    sir, yung compression result ng development length sa segment 5:30. base sa computation dapat 350, 435, 545, 612 yung 16, 20, 25, 28mm dia, respectively.

    Ang galing mo talaga sir. Imagine sayo ko lang nalaman yung mga kinocompute ko sa RCD na pilit ko iniisip kung ano ba sya sa actual during college. Sana makapag actual na rin ako align sa construction dahil medyo nalulusaw na inaral ko nuon pero big help to sa mga students na magtetake ng board dahil mas maiimagine nila kung ano ba sa actual.

    Idol clarification lang, di ba sa may support ang top bar ng beam ay tension, so ang development length using a 16 mm diameter bar na i apply is 520mm at sa bottom bar naman sa may support pa rin which is compression considering 16 mm diameter ay 300mm yung maging LD, tama po ba idol?

    Lap length is enough but in the wrong zone because of commercial length availability. For example, in the column, the correct zone for splicing is in the middle because the moment is minimum as we all know that, but the steel extends up to the upper L/4 zone, Is it mandatory to cut the extended length up to the middle zone just to comply with the code or leave as it is and just increase the lap length? Say instead of 50db then make it 60db or more to override the wrong zone requirement? In my engineering judgment, cutting the bar to the middle zone just to comply with the code doesn't make sense instead it is better to increase the lap length so that no bar will be cut. I know that it is a waste of rebar but the same thing when you cut the rebar it is also a waste/scrap anyway. My question is the 50db enough in the wrong zone?

    Hello sir and to engineers here, hingi lang po ako advice. Architect po ako pero ako ang in-charge of construction ako yung nag-bibuild sa 2 storey residential design ko pero bagito pa. Pinapaimplement ko po ay etong seismic hook, kaso yung senior engineer ko ang iniimplement ay yung 90 degrees. Ang reason nya po ay abala po sa pag susuksok ng main bars, lalo nagmamadali na rin po sa timetable. Ano po ba ang definitive proof na dapat seismic hooks na ang dapat gamitn. Baka naman nga po pwede na yun 90 degrees e mapahiya lang ako sa client kung ipipilit ko eto seismic hooks. Salamat!

      Majority nagsasabi na istorbo lng at mahirap magsuksok ng bakal dahil hindi sila sanay na maglagay ng 135 degrees bend na hook, pero kung gagawin nila masasanay din yang mga yan, at isa pa two storey lng naman kaya hindi ganun kadami bakal niya compare sa mga high rise na malalaki at marami ang bakal pero naiimplement naman nila ang 135 degrees bend.

      Ang maximum area na pwedeng i ocupy ng isang tubo sa Column ay 4% of The cross sectional area ng colum ibig sabihin para masunod yang condition na yan mangangailangan ka ng mas malaking Column, but it will add cost.

      sa Footing pwede Idol, BUT hindi nman required na maglagay ng Hook as long as a straight bar can develop full strength. Ibig kong sabihin try to compute using the Formula na nabanggit ko sa isa kong video about development lenght and Seismic hook, and then compare mo dun sa actual na haba ng footing measure from the face of column and you will find out na mas mahaba yung actual compare to the required and computed development length.

      Pwede naman, pero karamihan sa nagawa ko ng Desing mas makakatipid ka kapag gumamit ka ng 16mm instead of 12mm sa bilng ng bakal kasi nagkakatalo kung minsan.
