Really easy pattern to follow but the measurements are off. I have a golden with a 20â neck so I added the 10â for a tie bandana and did it 13â wide so it would turn out to be 12â with seam allowance. I tried it on him and thereâs just and I mean just enough tie for it to loosely fit. So I would add an additional 5â at least to any collar length measurement for a large dog for this pattern. The width I choose is perfect for a large dog I think, the 7.5â your measurements gave would have been tiny on him. I wouldnât be able to make this exact pattern for friends or family because thereâs not enough extra tie length left over for a dogâs neck size that I donât know the exact size forâŠ
thanks for the feedback - we tried it on the yorkie and the german shepherd and found the measurements worked but a little more is never a bad thing for a large dog. I'll add your suggestion to the blog post - appreciate it.
With my measurements Iâd be 35â wide by 13â deep. This way it can be rolled if itâs too long down the neck (so the depth part). And having extra room to tie is never a bad thingâŠ
@@RunYourDog thank you for responding so quickly! I was just about to cut into them. These guys live in Canada so one side is fleece and the other is cotton, haha. Thanks again and Merry Christmas!
Thanks for your great videođ
You're very welcome!
