deposits are backed by gold, unlike all other banks, who back their dollar deposits, with more paper (treasury securities). I don’t own a shred of paper. Except what I need to pay bills or buy food. If I get paid in dollars, I promptly convert them to gold, and silver. I’m not in these metals for a big pop, although there’s a high likelihood of that happening, I’m in metals to protect my savings from the ravages of inflation due to the money printers. If I need a little extra paper, then I can always sell a little of my metal. Gold and silver are real money, since biblical times and before. Paper dollars are a money substitute and require third-party validation. Gold and silver stand in their own. Long after all other forms of money are gone and forgotten, gold and silver will still be here. And they will still be valuable. Hope this helps clear it up for you.

      I use about twenty gallons per month. It was $0.99 per gallon for the last decade, until about last year. Went to $1.19 but today it’s $1.39 and rising (won’t be coming back down either). Why? Is it the greedy merchant trying to gain more profit? Has it become more valuable? Is it harder to get? None of the above. What’s happened is the currency (US dollar) has lost that much purchasing power due to money printing. And that’s not going to get reversed. A good reason to store your wealth in gold and silver. They can’t print more metals. As for distilled water, other than having to tote it in, it’s easier for me to buy grocery store distilled water.

      @Greg1096 Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@sreetipsI had just figured that rising fuel costs would be the main reason distilled water is going up, water isn't light and it's hard telling how far they transport it to get it to the store, problem is that even if fuel prices go back down the price will stay higher once they know you're willing to pay more then it's just extra profit to them then

      No idea. I just bought a sterling flatware set at an estate sale on Saturday. I use the sterling to refine gold. Silver is a by-product of my gold refining. I recover the silver and run it through my silver cell. Then I put it away and forget about it. Gold refining is my hobby. So I don’t track expenses for each batch. Besides, when I buy sterling at sales like that, it’s not an expense. I’m trading paper dollars, that are declining in value and purchasing power, for silver, that’s rising in value. Food, gasoline, clothes, rent, those are all expenses and you’ll never see another nickel. Not so when “buying” precious metals. My goal is one thousand pounds of pure silver. For retirement. And to pass on to my kids. So I have no clue how much I spent. Because it really doesn’t matter. Unless I wanted to immediately resell the silver for a “profit”. And I ain’t selling any of my silver.

    I have a dumb question and please excuse it. Why aren't more people doing this instead of searching for 1960s half dollars. Obviously everyone doesn't have the knowledge or equipment but once you find out how doesn't this attract more people to it?

    • @sreetips
      @sreetips  Před 8 měsíci +1

      That’s not a dumb question. Here’s why: people are clueless about silver. They think it’s an investment. Silver is money, since biblical times, and before. Eventually, after the dollar is long gone and forgotten, silver will still be valuable. I’m up at 5am to go to an estate sale that starts at 8:30am. Why? So I can be first in line. Why? Because they are selling a sterling silver flatware set. And they use the grossly undervalued spot price to determine its sale price, plus a 10% discount! It’s a silver-buyers paradise out there. My goal is a thousand pounds of: SILVER!

      Along the same lines as this person's question, and it also may be a dumb question... but how is this not considered alchemy? When I look up SIlver Cells, I see people saying it's only for refining and you can't get out more than you out in. Is that accurate, or are you truly harvesting more silver OUT than you're putting in (as it appears)? Thank you!
