I enjoyed and learned from the way you navigated the moments when the client gives an example and probably digresses from the goal

I appreciate the guidance on getting crystal clear on the agreement, and what to do when the client goes off on what seems like tangents! Thank you.

Wow this is incredible! There is so much here to chew on! Actually, I came to your video looking for one thing and finding another! I was actually initially looking for the answer to this question, "How can we clarify the process of coaching and how coaching differs from other helping professions?" during a first discovery call? Of late, I have been getting more clients who want me to 'train them' or 'give them answers' so I want to be clear in the first session what coaching is and is not. In your experience, when you have encountered this, what has been the best way you have tackled it? Thanks!

How do you apply this contracting in a team coaching scenario? Typically the team leader sets the agenda and the agreement.

Great question! Definitely something a team leader can try-- changing the power balance in the relationship is key.
