Thank you for the review. Of all the issues you pointed out, the different size of promo image and actual size disappointed me the most

Good review. AFAIK: The manufacturer is TOPTON & this model is called the "P8". I bought the earlier 7 inch version (the "L4").
Curious to learn more about the pen. Mine didn't have that option & my touchscreen is fighting every pen I try. Your model is advertised on Aliexpress as MPP supported but most early reviewers found they couldn't get it to work.
They are funky lil' devices that are so inexpensive for being mostly metal etc, I can roll w/the faults. I've only changed my nvme but I plan to mod mine since we don't have a warranty/support to void, lol.

It's an OEM product sold under a bunch of different brands. Unsure who is the OEM. I went with crelander because they've been featured on other big tech channels so I could trust they'd actually send the device.
Realistically I think these sellers are taking a generic device manufacturered by an OEM and not applying any customization to it. If they had some care they could've found a way to make the speakers sound more full (foam inserts maybe?) and chosen a better display panel. The big bummer was the left space key not working right.
Despite the color accuracy being poor, the touch screen and pen input were more than acceptable. Unfortunately I don't have any other MPP pen, my other laptop is Wacom and they're completely not compatible.
You're right about the build quality. It's super beefy. I could use it as a weapon. 😂

U're talking about the pen that comes with it, right? Is that pen MPP? And lastly, can u open it completely flat (keyboard & screen facing up, like a thinkpad) or does it wobble? Thx.

Ouch, for that price I'd rather the Chuwi Minibook X N100 at 10.5 inches. No keyboard compromises and slightly bigger battery. I've got the 13.5" version and it's been solid so far running Linux and FreeBSD.

The minibook x looks like a superior machine in almost every way.

I bought and used it for a year. Nothing bad but the coupling between the screen and the body. Its not strong enough with time. After 3 months using it, the coupling broke. And I have to fix it with steel plate.
For more imformation, I like it alot. I am a trade marketing. I use it for 3 hours per day, bring P8 with me when I have market visit trips. This laptop is my highly RECOMMEND for anyone need a laplop with a good CPU and have to travel alot.

thanks! i was considering, but was worried about the screen hinge and you have verified it, and also pointed out the keyboard. never been a fan of that type of screen swivel (for aesthetic reasons). I guess I'll be considering chuwi's 8 inch instead, despite having fewer ports (which is the win for this).

I own this device and I am happy with it. However, I just scanned the device and did not reinstall windows. I think some of your problems originated in that. Speakers and keyboard on such a small device are compromises. That’s true, but not especially bad with this device.

Nice review! It would have been helpful before I bought mine.
Just a note that while this thing can run Linux, it will give a blank screen on boot (including booting installation media), closing the lid and opening it again fixes it, but you have to do it each time.

I've been interested with this device, but the company is a bit sketchy. Drivers could be a problem in the future. Also replacement parts like battery or LCD.

It’s got to be a SATA M.2 SSD with that speed.
