  • Contrary to popular thought, organizations should look for humility in a leader rather than charisma. A humble leader channels energy into the improvement of an organization, whereas charismatic leaders leave a trail of chaos and ruin.

Follow Christ, people see Him in you, they come to you to get it. You want charisma, follow the One you cant get enough of. I didn't even have to pay for someone to teach me that! lol Im not being critical, just saying what I'm thinking.

Following Christ is the best advice you can give someone for their own salvation, but remember that God said that if you follow me the world will hate you. I am certain that a truly Christian leader/CEO would be hated by his company and eventually fired because the world is wicked and selfish. The average person could not accept a life of a person who truly followed Christ.

It's time to do away with prescriptive theories of leadership. Although Hogan has many valid points about leadership he's being prescriptive, neglecting the social and cultural context of leadership.

I don't see how he's being prescriptive. He's noting the outcomes the research has produced so far. That seems descriptive, if anything.
