Driving RWD 101... If you're gonna countersteer, dont lift. If your gonna lift, don't countersteer (move as far as centre only 👍, as Lifting while counterstering, is a technique that drifters use to change direction from one corner to the next. To a track driver, this is called a tank slapper.)
(Disclaimer: At least until you know your vehicle 100%. Disclaimer 2: you only know your vehicle 100%, after you've pinged a wall or two! 😅)
Glad to hear that you were OK after this dude! Hope you get/got it fixed up and get back to pinning down that experience... Rather than pinging those walls 🤭. Much love. To both you, and those miata's, MX5's Eunos Roadsters... Depending on where your from.
Little tips to listen to and observe dude (and im glad you posted the slow-mo, so I can help with this a little bit easier!)
At 0:49s, you enter the corner having just hit the inside rumble strip while on throttle (weight and grip moved to the rear). This causes over rotation due to the sudden unloading of the rear end grip.
Up to 0:53s, you handled this pretty well. Counter-steered well and stayed on the throttle. But, at 0:54s you can hear the tyres squeel, (your first 'non-G force' clue) at 0:55s the engine revs raise. Somewhere between 0:54 and 0:55 was your spot to lift a little (not fully, just enough to slow rear wheel slip), without further counter-steer. Had you done this, right here, you'd have held it bro.
The error here was due to the over counter-steer, magnified by your full lift off of throttle at 0:56-0:57. That full cut in throttle input is what gave you that slingshot into the wall.
In short (TLDR, I guess these days,lol)...
It seems that you heard the tyre squeal before you felt the tyres letting go (feeling before hearing will come with experience mate, so don't get down on that. Prempting what is about to happen before even hearing or feeling it, comes with yet more experience still).
So you seem to have counter-steered due to the sound, which you reacted to nice and quickly, but did also over-react. What you also done though, was react quickly with your foot too. This shifted weight off of your over-rotating rear wheels (already struggling for grip) leaving them with even less grip to maintain their (at the time, current) directional push. Lifting completely off throttle, causing lessened grip, is what made the rear want to travel faster than the front. Combined with the over-reaction in counter steering, caused your tank slapper into the wall. If you had maintained the angle of steering which caught the car on your first (well executed) attempt to control the car, but lifted only slightly when the rear wheels 'spun up', you have kept this on the track. Or if you had less counter steering input when you lifted off completely, you would have kept this on track. Or at least have had a massively increased chance of doing so.
When you look back to the slow-mo footage, listen to that very short but sudden break in the engine note. That was your main error here buddy. The fear of crashing, caused your crash.
You done pretty good for a beginner otherwise man.
Main points to take away. Dont force a RWD to go in any direction with the steering wheel. Use the wheel yo ask it to take that direction, then control how much it does that with the throttle, only making adjustments with the wheel when the throttle alone wont cut it. (This is easier said than done, and again need experience).
I hope that you don't take this feedback negatively (I trust that you posting the slow-mo footage, was an invite for critique so that you can improve yourself?), I say all this only to help you analyse the incident. It comes from a well experienced driver (yes, only meself. But you could say that I have more than decent experience), who has made these mistakes previously, a long time ago and learned from them. I hope that this is taken in a spirit of an old guy helping a young guy learn quicker. Without the need to bin it into a wall a couple of more times before figuring out what went wrong. 😉
Watch back your slow-mo and read my commentary, paying good attention to the time stamps.
I'd also recommend plauing the vid at 0.25% speed, as not only will you be able to better track the points ive made, but you will also see the weight-shift of the vehicle and notice how quickly it starts to happen. Even at 0.25% video speed, the weight shift from front to back is almost instant upon the change in engine sound. It is this instantaneous weight shift, that only personal experience can teach you to preempt.
I hope it helps and isnt taken in any kind of hostile way buddy, i found an invitation in your slo-mo footage. It seemed open and honest, so i wanted to give some open, honest, and frank advice in return 👍💪🫡

Thanks man, just trying to help a dude out (any anyone else interested, that takes the time to read).
I've made such mistakes myself in the past and the best advice I got at that time, was from a more experienced driver helping me analyse where I went wrong. The video here, including the slow-mo footage is a massive help to others, so thanks to the OP for that!
After the advice I got, the next time I got myself into the same situation I resisted the urge to lift off, gritted my teeth and hoped for the best. Worked out good and I was left in disbelief at how the car held and how much steering could be done with the throttle alone. The experience and confidence I gained after that was ten-fold.
Thanks for taking the time to read dude 👍

Seems to me like you corrected the oversteer well but then you returned the wheel too quickly and induced another oversteer right away. I had a similar incident few years ago.
