In this driving test, Prince is driving well but then makes three serious driving faults towards the end of the driving test. It was going so well!

Hi Pin, I just wanted to say thank you for the ultimate driving course! I had no lessons with an instructor, only drove with family etc...your course filled the gaps and helped with all I needed to know and I passed this morning! 😊
As a driver for over 10 years, i can relate to the small minors etc that these learners have, and ultimately will improve on in the lessons etc, but i still really enjoy watching these, as i think sometimes the longer you are driving, the style and bad habits picked up over the years can be seen as complacent, so it also helps me to refresh what driving skills i have and need to improve myself. Thanks Pin! Great videos.

I’m finally one of those who watch these videos after passing. I passed for the first time 2 days ago with 5 minors so not the best but it’ll do. These video are honestly a massive help and it drills to your head what you can and can’t do in your exam. Good luck to you all 🤞✌️

I love this channel.. When I passed my driver's test and started driving, the bad thing that I was told to never do was change to gear one while the cars still in motion and driving with people like parents lol can be hectic coz there's more shouting then having a decent explanation to your learning. I also was told that when taking off the car could Carry itself like I didn't need to accelerate so I did that and had like few moments were I would panic coz the car switched off and that actually caused me to fail on my first attempt as I rolled the car :(
I have found your videos very useful to watch. I have my driving test on Wednesday and I’m nervous but you have given me confidence to be able to do it. I’m praying everything goes well and I don’t panick on the day just remember to stay calm and do my best. Make sure to observe and react appropriately. I have found roundabout my weakness the most compared to everything else.

I haven't finished, but from what I have watched, my guess is that he just needs to remember to stay relaxed and not rush.
He is so worried about being slow and keeping people back, that he rushes off the clutch, rushes to stop etc.
He can definitely do it, he just needs to let go of the fear of being slow.
I know this may be different for automatics, but for manuals, I always use the handbrake at lights unless I know it is about to change.
My instructor also never let me put the car in neutral when stopped (besides a single junction that literally makes you sit for 4 mins). It would be put in 1st gear, but I would keep my foot on the clutch. It meant I could keep my hand on the handbrake, so I wouldn't forget to release it when moving off.

At 10:36 we are told "In 300 yards CROSS THE ROUNDABOUT first exit". This means go straight on - not turn left even though it is first exit. It is also an instruction relating to a roundabout. The digital map shows our location as on a straight route at a cross roads short of a roundabout. It tells us the roundabout is 180 yards further on. We turn left at this traffic light controlled cross roads which is not a roundabout. The route planner instantly reprogrammes itself. The information Tom Tom sat-navs give is clear and easy to understand if you know how to use them.

If by some chance you come to Puerto Rico I would appreciate to give it a try , my mom is very overprotective ( I understand her) but I need to learn , believe it or not , I haven't even practiced parking even 1 time , I've driven around , only way I could park is in a big space without parking between cars ( I don't know how) 🥺 I'm scared to crash my car when parking , I already scratched my car when going in a tight traffic ( parked car ) and small hit to another car in a parking ( car was parked and my headlight fell off)

Hey Pin, not from the UK, from Aus, but was just wondering isnt the checks that prince doing abit excessive? For instance at the 6 minute mark when hes taking off, he does the full sweep twice? and then again at the 16 minute mark when hes doing the reverse park? and a few other times during the drive.
He failed twice due to poor observations, he is not tryna take any risks 😂
In the UK they’re pretty strict during the test in regards to checking mirrors etc. Better to be safe than sorry if you wanna pass 🤣🤣

15:53 why do learners do the 3 line method? It's so bad, check your mirrors signal left, just before swinging out to the right check over your right shoulder and then reverse in a 45° angle. It's safer and so much easier
Agreed, made my life 100 times easier when my friend told me about it. Although it took me a few tries to master it.
Because it's how learners get taught. It's the mind set that "swinging out" is the enemy. When in fact the 45° method if observed correctly is so much easier and still can be done safely.
Maybe because thats how some of them are taught. And not all instructors teach the exact same way.
Sir can you please suggest me that which book i can read that can help me in my practical test.

Don’t be! It’s not that scary just focus on your driving you’ll be fine. I had the nerves too but after the first 10-15 minutes of driving you realise it’s just a normal drive. You forget the examiner is even there 😁

Damn I’m early. Any tips to not stall first gear? I take way to long in moving and I end up panicking and leaving the clutch a bit quickly. Cheers.

@@teddies_ I never got how to do that. Do you add gas before or after? I tried before and I take just as long.
@@artosoko6421 try put the gas down fist around 1500rpm and then clutch to the biting point then released the handbrake. That way you can find the biting point easy and avoid to roll back.
GAS! I’m having the same problem so I just put more gas on, the car might rev more but it’s better than stalling in my eyes 🙈
Add gas before lifting the clutch (handbrake only). If your using the footbrake this is slower and is a risk to stalling but can be done. Bring the clutch quickly to the biting point then come off smoothly count to 3 backwards and lift off the pedal fully. Your stalling for 3 reasons wrong gear, not enough gas and or rushing off the clutch. Your moving off slowly because your taking ages getting the biting point I assume and then not lifting the clutch off fast enough like 5 seconds +. When it should be about 3 maximum for normal driving. Unless clutch control is needed for junctions then that is slightly different.
The thing is we say you're allowed 15 minors. However if you get multiple minors in the same area you'll get a serious for it and then fail, regardless of not having over 15 minors

How you gonna slow down if you don’t use the brakes?
Brakes are for slowing down & the clutch allows you to go up/down a gear
Brakes first to benefit from engine braking, then lift the clutch so you don't stall

@@mikedean3106 Yeah so start your lessons now, and book your lesson now, theres a couple dates in december-January even in november, but people always cancel so look out for canncellations. That way ur ready to drive and pass 1st time👍🏼
This time yesterday, I was revising before my test at midday - after failing the three previous times. Then, I passed with 3 minors. Just some advice for upcoming tests:
1. Be calm - Be calm - Be calm
2. If you fail, you will take it again. There are so many worse things that can happen to you in your life than driving a machine. Be calm
3. What is yours will not pass you by. Practice, Revise, Concentrate, Don't rush. But always, stay calm.
You will be grand and good luck for your upcoming tests. Believe in yourselves and you will do it. Good luck!
