- Remember those days when we couldn't get enough of shows like All That and The Amanda Show? They were like the staple of our childhood, defining comedy for an entire generation. But what was actually happening behind the scenes is pretty disturbing. The world behind the camera wasn't all rainbows and sunshine. Instead, it was a murky mix of abuse, sexism, racism, and some seriously questionable behavior with the young stars and crew. Drake Bell and others opened up about their abuse and mistreatment.

I remember when I was little, I wished for that life. But my mom already knew of that shadowy side and didn't encourage me for it. I don't resent her for it. At all.
You can be strong, in the midst of wolves and friends. You have the knowledge of abuse. Even now, you can (maybe) go after your current dreams.

Same here! I live in the UK 🇬🇧 and when I was a child and a teen, I wished I could fly to Hollywood and be a huge star. Now I understood why I couldn't make it.

gosh I feel so sorry for them, they really didn’t need that in their lives😞
As a nicktoons fan i heard about what happened regarding nickelodeon's live action content i feel sorry for the people involved in the controversy while relieved that the nicktoons like spongebob, jimmy neutron, Danny phantom, mlaatr, fairly oddparents, rugrats, hey arnold, avatar and others wouldn't stoop this low good thing their image isn't this upsetting behind the scenes.
The only Nicktoon that had some sort of dark secret was Ren & Stimpy and that's only because the creator John Kricfalusi is a pedophile. He dated underaged girls back in the '90s and lied to them saying he could help them get started in the animation industry. One of his former girlfriends spoke out against him. I saw a picture of what she looked like when she was 16. She still looked like she was in middle school.

As someone who grew up loving all that, the Amanda show etc. it made me sick and very sad how these young kids sacrificed their childhood to give me mine :(

A docu isn't 6 minutes long
Supporting someone with childhood trauma is incredibly important. It's essential to listen without judgment, validate their feelings, and remind them they're not alone. Encouraging professional help if needed and being patient as they navigate healing is crucial. Our support can make a significant difference in their journey to healing and resilience.
There should be more security politics in the acting world, and services that people suffering from this can rely on, in first place it should be prevented, privacy is a good thing but it can be dangerous, depending who you are sharing it with, maybe more surveillance of what is done within a set.
you cant expect complex self preservation from a minor, atleast without a good education on boundaries and self care, but adults also tend to be really ignorant, so its hard to also expect good decision taking around these themes from their parents, so its best to add laws that regulate how the actors world work for those who cant take moral decisions by themselves.
live an external life, win external prices, alcohol, drugs, sex, money, all those tend to be done for the external quemical gratification that it gives, the feeling, i dont know how kid actors end up involved in those things just for being in the acting world, ¿how are they even exposed to that? ¿where were the parents when they were being exposed to that? ¿and the regulations? this world gives too much freedom to everyone, to the point where one has the freedom of affecting others life.
Man, feels like everyone’s been talking about this show lately.
I kinda had known that behind the scenes that people like Drake Bell, Jeannette McCurdy, and others would be struggling with the problematic behaviors that Dan Scheinder was doing. It’s really sad that it took this long for this documentary series on people like Dan to finally come to light.
I’ve been watching the series, I’m on the 5th episode of it.
This is why I don't want to go to Hollywood or be famous cuz I don't want to experience this type of things behind the scenes or be their puppets
I enjoyed the docuseries, it was interesting and eye opening. Drake’s story and his dad broke my heart. I cried and my heart felt heavy in my chest😥 And multiple descriptions of Dan I related to my own (narcissistic) boss, crazy stuff.
I can't believe what happened to the little girl who played Ducky on first land before time movie.(spoiler she died.)

I still have yet to see this documentary. The testimonies from these former child actors said it all. Not all former child actors had a bad experience but many did. Grooming underaged children in Hollywood has been a serious issue for decades. Even some former child actors who worked on TV shows long before the 1990s have come out about being molested. A good example of this is Todd Bridges. Years ago, long before he wrote his autobiography Killing Willis he admitted to being molested by a family friend. It turned out it was his mentor who was supposed to help him break into show business. He told both of his parents but his father didn't believe him and was still friends with the guy. Todd's dad died back in 1997.
I just borrowed "Im Glad my Mom Died" by Jennette. The show "Quiet on Set" had me crying out of sympathy. I was letting out a fountain of tears with Drake Bell's story. However, I dont know Jennette's full story. Im for sure going to dive deep

There is opportunity for abuse is in every industry. Where there is positions of power there are predators. The kids film industry is an institution and how the abuse stayed in house for so long is the amount of access the predators had to the child actors. There is also more interests for witnesses and victims to stay quiet for their livelihoods. So fellow humans please define what is most important to you and what will you not sacrifice. Don't let anyone use urgency, baiting, belittling tactics to get you to do something you really don't want to do. What will be your plan when it eventually happens?

It honestly hurts to see while we were watching and laughing to shows like Drake and Josh, the actors were secretly getting explotied and harassed. Dan is an evil man and deserves punishment

Could you please talk about mental health issues again on your channel again? I can't trust any of the psychiatrists I met. Even these videos on CZcams platform proves that they're not so qualified mainly because of how they communicate with a patient. I can't hesitate to think that psychology field in our country is damned.
By the way .... Please expose more about
1. Schizophrenia(Especially what if I can't hear anyone now and don't see anything - There were very few occasions that I saw things clearly and I doubt that whether I got auditory hallucinations or pseudo hallucinations but there were few people who talked to me in the past torturing and threatening me, the host was YAHWEH the god).
2. OCD(This is my oldest diagnosis and even though I told many psychotic symptoms in the past, this was an unshakable diagnosis and now this getting kinda undertaken as schizophrenia has risen, I wanna know what can make this mimic schizophrenia. Whether paranoid delusions and taking very intense reactions against them are also caused by these.)
3. What does the term Trauma-Related issues really mean. None of my doctors listened to my trauma. They always didn't give me a chance to tell them. Finally, I showed so many evidences to claim about my traumatic experiences. That's when he gave me chance to share what happened to me and agreed that I've trauma-related issues since that's the term I questioned him about but he doesn't give me any information goes beyond this term.
I really wish your help to understand what's happening to me. Sometimes, I say my issues such as triggers but they simply tell me to forget about them even though they're quite disturbing. I think I need more different drugs.
