  • The Temple of Silence is a mysterious organization dedicated to the preservation of knowledge. Ironically, the truth behind this organization was unknown until Cyno's new Story Quest. In this video, I go over the history of the Temple and the Sage who created it

Finding out that Cyno's parents sold him was sad, I think it's better that he doesn't remember his time in the Temple

@@EvitzeoshowerthoughtsHe's right, the hat is cleary not the only similary, outside of the Priest's Helmet their haircut are quite literraly the same, the only difference being as you said the hair colour

@@Idontknow-dh6es maybe I can't tell fashion but how are they the same hairstyle?
Kasala has like.. 2 bangs for symmetry and long hair on the front. He looks like lumine more than cyno with that hairstyle.
Cyno's hair is all on the back and nothing on the front and has a bigger more edgy kid bang that covers 75% of the face before the 2nd bang
Again, I'm not a detail master, I may be wrong. Maybe cyno's hair is longer than I thought

@@Evitzeoshowerthoughts Nope, though it may be a animation problem, but when we first see him he has part of his face fully covered by his hair (like Cyno) and the second part when he is getting surrended by plant we see him with another haircut ? It's strange tbh, maybe he aged during that time period idk but from the side he look a lot like Cyno

The temple of Silence was not open to all. Rather Sethos said a select trusted few would be allowed to enter and study the knowledge they held.

Crazy that Apep was considered by the people to be a sage of Deshret. Most likely Apep had no involvement in the lives of humans at all and didn’t give a shit what people thought of her. She was just Deshret’s failsafe in case his experiment went wrong. Which it did.
I also REALLY hope we get to interact with the Golden Slumber again at some point and actually see what Deshret looked like. Or at least get to talk to his incorporial mind. Because we know he split his mind off from his body and likely entered the golden slumber before letting Apep swallow his body. So at least mentally he’s still alive in the golden slumber. And we KNOW for a fact that the golden slumber is still functional and people can still enter it through Jeht’s storyline. It feels like a waste to not explore that.

Sumeru's lore is pretty fun, kinda sad it is one of the most underrated ones, the desert area has an unique aura, I hope they add more quest and world quest on that area

Now that we are making theories about Sumeru again, I happen to remember a very interesting thing that happened to me and other players during the release of Sumeru (3.0), I don’t know if this is a bug, because people said that this happens during/after completing certain missions of Aranyaka and talked about it for a very short period of time. This “bug” was people finding random npcs of our abyss sibling (I clarify abyss because their element thingies are white) in some random quest unlocked places throughout the rainforest. This bug is very interesting and managed to creep me out because if you read the quest, you know our sibling did help the Aranara’s in the past. My encounter was when I went back for a waypoint after retrieving some sort of flower and the cave flooded with us out at north of Sumeru (sorry if I don’t explain it too well, it was a very long time ago). After going back for the waypoint, I found a copy of Lumine, silently staring at me with the white glow on her clothes. I have a screenshot, it still creeps me out
Edit: I choose Lumine as my traveler, not aether

Yeah so I was bother by 1 thing in the video and decided to lore-rant about a my thoughts I had 3 days ago :') It's long
I think the statue you showed for Thoth was meant to represent Deshret since 1. it's everywhere 2. in the cutscene from Cyno's story quest we can see them all (without Apep ofc) and Thoth is an Ibis, with much longer downwards turned beak than what we see on those statues as the one you showed, since it has a head of a hawk (or an esgle, I' not sure, following egyptian mythology hawk would make more sense)
I recently had an episode of trying to find Thoth's statue because I was sure I saw it somewhere and that somewhere was near Apep's domain, AND I SWEAR THE STATUE THERE USED TO HAVE A HEAD AND THERE USED TO BE 2 but I have a feeling I got hit by mandala effect, bcs the only one that is there is headless Sobek T_T
And this let to a meltdown over how tf are characters like Alhaitham and the others meant to represent these historical figures since they are allegories to a certain extent. After 2h of solid meltdown and searching ruins I remembered how Mary-Ann and Lyris got mixed into 1 entity that then spawned Ann, another aspect of the original Mary-Ann (and Lyris probably) and so I wonder, are these characters allegories to multiple characters of the past? For example both Alhaitham and Kaveh share different aspects of what Deshret was, including visual design since we know from Liloupar Deshret had golden/blond hair. And Alhaitham is at the same time referencing Thoth, a scribe, and how Thoth was against the golden slumber, but at the same time has a fkin big ass bird as a constellation which is probably eagle, nevertheless a vulture, DESHRET VIBES, eyes: DESHRET VIBES, that pattern on the chest that is the same as some mural in gurabad: MORE vibes
so like, since fates and memories of people in Teyvat, at least those that Irminsul records, are condensated in the Irminsul fruit, THE FAKE STARS THAT MAKE UP THESE CONSTELLATIONS, what if it's like, the constellation forms if the person **resonates** (music theory from Remuria) with certain memory fruits which means they can combine more fates. I wonder if the game mechanic of 6 constellations has anything to do with visions, like if you have 6 stars that you resonate with the most you can get a vision. Btw do visionless people have constellations? Mona mentioned reading fates of people so I guess so, maybe they have much more stars in their constellation that they have weak resonations with, while vision wielders have 6 strong resonations - which is something ALL playable characters with visions have no matter their background. Maybe the element they get is decided by prevalence of certain ambitions/feelings/general vibes that resonate with the current Archon (or Neuvi). Which is why some peeple with a lot of ambition still don't get a vision - they just don't resonate with either some else's past fate or with the current archons strong enough.
I imagine the "resonation" as like, someone playing the right notes within the musica humana by what they do and think (since it's all recorded) in the world in such a way it resonates with musica mundana, like if you have 6 chords playing in the background (mundana) and you played 3 notes (humana) that resonated with notes in one of the chords and maybe then you played 3 more notes that would be a part of a different chord from those six (I don't know shit about music please excuse me and someone correct me) so you'd resonate with 2 "fates from the past" if it makes sense. This also implies musica mundana is "stored" or "played" by the memories and fates stored in the leaylines and irminsul fruits, but I am not sure about anything from this rant, especially considering the memory of irminsul manupulation like Scara's case.
CG for reading this, Traveler, I had to wrote this somewhere or I'd go insane. Sorry for mistakes, eng is not my first lang and I have fat fingers
