I'd give some time to XBOX players to adapt playing against PC players. They are facing a more competitive environment and they might improve a lot in the following months.
Also, beasty is not just Conq3, he is like Magnus Carlsen of Aoe4.
Pc is just more efficient . 2 people with same skill fight eachother pc would win

I think its great that strategie games finally get more accesiable and playable on controller. I still prefer mouse and keyboard obviously but i was suprised how well the controller works when i tried it. Really fun, especially for laid back sessions against friends or campaign. I wonder how well a really good controller player would be if he switched to mouse. They got the build order and tactics down so it should only be about adjusting to a different input

why does the controller guy place his storehouse next to tc. he did this in the first clip and also in the first game against qt. is there some reasoning i am missing other than it might be safer?
You should have him play against a Conq 3 player (non-pro) on keyboard/mouse. From what I've seen their is a difference between Conq 3 and pro players. It would be cool to see how those would play out.
What about whamen , i think keyboards are a huge advantage.

I used to play a lot on Xbox (not so much on PC), and sometimes I played against Flammebody (I believe he changed his nickname somehow). He beat the hell out of me everytime, and his Abbasid is actually unbeatable. We chatted a bit about how Rus could ever beat Abba and he went "I really don't know" hahaha.

Ya, I can't even beat PC player on their second game, but I win 80% against console. I really don't see how console will be able to come even close in Ranked play. I predict there will have to be some handicap developed or the console player base will never solidify.
God beasty needs a handicap like 1v3 and only using one hand 😅
pc players have hotkeys for everything and a few still complaining they don't have auto villagers option like on xbox
In lower leagues where people idle TCs automacro is very strong.
@@stysner4580 well if i could hotkey my units i would also be stronger, but for ex: if i put archers on group 1 only the active ones will stay there, that's why you probably gonna see some xbox players go all in when attacking or defending , only high lvl ones will be able to get way with surrounding.
i use keyboard and mouse on xbox so i dont get to use auto villager. Too bad, that would be OP lol
@@cristianoforever My point was that perfect TC usage, especially after the midgame, is often seen in conqueror+, even they miss vills in hectic fights. Micro is very taxing as well, so in lower leagues where people can't micro that well and mess up their macro, having a bigger army and never missing a vill is far superior to anything else in the game. I'd think that from diamond onwards kb/mouse players really start dominating controller players.
Agreed. Auto vils is nothing compared to hot keys and the ability to click anyway on the map instantly. The x box players need to click two buttons and scroll to get across the mini map 😂

Keyboard shortcuts now non-existent. Groupings and screen controls as well. Heck I'd even say moving the screen is harder with mouse only than with keyboard.
So the game one comments of beasty also playing with just controller and the mouse only one got my votes for possible future content.
That Xbox AOE4 gifted needs to be used again one of these days :)
He did a whole bunch of challenges as part of his subathon a few months ago, mouse only was one of them.

i think the crossplay will unfortunately demoralize the controller players. i think it was a good move for the age also i hope they add crossplay off option (if its not already there). so if u wanna play with friends who play on mnk or compete with them its fine, if not u shouldnt be forced to. the difference is big imo for the majority
You can turn off cross play on Xbox….it doesn’t force you to play PC players. Thank god.

good afternoon, thanks for the video! very interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it possible to somehow convey to the developers the idea to put filters on random network matches! It became simply impossible to play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a huge influx of level 25-70 players turned team matches into a circus!!!!!!!!!!! if you come across two low-level players, you can immediately leave, they will just stand at their bases and do nothing! It's just awful!!!!!! I'm already looking forward to the release of the Age of Myths, I hope things will be better there!
Im really sad. I was forced to change game bc mouse and keyboard were ruining my arms, so now i can only play controller games. I was really good at this and i love this game so much but u cant play on controller. Maybe he can beat every other xbox player but he doesn t stand a chance against maybe even pc plat.

bro hes on a controller against one of the best players in the world. No matter how good u are, theres only so much you can do with a controller. If beasty was also on a controller, this guy would prolly smoke him.

I play the this game on xbox series X, and it crashes consistently every 5 or 10 minutes, I genuinely want to like the game but i can even complete one game

You tried reinstalling and all that? Crashing for Xbox is definitely not common.
I play on series X too…over 150 ranked games played and I’ve never had a game crash or bug out. Not one. I agree with the other commenter, you have something else going on causing your issues.
I bet Microsoft will analyze these games and make it more in the Xbox’s favor
i doubt it, the pc playerbase is their bread and butter and will be the main ones still playing years down the road

this guy should get a keyboard and mouse and try to learn how to use it on xbox, and see how far he can make it then, with his already existing knowledge of the game. Im an xbox user that uses keyboard and mouse and its very obviously better. Now the auto vil thing does help the controller guys stay more viable in the late game because it makes them be able to keep up on macro, but early game is where controller users really struggle. I always try to kill early as possible
I just hate Crossplay so bad. Queu time is a lot longer now. Some modes like FFA are litteraly unplayable. You can wait for 20 min straight with no game unless you turn on Crossplay which is a 80% L chance. And not like a Fun L. More like you cant even get close mecanicaly to them. Ranked non-crossplay isnt a thing anymore almost. Before patch we were a few thousands now... we are 400....

not really, controller is never better, its just the competition is lesser on xbox. I also play on xbox but use keyboard and mouse and the game is the most even in late games. Its true like beasty said, early game aggression is less common on xbox BUT i will say, its been increasing over the months and ive noticed ppl getting better in early game and overall. You gotta keep in mind that alot of xbox players are peoplr with zero prior RTS experience. For me, ive played alot of RTS in the past (mostly brood war) plus using keyboard and mouse, ive always been an early aggression type guy on xbox, but they are finally getting better at dealing with it. Several months back, i would demolish almost everyone i played with english longbow rush lol.
@@nunyabizwacks6711 The reason for less early aggression is micro though. Harassing vills and not losing everything or not getting baited into the TC takes a lot of micro that's relatively easy on kb/m, but very hard on controller. That makes it not worth it. Knight micro is not the hardest thing in the world but you have to be quick, quicker than you can be with a controller, same goes for longbow harass.
Really no Fan of this Crossplay thing...hope it is deactivatable in Future. Its not fair and not funny to play against a Controller User. So long i dodge these People.
i dunno about PC, but you can turn it off on the xbox version. I play with keyboard and mouse on xbox, but i turned it off anyway, for team games especially because gettibg absolute dog shit partners was already a problem before crossplay, so now i def dont wanna face some PC sweats with newbs AND a controller in their hands lol. But overall i agree, i would have kept the playerbases seperate for now, even the xbox player base was plenty healthy. I could understand doing it in the future as the playerbase starts to dwindle but yea, would be better off seperate now.
