- When learning how to use the fuji instax SQ6, it's important to understand the focusing distance for each mode. If you're in the right mode for the situation, the images come out great! Just be sure to disable flash when it's not needed and don't forget to compose your shot in the top right corner when using macro mode.

I must admit, I haven't used an instant camera since I was a little kid but boy is it fun haha, I can't wait to actually use it on a photoshoot! The experience of shooting on film is completely different knowing every time you press the shutter button, that's it! And the "wait and see" part of instant film is very exciting.
Yessss! I had never used one until I got the instax mini 90 in February and fell in love and even decided to start an instant photography business (IG;FB;TWITTER: @instaxsandra) and people love it!!
Also just got the sq6 on Monday! It gave me anxiety that you didn’t put the strap on it lol! But the pictures turned out good!
instablaster...
This was done with knowledge, patience, and thoroughness. I appreciate this. It's a great video review.
I want to grow by exploring, appreciating and treasuring all the moments of my life. I badly want to have an instant camera but as of now, my parents won't allow me because its too expensive. Its so nice to look back and remember how we choose to fight and be happy in life. Instax camera will always have special place in my heart. God bless you more for allowing everyone to be happy and pursuing their pasion.
This is just the video I was looking for! You did an excellent job providing all the information on the modes and showing how the camera behaves in different light conditions. Cheers from Italy 🇮🇹
Such a helpful video! Great to see the general conditions, your thought process for the snaps, then the outcome - pretty much all the videos I've watched otherwise just have the end result with very little showing how the camera performed to get there. Thanks!
Thanks for posting! This information was super helpful
What a great video, it really gave me a good idea of how the camera will perform in general. Thank you and keep it up!
Amazing photos! That camera ( combined with you ) is brilliant!👍
This video was really helpful, thank you
Very good "every day use" review. Thanks!
Great video I’m subscribing. I like how you thought things through before every shot.
Your video changed my choice fr the instax cam right away ! And it strengthen the choice ive decided ! And i bought it haha So cool
Just came across your channel. Great video man, it’s super useful! And I like your chill vibe
i love you for this video!!! I was going to get the instax sq1 but this totally changed my mind into getting the sq6!
Love it! Can't wait to see how the photoshoot turns out.
I took a few shots with it in my photoshoot bts ep12!
This was very helpful. Thank you.
Just got mine! Great video!!
Thanks! This is very informative!
out of all the people who have shared their results with this camera, yours are the best, hands down!!
Great video, helpful to this day too
Thanks
This is great! Thanks for the video
Your videos are always amazing....Keep up the great work.
Thank you!
Love this!
Just a tip, make sure to turn the camera off when not in use since the batteries aren’t rechargeable
Slick video. Helpful info.
Thank you, that was perfect. btw, I went to Baton Rouge High in the olden days.
Lighten & darken modes default to auto (focus range .5-2m). I use neutral density gels and shoot in landscape (2m to inf.). I use a Roscolux gel #397 (1/2 stop) over the lens to darken and over the light sensor to lighten.#97=1 stop. Buy a Roscolux swatch book for about $10. I use removable double sided tape to attach the gels.
Thanks for the info!
Just ordered one of these. They appear a lot better than the current line of Fujifilm instant cameras.
Great video.
Great video
Thank you!
Great video, finally somebody testing and showing the photos. I think you never did another video of this camera like you said you would?
best video review so far i've watched for the Fuji SQ6. The only thing I missed to consider it complete was trying the double exposure and maybe the color flash filters ... that would be nice! Great photos and great job though!
And selfie.
5:29 that really came out better than expected
It's lightning! 🤗
I like your review and feeling lucky that I was able to get one just before the SQ1 was launched. Meanwhile the SQ6 is discontinued and only the SQ1 remains which lacks all controls.
Great video thank you. Is it better to turn flash on or off for selfies?
Really just depends on the environment and the style of shot you’d like to get. If it’s too dark then you might want to use flash since you wouldn’t be able to see anything. If you have plenty of light, you can still choose to use flash if you’re going for that look or you can opt for a natural light look
Wonder which state are u from bro? Love the accent. Awesome video as always btw 👍🏻
I'm from Louisiana, I appreciate it!
Hi, very helpful, but I still have a couple of questions:
1) I don’t quite understand the very differences between “selfie mode” and “ macro mode” since the have the same focal distance.
2) what’s the focus distance when shooting automatic, or double exposure or lighten and darken mode. They just specify the focus distance when shooting macro, selfie and landscapes. Thank you!
The focusing range is the same in auto, double exposure and lighten and darken modes (0,5 m - 2 m).
Selfie mode adjust so that the mirror in front is how the person will be framed. Macro mode u need the dot to be on the top right corner so that the subject will be centered
One functional difference between the SQ6 and Mini 90 is that on the Mini 90 you can choose to lighten and darken independently of focus distance (macro, intermediate, distant), whereas with the SQ6 if you choose macro or distance, there’s no way to specify lighten or darken - doing so will take you off your distance selection. Regardless, the SQ6 is wonderful.
"I feel like its downloading" hahah totally
can anyone help? i am debating between this camera (sq6) and the recent polaroid now, which would be the better choice?
They are both pretty similar. As with most film work, the biggest differences will be in the type of film they use. I was gonna go with the Polaroid camera because of the prints being bigger but the film isn’t as consistent I’d like it to be. Sometimes it’s great! Sometimes weird things happen. The Fujifilm was more consistent in the results so that’s why I went with the sq6.
thank you!!
@@sineysantiago481 Hi! I was also deciding between the Polaroid Now and the Instax sq6 and I'm going with the sq6 for the same reason. I love the Polaroid prints because of how large they are, but they're expensive and I'm new to instant film -- figured it would be safer to go with the sq6 for the consistency/reliability factor. If I get really into instant film, I might get a Polaroid in the future!
Shoulda done a selfie!!
tupac shooting instax sq6
Legend
Do you still use yours?
Have you tried the fujifilm x series yet?
Yes I have! They're great cameras, the autofocus and lens selection has always stopped me from buying one for myself
@@erwinmarionneaux I have a xt1 but I only use manual lens for it. I got my hands on a vintage sigma 28mm 2.8, fujinon 100mm 2.8 and Canon fd 135mm F2.8 prime lens. An automatic lens is the last I need on a fujifilm camera. Plus film recipes are really dope.
Other than the film size, I can't decide between SQ6 and Neo90 :/
Other than film size, it’s basically just which one looks better to you. The photos themselves will be the same.
Does putting it in the pocket help it develop better lol?
Yes they need to be in a dark place
Get a Mike bro, get a Mike 😆
