Hell yeah, I think it is cool to get the feeling like how a pro is using the keyboard. In my opinion, it would be possibly usefull for when you making a video guide and having a test play with someone and having like a dual screen of your keyboard and you by explaining stuff. Maybe trying out and looking how the peoples think about that. But I guess it is also important to know, if you have a custom keyboard settings/mapping , ingame AoE4 or maybe 3rds Tools.

Thank you so much for this. I catch myself all the time not knowing which unit is strong or weak against what and what the soft counters are, even in Platinum III. I also play more on a casual basis and can't keep up with the DLCs and balance patches adding new changes. I keep losing games because of making the wrong units due to sheer lack of knowledge. It doesn't help that you can't view the unit stats in the in-game tech tree. Because just knowing about damage bonuses isn't enough to make a judgement if you don't know the base values of HP, damage, armor. This game is still missing a lot of essential QOL features. I hope they add them at some point.

Why does it feels like they wanted to copy SC2 so bad rather than making something original? Like, I think this game could have had a more unique feeling with some changes, like, heres just some random ideas a nobody like me can throw in 10 seconds of giving it a thought: - Why the need to add a human race? It 100% feels like a terran bootleg, totally cheapens the aspect of the game and almost forces the comparison to SC2. Also I think people are saturated of seeing humans in sci-fi, it has become generic. - They could have went for a more "angels vs demons" approach at first, and focusing the races more on a bio aspect rather than these goofy looking triangle "celestials". - Then add a 3rd race thats something different like idk, maybe a race of some hivemind AI? I bet you could easily invent a new playstyle just based around that idea. - Or maybe a 3rd race based around some "druid" aliens?, and some mechanic based around the "spreading floor" from UD, Zergs, and Infernals, but rather than being about death its based around life and has effects on environment like changing terrains? And yeah I know some of these ideas may seem dumb or crazy, the point is, is some nobody like me can think some shit like this in 10 seconds, how in the fucking world people getting paid for it and working in teams couldn't think of something original?

I can't get over the cartoony artstyle of Stormgate. Its like watching a saturday morning cartoon. Definitely not as gritty or realistic as Starcraft even if it is more modern. Battle Aces may not have a campaign or any kind of PVE experience but you can tell they've put everything into its PVP focus. I think it looks very polished and looking forward to giving it a go.

Isn't any strategy pretty easy to counter if you know it's coming? I feel a lot of players could adapt their game strategy quite well if they were told exactly what the enemy is doing, no scouting needed. This strategy as well as many other strategies has a shock factor where you exploit the enemy's inability to mount a response in time.

If you compare some gold player challenges from last year to this it’s pretty clear the community as a whole is just better Edit: after watching to the end I’m not sure about that. I'm around 80-130APM in AOE4. And since that in reality is actually too little for that game, in order to do more than just econemy. Then i just dry out fast, and play something else. :) GameSpeed is jsut too fast in "modern" RTS. That's it. And yes. if it was actually slower. Pro players, would still be able to execute alot of stuff .. and even more to it. ;) - While at the same time, New-players, and in general not-so-good-players, would still be able to do more. If the RTS genre is actually going in a direction where it loses more and more players. i can 100% tell you, that it is because of the idea that the gamespeeds on todays RTS, needs to be so fast. AOE1, is now 2.0X gamespeed AOE2, is now 1.7X gamespeed, than what it used to be. And to be good, and do more than econoemy, one has to be able to properly do above 150APM, and even more. :)
