We love your videos whenever you post them. There are other chateau channels that plaster, sand, paint and all over again. It does get a bit repetitive and we are tiring from them. However, you are working hard for your business and we are delighted that you are busy with bookings etc. It's such a change to see you having a full house! Don't forget the Dad jokes! I have been “picky” as to what CZcams channels I watch about Chateaus for some years.😂 I came across yours totally by chance - and I LOVE it.
I love how you present it, along with the delightful way you tell your story, and I cant wait to watch another update.
It is difficult to grow your channel when so many watch but do not like and subscribe.
I must confess I used to be most reluctant to like and subscribe ONLY because I didn’t understand how CZcams works.
I love the fact that by “liking” and “Subscribing” didn’t mean endless notifications on my screen - I can still choose to watch (or not) your site as the notification comes thru.

Dear All, you are a dedicated , hardworking, talented trio. You are doing a great job.
Perhaps this is what stands in my way has to do with my ability to actually hear you and that wearing a personal microphone might help for me anyway, so that your communications are really clear. Right now they are not.
You have plenty of conten. A suggestion I have that could be applied to your projects as welland lies in the editing.
My example: in the kitchen, we were told everything that would be served but we saw none of the actual prep. We didn’t even get a good look at the finished plate before it was sent through the doors to your guests. This is meant as constructive and is not a criticism. Have a wonderful and successful summer.

It’s great the business is coming along as you planned!! As you said, the time it takes doing these videos is intense. It is hard to keep the viewership up when you have to take long periods of time off (to run your business). There are also so many similar channels- but yours is a good one! Liked it from the start - lots of others just aren’t that great. It will be an uphill struggle for awhile- but as the viewership increases, the financial benefits seem to be a huge help with moving forward on these expensive projects...... just be consistent with the videos, they don’t all have to be big produced ones. Just a simple 5 minute update on how things are going how you are getting along and what you are working on...... we will be watching whatever you do👍🥂🇨🇦

I've really enjoyed getting to know you all through your videos. I can only imagine the huge effort it takes to produce and edit videos, and the time it takes you away from running the business. You have a definite charm so I hope you can continue to post, and that the channel will grow. It would be lovely to get enough subscribers so you could work a little less hard, but I hope you also stay open for stays, as I'd love to come and stay for a few days!

it will be sad to see less of you but will continue to support. There is a lot of competition from other DIY châteaux channels as there is also a lot of for hotel / guest venues. Concentrate on your business is priority as you’ve got to a great start, I’m sure you have other ideas to improve. As one commented maybe there is saturation for viewers to watch everyone doing more or less the same thing. We all have favorites, some I haven’t been able to stick to. But think of the future , about what you’ll put out on YT once the renovations are done !!! Maybe redo a barn 😂😂 🥰🥰🥰

My husband and I built a 3 story house on a very steep block and I wish I had taken more photos and videos when we did it. I look back on it now and have a great sense of accomplishment in what we achieved.
Oh what a shame you are very different in your approach to your vlog and work so hard.
You are not alone in not being able to attract the numbers to make it worth your time and energy.

The most subscribed chateau reno channels are the ones that bring their lives into their vlogs, real lives, while you, as a team, put truly delightful aspects of each persons personality into each vlog, it's just snippets that loosely connect the vlogs together, like afterthoughts, as a family.... I know nothing about any of you other than you share what seems to be a playful sense of humor.... that's all, as a family trying to put out a weekly vlog, I cannot begin to imagine how much time you've put into writing and rehearsing scripts, scenes, position within scenes, rehearsal after rehearsal setting up all the accoutrements for scene after scene.....all that time.... most channel participants have a good general idea/direction of what they want to accomplish/cover in their vlogs, grab gear and just.... go for it, life happens, personalities pop out organically and the next thing thing you know as a viewer, you care, not just about a beautiful old building but even more so about the people and pets sheltered therein 😏 this is actually very sad, I've come to care about you as a family, those brief joyful moments of levity and oopsies have been priceless and precious, I've stayed to watch this family's life grow as they renovate their home,.... 😞 unsure if I can vest time for just a room in an old house reveal, unsure if I want to..... Best wishes no matter, I know y'all r hard workin peeps with really fine minds!! Innovative creative talented, Jake, your personality shines thru as does your enthusiasm, u r the heart soul and glue annnd as an empath I add, the Voice Of Reason within this project, as an architect I've loved your method of non madness! Danielle, u r the fairy tale Tinkerbell of taking any old chair sette or bed frame and magically turn it into a Work Of Art, I've never seen better apolstery work!!!! You have such great videos! I don’t understand the lack of growth either. Maybe because you don’t share much when you’re super busy with guests during the season. It seems like the most subscribed to channels do a lot of everyday life & post more often. It’s nice as a viewer to feel like you know the characters pretty well. Renovations & everything else.
Totally know the challenge, making our CZcams videos takes sooo long, there have been times we've had to slow it down a bit to focus on the renovations or other projects. 15k is amazing though, that would be a dream for us! Best thing is you've done it all your own way and have not attempted to create an inauthentic copy of something only the French nobles could have created and (possibly) want! Originality is far more important.

Don’t know why some Chateau channels grows quicker than others but your work is superb and I enjoy the humor. Your channel is watched around the world but it appears to me you are marketing to UK people only.
If you have an international base of people who are watching then maybe you need to make your marketing more international and focus on something that makes you each unique as individuals. Is it your goal to have a British Chateau in France, maybe, maybe not ? Looking forward to whenever you post. All the best from Texas.
Not gonna lie - I will be sad to see a little bit less of you. It was (is) your authenticity as a family, your humour and your amazing progress in the chateau that has made you my favourite chateau channel. HOWEVER - I think you are making the right choice. You have to do whatever is most economical for you. And despite getting fewer videos in the future, I really respect that you are putting your priorities into your business, not some elusive CZcams fame. It is also clear to me that you are working super hard to give your guests the best possible experience while visiting. And that‘s where your priorities should be. Smart, smart, smart! Smartest channel move, ever! Focus on, the up and running. That will bring you success. Yes, way too many chateau DIY, & to be honest, pretty much the same ole' content. The fad may be diminishing! Followers, & patreons, all the way around with various channels! Serious, the options are, cut down another tree @ the burnt chateau, plant a tree @ every chateau, remove wallpaper, tiling, sweep cobwebs, set a table to match my tie, (patreons, who are still hoping for the lunch invitation) restore a chapel, plus recreate every molding with plaster molds, or paint the entire chateau with an artist brush gold! Additionally, DIY for all the out buildings, possible flips with abandoned possible drug remains, while searching out antiques for renters, let's not forget the peculiar convent Reno too! Plus, the retreats, where you sit around, drink too much wine, pretend to be an artist, author, wait for a rock to come tumbling down, youth groups, pizza night, plus the constant (complaining about their chateau power bill). You made the right move at the right time!! Best of LUCK! Your viewers will always remember your effort to believe in yourselves! I'm quitting all chateau anything as well! It's a good idea to get our lives back!

Having slept on it, I just want you to reconsider how you move forward with your channel. Our French chateau, is the channel that I’d put you alongside. They aren’t running a business though. But, they are animal lovers. Lots of humour and hard work. Their channel grew slowly but they are at 40,000 subscribers now. Jake, I know you love producing your content. Post any day of the week. Just do it your way. I was so annoyed yesterday. Time to rethink the channel’s direction again. ✊❤️

Darn, darn, darn!! I’m so sad I’ll be seeing less of you guys. I haven’t been watching the other château posts because they seem more talk less action than you guys. But I completely understand, especially after watching how much work it takes for you three when you have guests. I will keep looking for your posts because I think it’s a really great way to market the château and because every time I watch it, I want to come and stay with you!!
I’ll just keep checking my notifications for any updates and I’ll miss you. I still can’t wait to find out how everything‘s going to look when you’re finally finished.
Let me just say this. I think part of the issue is with CZcams. I am a subscriber and look daily for new videos posted. Yours is one of several in my list that didn’t show up as a new video. Not sure why this is happening but I am hopes that this situation will get fixed. So don’t give up. It’s honestly not your fault or viewers but CZcams itself. But understand your feelings and hope to see videos in the future.
If you do what a few other Chateau owners do, it may help. They will visit each other at their Chateau’s, such as Chateau Diaries will visit Escape to Rural France, Journey to the Château will visit Chateau Diaries, etc, etc. The visit is not long, maybe a day or overnight visit. I don’t believe it’s because there are so many now on YT, I have about ten I am watching now. I love your channel, don’t give up.
Please take this in the spirit it is intended.... You are lovely people, however it comes across as if you are a little uptight. People want to see the bare bones of your personality. I think what I'm trying to say, don't try to be so professional. You need to film in a more natural way....The way you would be if no one was filming....Candidly! We understand. And we will not go away. It does take hard work and a long time. I don’t know why your audience had not grown larger, faster - possibly because there are so many chateau projects now. Your decision seems obviously a thoughtful one. This kind of publicity, while a hard slog, is how to grow an audience and build your business, so I trust you will not entirely give up, and hope to see you as often as you feel up to it. So, not good bye, and, as Stephanie, at Lalande, says, A demain. And, if you have not been to visit her, I would encourage you to invest in a night or two there. Good things will come.

The larger channels are constantly posting almost everyday. Many though don't have guest and when they do will go back to posting once weekly. Their videos are usually less than 15 minutes a day. Your main goal is your business not youtube and you should focus on that since it seems to be going amazingly well for you.

Thought the group on the vlog rebuilding a chateau and convent were odd. Found out there history church thief’s, army desertion and jail time are not people you want to watch or recommend. I’ve just found your channel after watching you on chateau DIY. I’ve watched a fair amount of your recent videos but haven’t had time yet to go back to the beginning and confess I cheated by looking at the rooms on your website! Have enjoyed your videos so shame to hear this ‘announcement’. I think your channel would definitely take off if one of the other chateau vloggers gave you a plug or a feature as subscribers often sample other similar channels to their favourites. I watch a lot of chateau vlogs on CZcams, and the vlogs that are struggling to get an audience have invited Stephanie and Phillip from the Chateau dairies to visit there chateau, stay for a couple of days and introduce the struggling vloggers to their audience . And bang, next thing you know, your audience doubles, if not triples . You put out great vlogs, and I also love the Dad jokes . I also think that because you also stop vlogging through your busy season, it doesn't help you increase your audience. There's also lots of second-rate vlogs out there, and your vlog isn't one of them . Good luck with whatever you choose to do ❤
