    Shimmery loose eyeshadows that come on sheer can be added to moisturizers and used on your body as shimmer lotions... or add them to clear lip glosses to add color. Blushes can be crushed up and mixed with lip balm and turned into lip products.

    For blush, reapplying helps. They usually fade before other products like bronzer, yet we don’t think about reapplying. If you are checking up and reapplying lips or powder look if you need more blush

    I also have a dewy sunscreen I'm trying to use up and lately, I have been mixing a matte primer in with the sunscreen to make it look less greasy.. that way I don't have to use so much powder to tone it down and it feels lighter on my skin that way.. another tip for using up lipstick is to use it as a cream blush.. that would be a great way for you to use up your wet n wild lipsticks..

    • @SarahRoseBeauty
      @SarahRoseBeauty  Před 5 lety +1

    I always use face creams/serums that I don't want to put on my face (too old or just because I don't like to disrupt my regular face routine), I use it on my neck/decollete. This is what I do with 95% of the samples I get, because I am really picky about what I put on my actual face!

      Sarah Rose you mentioned the back of our hands show first signs of aging but same with your neck hun. Whatever you apply to your face (moisturizer, spf, oil etc), bring it down your neck also. Treat your neck like part of your face :)

  • @BubblegumFetish
    @BubblegumFetish Před 5 lety +24

    One way to use up lip oils or balms up, if you don't enjoy them, is to use them as nail cuticle oil :) Have done that quite many times. Also, some balms are really good, when you for example have stuffy nose and you have been blowing your nose frequently, to rub it on there to soften the area :)

    • @BubblegumFetish
      @BubblegumFetish Před 5 lety +1

      Oh, and also nailpolishes. Sometimes they work so that if you reapply a polish on a polish you already have on, then you can take off both polishes at once, acts like a polish remover, but only if the top layer is still wet :)

    • @SarahRoseBeauty

    I really like the idea of using blush as eyeshadow. But i wanted to add that bronzer makes a really nice transition shade as well. I had a sample bronzer that i used as an eyeshadow after i couldnt get my bronzer brush to pick up any more product.

    • @SarahRoseBeauty
      @SarahRoseBeauty  Před 4 lety

      That’s a great point! I haven’t panned a bronzer in a while but I will keep that in mind if I ever do!

  • @keriht
    @keriht Před 4 lety +5

    also for light colored eyeshadows, like white mattes or ivory shades, i use them mixed with my blush color if it's too strong on my cheeks on its own, or i mix them with dark eyeshadows like burgundy colors, browns, greys and blacks etc. i tap the brush once on the color i want to use, then on the white/ivory shadow, then again on the color and it gets mixed. i do it like four or five times to get the color to show up nicely but kind of blurred in a way. even if the blush color is shimmery and i mix it with a matte eyeshadow it doesn't take away the shimmers in it. i think using translucent powder or an ivory colored powder would work the same, but since i'm more concerned with panning eyeshadows i find this method really helps. :)

    @IllyDragonfly Před 4 lety +4

    I pan very easily lip care and skincare because I'm stubborn and never change my routine for at least one-two months so I can see if the products did something. I'm slowly trying to pan some mini lipsticks, an eyebrow pencil, a lip crayon and a lip pencil, but it's hard to pan makeup, especially when you have a lot of variety in color and finish! I'm almost panning a lovely plum lip pencil, wish me luck. 0.o
    Eyeshadows can become lipsticks if you have a stick clear lipgloss and rub your finger in the pan and then on the lips. I get nice weird metal lipsticks like this. Also lip pencils of colors you don't like can be used as nice eye pencils, like a bright orange which washed me out, now it's an eyepencil. :)
    I'm using my scratch/ruined makeup brushes and goopy or crappy nail polishes to paint my DIY projects, they are pretty good, same for the makeup wedge sponges. And the perfumes which don't fit my skin at all are perfect for the potpourri, my rooms smell so nicely. XD
    And I started preferring smaller pans for my blushes/contour/highlighter so I get eyeshadows instead, so I can use them up faster. My mother and I never wear foundation but we like blush and highlighter, and I feel makeup shows very easily and lasts long on a bare face.

    • @SarahRoseBeauty
      @SarahRoseBeauty  Před 4 lety +1

      I am the same with skincare, I almost always use those items up! Lip products are much harder for me though - good luck with your lip pencil!! One tip I have found with those is to fill in your lips completely instead of just lining them -- you might already do this but it makes those pencils go a lot quicker! I am with you on wanting smaller pans/mini products. I wish every product came in a mini size!

    • @IllyDragonfly
      @IllyDragonfly Před 4 lety

      @@SarahRoseBeauty I'm totally doing it. It helps a lot since I love creamier formulas in my lip pencils (so they don't do crumbles) I used my lovely purple plum lip pencil today (it's called Witch XD) and I can see it getting smaller and smaller, I'm so proud! Next will be two dark pinks/puples lip pencils and a Winky Lux nude mini lipstick. :)

    great video and great ideas in the comments also. Skincare is very easy to pan but if I have moisturisers which are not favourites I will rub them all over my face to help melt off my makeup at the end of the day. I will also use them as body lotions. I also love mixing a mattifying primer with sunscreen for my face or body to make it less greasy. I'll use perfumes that arent favourites as room spray. Someone in the comments said mixing an eyeshadow with your blush to tie in with your look or to make it more shimmery and I might try that to get more use out of blushes that are too warm toned for me.

    For your blush you can actually put a good amount of blush on your face and bronzer then put on your foundation. Then apply your blush again and bronzer and this will make the makeup last longer and using it up little quicker.

    You could also use a lip balm or lip oil on your cuticles

    I go through black pencils very easily, because I wear thick glasses, my eyes tend to get lost so often I will take a black eye pencil and smudge it from the outer v to the center...so it fades, then I take a lighter cream shadow for the inner third and blend the whole shebang. Makes it look like an ombre effect and bam! I have eyes again! lol

      That's so smart! I love using different colors on the inner and outer half of the lower lashline. I always forget to use my black pencil so maybe I should try it that way!

    What’s your favorite blush to wear on no makeup days?

      I've been using the Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques blush in Sweet Sixteen on my no makeup days lately but that's because it's the one I'm trying to pan! I think any light pink blush or whatever color mimics your natural cheek color works great :)

    My grandma will use lip balm that’s near the end on her dry heels and elbows

    Does anyone have any ideas for using a powder foundation that is too light for my face? 😭 Ah the tribulations of online shopping.😭

      You could use it as an eyeshadow or browbone highlight, to set your eye primer, or mix it with eyeshadows and cheek products that are too dark to make them more blendable! Just a few ideas!

      @@SarahRoseBeauty thank you! I hadn't thought of using it on the eye!
