This figure definitely should have came with a battle damaged head that looks like it did at the end of ep 6. Maybe a removable control console piece damaged after Obi Wan beat it in just so we can get something different from a figure that is just a mash of the ANH and ESB Vaders. Definitely a great figure and my personal favorite Darth Vader in the 1/12 scale but something extra like the alt helmet would have been great. Even if they just retooled the hips because I have 3 of the ESB Vaders and they all get loose hips very fast. I don’t own this but from what I’ve seen there is nothing much new and while I intend to buy it they should have added more.
Seriously considering making an opening in my ROTJ Vader with removable helmet to get that look, but I am still holding hope for an official release by Hasbro at some point.

@@Emeraldnite-if7vo I did this years ago after that rebels vader episode. Actually looks pretty cool and the head underneath matches up pretty well. Its obviously not hayden though
I love this version of the suit, and I love your format for these videos. Incredibly relaxing. If I ever reviewed things I would want it to be with this much class!
It would be fantastic if you made the throne that Vader uses in his fortress on Mustafar, also your reviews are very nice and complete.

Luke another great video ✋. Thanks for the review , I had heard this figure was mostly ANH Vader reuse so I shan't be getting it. My first black series Vader was the 40th anniversary A New Hope and I've also have Empire Strikes Back Vader. My next Vader will depend on if Hasbro can make a great 40th Anniversary Jedi with removable helmet. Your 3-D printed pieces look awesome 👍, hopefully I can afford a 3-D printer some day. Hey LL, just to help you out with Vader's lightsaber issue; I noticed that you have his lightsaber in his left hand (which is probably what you also tried to do with the ESB version), which is not actually the hand he's meant to hold the saber with because he's right handed.
On the ESB and Obi Wan Vader, his left hand is actually sculpted in a force choke pose, which makes his fingers get in the way of the lightsaber. It should be easier if you put his lightsaber in his right hand because it's sculpted for the lightsaber.

Actually I think this may be the same sculpt as the 40th anniversary Black Series Vader.
Unfortunately they did not. This figure is just the ANH Vader with the fabric strips on his chest tucked under the chest plate instead of laying over.
This is the same exact figure from 2017

I can't agree with you more. I'm not a fan of soft goods either. They never pose well. Great review. Love the rocks at the end. Nice display touch.

Great vids of all the figures. I had to splurge on a Mafex Rogue one Vader after seeing your ANH video. This Vader just does not cut it compared to the new obi wan.
It is a completely new helmet but then most of the reuse is from the ANH Vader and not the ESB one. Biggest give away is the chest box

@@desert_hunter83 Wouldn't say they're quite limited, they have a decent range, it's just that the ESB Vader has better articulation.
If you want to talk limited elbow range, look no further than the Archive Kenobi or 501st.
@@RaccoonVtuber true. I would buy Vader from Kenobi. The ESB is awesome. It would be cool with the ESB and the Kylo Ren figures. I'm waiting from Darth Malak figure coming. But I have a question: should I buy Nihilus Black series?

Does this have shoulder hinge like the Empire one? They're both totally different figures and everyone is trying to figure out if it's a reuse of ANH Vader or Empire, which are totally different in shoulder, helmet and elbow and chest
How close do the legs go together in the standing neutral pose?
My Vader's head is so tight it can hardly move especially compared to my RotJ Vader

And people will still buy this🤣 even though they already have it. The tvc one Ive seen is a must. I hope with the new “imperial stormtrooper” Hasbro is releasing I hope they fix the helmet sculpt or tweak it a bit. Most of them from tvc and bs are derpy looking

Man I have the Red Line and ESB Darth Vader. All I can say this is a repack of the Red Line series. I was tempted to get one but nah! Pass!
