  • This video will assist the contractor on how to calculate development length or what we call "anchorage of rebar on concrete" using NSCP provision or if it is not specified in the drawings.

    Good day sir napakathankful ko po at merong channel na kagaya niyo na nagshashare ng knowledge, confirm ko lang po sa 5:50 pano po naging 660mm yung computation, 507.85 po kasi nalabas saken baka po may namiss ako, again, maraming salamat po

    Good day Sir! God bless you for sharing your knowledge to everyone!
    on the video 10:38, I got a question, regarding on Development Length of hook (ldh), after applying the factor, the result is 436 mm, and the bend of 12db will start after consuming the (ldh). What if, the given columnn dimension is 300x300 or less, how we will solve it? thank you sir!

    • @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633
      @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633  Před 2 lety +1

      12db bend would be enough to sustain development length, we will only use that 436mm if there is sufficient room. Thanks

      12:12 Halimbawa 400 lang Kaya sa ldh pwede ba idagdag Yung 36 sa 12db? Ganun Kasi dun tutorial sa pinoy construction channel

    Sir magandang araw po muli.. possible po ba na straight anchorage na lang po.yun gamitin ko. Column size size is 250X450
    Yun beam po ay 200X400. Yun 450 mm po ay nakaparallel sa beam. Size po ng rebar ay 16mm thanks po

    • @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633
      @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Rebars should be bended at ends, that is requirement by code. 12bar dia. for 90deg. bend

    what if po kapag less than 50mm yung cover? imumultiply pa po ba sa .80 yung development length?

  • @allyce06
    @allyce06 Před 2 lety

    Pareho Lang ba Yung
    ANCHORAGE length,
    EMBEDMENT Length at
    DEVELOPMENT length? Nalilito Lang Kasi ako sa tables Ng structural notes Kung tinutukoy ba nila total na ng ldh+12db o ldh lang

    • @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633
      @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633  Před 2 lety

      System yan, you need to compute each, then add them together. Yung 12db (for L-shape) minimum requirement only, that should be adjusted if straight room is not enough to sustain the requirement. I hope that helps, thanks

    Questions po Sir.
    1. Anong specific section po ito sa NSCP 'yung reference nyo po? I just want to explore lang po especially 'yung parameters.
    2. How can we sure po na hindi mahuhugot yung ganung embedment pero wala pong naintroduce na kahit anong tensile force po sa equation? Just an assumption of friction force of steel/concrete and a bearing of concrete lang po ba?

    • @clutchplays4116

      ACI po Sir I mean.

      @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633  Před 2 lety +1

      It is from NSCP try section 425-"Development Reinforcement", can't remember exactly. I suggest look for the latest version the one I used might not be updated.
      I believed this formula was derived from their actual test not much of the theory, we call it as empirical formula. I trusted them. Thanks

      Using 20mm considering those conditions nakukuha ko 660. Anyway paki check nalang thanks

      @napmendoza1968 Před 2 lety +1

      kapag ginamit mo ang modification factor sa casting position ay 1.3 ang makukuhang result ay 660. pag 1.0 lay 507 or ~508. paki-check din baka nalito na rin ako. thanks

    • @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633
      @jsdesign_engineeringtv3633  Před rokem

      I have no idea kung saan maka kuha, maraming types ang formwork, old system we use are made of plywood and dimensional lumber, other use steel pipe instead of lumber depende sa preference mo.
      But you need to consider the ffg: vertical support height, thickness of slab, spacing of joist, and most important "wet" concrete mixed plus liveload during pouring. Thanks
