Left 4 dead 2 better more stuff u can do easy get add on and stuff left 4 dead 1 good as well all good side and downside bug as someone who play both. I love left 4 dead 2 more sadly mainly much more content than left 4 dead 1

It's me or L4D1 looks more... Natural, than second game. More realistic lighting, weapons animations, smooth interface and shaders which making picture more appealing to the eye

Yes,but they are two different environments. l4d1 is urban, dark and rainy, etc. On the other hand, left 4 dead 2 is clearer and cleaner. The animations of l4d1 are more natural than those of 2, in 2 they are much more static

infinite shoove is not a good thing, animations is a kinda of taste i prefer the l4d2 ones,

in terms of details and graphics, l4d2 does everything better, water, fire, gore system. Animations i personally like both of them.
tThe only stuff that L4D1 does better is that it has legs in first person and ragdoll physics when survivors die, but you can easily download mods that restored those in the workshop.

they changed some of the left 4 dead 1 maps. like in no mercy finale, there was a room in the staircase after the radio, but left 4 dead 2 made it open with rails

@@LastBaws Yes, some maps changes were the Versus map versions from L4D1, while some they changed only on L4D2. But you can still download mods to play the original L4D1 maps

In L4D2, they even brought back the L4D1 Map's since 2010, even the Special Infecteds like the Charger, Jockey & Spitter are in the L4D1 Map's as well, and when the Last Stand Update was released back in October 2020, The Zombie's & Special Infected (Hunter, Smoker, Boomer & Tank) are in their L4D1 Variants when you play the L4D1 Map's, Except "The Sacrifice".

Just my thoughts here, I think the reason these visual downgrades on features such as physics bodies probably due to how complicated physics is with reviving dead teammates. The bodies might fly somewhere else when the player attempts to revive them. They spawn where they initially died instead of where their body was. Instead of attempting to do something like fix an almost impossible thing because physics are calculated random and cannot predict physics. Just go with the normal death animation and just predict where the player is. That’s the idea I think why they removed the physics on player characters.
Another about the first person legs is the issue being visual on looking down with shooting. Possibly distracting to testers and decision to remove it.

I gotta be honest with you, playing L4D was way more scary than L4D2, especially when a tank spawns in or hearing a hunter in the distance. L4D2 is fun and all but it doesn't have the scary vibe like L4D did which made the game way more fun eventho it has less special infected zbs and lack of weapons.

Left 4 Dead 1 had always been more superior. It’s crazy. I thought I was the only one who noticed back in 2009.
Wish it retained its fan base and player mass to this day, but if you have L4D2, you wouldn’t have to get L4D1.
The sound effects of the guns are far better too! They feel more powerful in part 1.

Not much a downgrade, l4d2 has more content in it than l4d so they make sure not to make a toll on your pc. And powerful pc not commons at that year.

honestly I love the FPS model of L4d1 it feels more like a half life game. L4d2 is in this purgatory of Decent FPS model to Atrocious FPS weapon handling. Good thing TLS updat fix this but still I prefer the Goofy ass gun holding l4d1 have like any other FPS valve game.
