I went to the beautiful winter mountains with my hurdy gurdy, a traditional medieval instrument from ancient times. I played a song for the trees, for the snow and the frozen lake with its ice sounds. And in this magical Imbolc day, they listened.
Este invierno he ido a las preciosas montañas con mi zanfona, un instrumento tradicional medieval de la antigüedad. Allí, toqué una canción para los árboles, la nieve y el lago helado con sus sonidos de hielo. Y en este mágico día de Imbolc, parecían escuchar!

Fiddle I don't get but the hurdy gurdy and bagpipes both have drones that play all the time. with pipes its wind instrument type and the gurdy its strings.

@@Scruffy001 To go more into detail: both the Bagpipe and Hurdy Gurdy have "bourdons" (that's what we call it in Flanders/The Netherlands, I don't know if "drones" is the correct English term, but I guess so). Bourdons can be both strings and shawms.
It seems like a slightly easier-to-play nyckelharpa. I need one.
@@TrIs1493 It's often used negatively, but that is officially what we call that sort of sound. In fact, some of the strings on the hurdy gurdy are referred to as "drone" strings.

My first time hearing you play. I am a musician. I play acoustic and use drop tuning's for acoustic guitar. I like the sound of droning string tones. The sound of the Hurdy Gurdy has a magical sublime sound with it's many droning strings. I enjoyed your playing and the video. : )

The music is beautiful. The nature is beatiful. But for some reason I just can't stop thinking: "Oh no, she's out there in the cold with no hat! Oh no, she also has no gloves and she's touching the ice! OH NO, PLEASE DON'T SIT ON THAT COLD STONE!"
No need to be concerned. If you have the correct mindset, you can make your body adjust to the environment, thus not be troubled by the cold. I moved to a much colder climate, nothing as severe as months of snow, but very cold compared to the previous 40 years of climate.
My first walks on the abandoned railway line in winter were painful, but it only took a week to acclimate, and now I walk the track in winter in shorts and a t-shirt. Now I ride my bike in winter on my 2hr return rides to the village in 0 C temps, and that was very painful at first, now 4 C temps are warm for me.

A anicent musical instrument that I , as an American, had never seen, or really heard off.
My first real exposure to this very cool instruments was Party Gurdy, a cover of a song that was beautiful, sexy, biblical, just a wonderful instrument. A new Discovery of music at 60.cool as hell.
