Chibueze has been in Hadestown since October 2021, He was apart of the original National Tour cast and started as worker/Orpheus u/s. June 2022 he became principal Orpheus, Dearly beloved by the fans of the show, He will be deeply missed. Can't wait to see what he will do next!

He was Orpheus the evening I saw Hadestown in NYC. I went in knowing nothing and haven't loved a show like this since seeing Next to Normal 15 years ago. Thank you for posting this. The original cast recording doesn't hit like the cast I saw that evening.
I saw it about two weeks ago in nyc planning to see Jordan fisher. I’ve seen the tour twice before already. I was sad Jordan was out but absolutely loved him in this role!!!! He was so good!!
I had the lovely privilege of seeing this show for the first time almost a year ago, back in November, and thus, I got to see Chibueze Ihuoma as Orpheus. I adore the Broadway cast album, and this video is lovely to listen to as well, but I'm telling you, nothing quite compares to when I heard this man live. I swear, when they were performing Epic I and he began to sing the melody at 4:25... my heart just about melted. It was so magical. He's so good!
Just saw him on Broadway with Lola Tung and he was INCREDIBLE. Just the absolute perfect voice and actor for this role. It felt like Orpheus was made for him. He and Lola were incredible together. I have a hard time thinking of anyone else in this role now, and that's no small feat for an understudy! He's going to have an amazing career.
He was my first Orpheus on the tour. Most emotional I've ever been in a show and that's saying so much. I remember being disappointed listening to the cast recording, even though they're all great too. It's just not quite the same...
Just saw Hadestown again but with a different cast. They were phenomenal, but this Orpheus is still my favorite! There's something about his sweet and innocent delivery that is endearing to me.
Thanks so much for posting these! I saw him in Massachusetts and he was a perfect Orpheus. I wish there was an album recording with this touring cast!

Thank you so much for uploading this!!! I saw Hadestown live back in January and I literally haven't been able to get this guy's voice out of my head since. Before seeing it live I used to listen to the cast recording all the time, but since I saw Ihuoma as Orpheus live, I just can't go back to the official recording anymore LOL 🤣Would love an official recording of him but I understand that's very unlikely, so thank you for making stuff like this available!!!
There are many recordings of him but I will not share them due to their rules, but I originally saw him in January too!!

I saw him on touring and on broadway with Isa Briones and he is by far my favorite Orpheus. He toes the line between the confidence Jordan Fisher’s version has and the softness that Reeve’s has so well. Him and Isa are far and away my favorite duo for this show. I wanted to see Jordan Fisher when I went, but I’m so glad I got to see him instead. He embodies the role so well.

i knew nothing about hadestown before i saw it in feb 2023 with chibueze as orpheus and hannah whitley as eurydice. met them after the show, absolutely amazing people and so talented. his voice is so unique, i'd kill for a studio recording with him as orpheus

I saw him in Cleveland ( he only did act I) but his Epic I was gorgeous and no shade I always skip Epic I on the cast recording but his was beautiful.

Same...skip every time but would kill for this rendition. Even 1.5 years later and seeing the new tour and new Broadway, I still can't get Chibueze Ihuoma's voice out of my head!

@@EastmanEditing it was SO good. We got the tour cast and I didn't even know about that until I saw them on stage. I have listened to all digital forms of this musical so many times but it just doesn't compare to seeing it live. Wish I would have gotten a closer seat but there were only a few rows with $50 tickets and that was all I could afford. Even from orchestra 2 it was still a phenomenonal show. Everybody sang and spoke wonderfully and the lighting was excellent. It was great to actually know what they look like in person and not on bootlegs where they look like glowsticks lol. Overall that show is something that deserves to be experienced in person. Everybody stood up during the encore and a lot of us including myself were singing with the song. Also their merch is really good and buying it at the merch concessions is cheaper than online so. Anyway definitely go see it if you ever get the chance
His voice is so beautiful in epic iii and if its true... but what happened in Wait For Me? His waits are very quick and hes just a tad pitchy, i wonder if it was an off moment? Hes stunning everywhere else
I’m so sad to hear he’s leaving the tour - he is maybe the best I’ve ever heard. I am so fortunate that I was able to see the show live while he was still Orpheus.
