This was their first performance at the Brits and they were also dancing their asses off. I’d say this is a good performance, but if you’re looking for perfection, it’s their 2019 performance.
Leigh-Anne just released her second solo single and I suspect there’s gonna be some live performances coming soon for that, I’d love to see you analyse her performances when they do. She’s developed such a gorgeous tone to her voice imo as she’s matured too. 💖

Please we need more Little Mix!! They usually lip sync to choruses because they're dancing all the time, but it's just that. The rest of the songs are usually live all the time💜

I personally really like a good compromise between singing and dancing, and I don't mind at all some playback on certain parts. BTW Beyoncé also uses pre-recorded vocals on certain parts and she does it REALLY well!
Why do you guys always request that he listens to their worst performances? 😭 they’re so good and every time I see you watch them it’s a shaky performance at best. Secret love song is a good one and nobody ever asks for it 😭

@@gorgeyhun2867 Yes and falling was pitchy the whole way through. The compilation of their “best vocals” was certainly not their best. It would cut off right when someone was going to hit a high note. People keep requesting bad performances. Just because they’re doing lots of harmonies and are moving quickly through their range doesn’t mean it’s good. And Little mix is too good for him to listen to these performances 😭
@@Antibeautyguru 💀💀 that isn't true at all lol. this cover was one of their best vocally. and while there's a few vocals that aren't great in the best vocals compilation most of it is actually pretty solid. except from the secret love song performance from the search I don't see what else that is so much better should have been included
@@gorgeyhun2867 The problem is their vocals are not “pretty good” they are phenomenal vocalists and have not been portrayed as such in the videos he has watched. That’s the point. Disagree all you want but his reactions speak for themselves as he has not been overly impressed and has critiqued their pitch quite a bit on his reactions of them which is usually not an issue for Little Mix. People have not requested good performances as far as I personally am concerned and that’s why I voiced my opinion. You don’t have to agree but I don’t get why you’re fighting me on this like I haven’t seen all the videos he’s watched and as if I also haven’t watched over 100 videos of them performing live.
@@Antibeautyguru again not true. the compilation video gives a pretty accurate image of their level and he actually seemed impressed when he reacted to it. they're great vocalists but not always on pitch. but the only time he's talked about one of them being pitchy is in this video (you really need to stop lying lol). again their falling cover is one of their best if not their best cover. the only performance I can think of that's better is sls from the search. but that's about it. so yea I don't know what you're watching or listening to but you're so wrong lmao

Interesting comparison to T Swift (whose concert tee I'm totally wearing rn lol) with respect to live vocals and harmonies. That's something I wouldn't have considered. Black Magic is such a fun song and I can totally see the value in just switching to the recording for the chorus to make sure those harmonies are crisp and clear and balanced. I was dancing haha.

Sam please, i really really need it, i‘ve waited so long to ask you for this one and now I’m asking: Please react to Ren and Chinchilla with their live misic video to the song „chalked outlines“ or „how to be me“ Alternatively you could react to the live music videos „hi Ren“, „the tale of Jenny and Screech“ (in 3 parts) or „for Joe“ by Ren or „fingers“ by Chinchilla, if you prefer solo. They are both independent artists that do everything themselves, from writing to producing to playing instruments and singing, and both do this amazing kind of music video that is one take of a completely planned live performance. They are also very intelligent, empathetic, humble and just good people who write songs with really deep meaning, with words that feel like it’s their soul talking to yours when listening. I really think you would like them, and especially Ren is very grateful and happy for people reacting to his music and genuinely likes watching them.

Hi Sam! Could you please check out a Kep1er performance? If you have time, I'd love you to analyse kep1er's "Giddy" Band LIVE concert performance on its live! Theyve been around for about a year and a half but their contract is already almost up. 😭 I'd love to get some vocal anaylsis. Some of them have developed a lot recently. They range from huge amounts of vocal training to self taught singers.

It was little annoying how he acted like this performance is their like their vocal standard or some defining moment in their live performances or like if he watched hundreds of performances by them and knew their voices from right and left when it's clearly not true. This was one of their vocally weakest performances because they were moving around a lot. Backing Track or even lip-synced chorus in those type of songs is ok because there isn't a chance to keep tight 4-piece harmonies while heavily dancing and moving around. When these ladies go acoustic or acepella they completely slay with their vocals and harmonies.
I think going to absolute detail and rank skills of a singer by just 1 performance is stupid. It's just one performance and everyone has off days when pitch isn't perfect.
Thanks for watching! I am not shy in admitting I don't know their voices well, think it's fine to sing with backing tracks, and know they are very talented. Bummer that didn't show through!
it seems like you didn't really watch the video because he mentioned multiple times that they're dancing and he said he has nothing against backing tracks and he never said he knows their voices well or that this performance is their standard and he didn't rank any of their skill levels...so you actually made all of that up

Do you think that Leigh-Ann, the one who sings, "get your boy on his knees and repeat after me and say," might be having a hard time singing that low in her register? Those low notes can be tricky if they are not firmly within one's comfort zone and one may have a hard time landing on the note. However, once she slides up to her middle chest register, she's able to detect where her voice is in the music.
@@SamJohnsonVoiceyou took that comment on the chin like a champ. I’ll admit if this was the first vid of yours, I’d seen I’d feel largely the same way, but I know you’ve covered our girls before and always offer a really fair and mostly unbiased critique of what you hear!
They are absolutely right in that, this is not their best performance by a mile, in fact not even really up to LM’s normal standards *for choreo-heavy songs*. I think if someone sent this performance in, in particular, and it wasn’t your choice, it was probably chosen for it being an iconic moment/milestone for the group.
There is an acoustic performance of this same song that really shows you what all 4 members can do with their bare voices, with quite dry mics too! I know this channel is big now and you def don’t take random requests, but I’ll still personally attest to that performance regardless, or countless others if you’re interested in Little Mix further🤘🤘

No they don’t
they sing live in some parts but often their choruses are lipped. I've seen them live a few times but I've never heard them sing the chorus of Touch live.
Most of their performances are live, but there is always a chorus track. Sometimes they do sing under it as well, or there’s an adlib that they do over it that’s live, but 90% of the time they lip it.
And that’s okay, harmonies are worse to mess up live than solo lines, because you all have to be 100% in sync. It’s significantly harder and we know they can sing well enough to do those harmonies when not dancing, so they don’t need to do it to the choreo just to prove themselves.
You really should react to Ren and/or Chinchilla doing their live music videos, you would like it a lot i guess.
