Episode 3! Heads up, some of the picture quality may look a little weird. It's because when the episodes were recorded, the episodes were so dark (I think we already know they love shooting really dark), and the recordings weren't adjusted. So thanks for the understanding. I'll get it correct for the next ones. Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend!
One of my favourite stories about the making of Game of Thrones is about the casting of Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth. Christie read the books before the show was even being made, and so identified with the character of Brienne that she took horse riding and swordplay lessons just in case the opportunity to play Brienne ever occurred. When it did, she was already the perfect actor for the role. She was big and strong and had all of the relevant skills.
Maisie Williams (Arya) received a standing ovation from the cast and crew for her performance in the scene with Yoren. She said so much with her face and eyes but you knew what she a thinking..words not needed!
Theon to Robb, a few episodes ago: "Are you my brother, now and always?" Theon now: "I have no other family." Oh, Theon. Theon, Theon, Theon. Don't do anything you'll regret.
Rakharo is his name. Also, the Starks are of the blood of the First Men. It is like saying that someone is part Neanderthal. It is one of the reasons that most Northerners like to distance themselves from the rest of the kingdom. Geographically and in practice. Many of them still believe in the old ways, as well as the old gods. It is the reason why most northerners have Weirwood trees somewhere near their houses. Weirwood trees, like the one at Winterfell, are easily identifiable from their white bark and the faces. It is believed that the faces were put there by the gods to keep an eye on things. For me, Arya is the smartest of the Starks. Really enjoying your reactions! Looking forward to the next!
For me there aren't so many good actors in House of Dragon and also they are more cautious in what they show. Still a good show in it's own right though.
@@robertwilson3866 yeah the House of Dragon felt more like amateur acting for me, GOT was just the real deal. Excluding the final season when they ran out of source material 😕 I might also have some nostalgia and maybe the difference wasn't actually that big

If you may recall, in the first season at the tournament, Ser Loras was making eye contact with Renley as he presented the rose to Sansa. And in that same moment, Baelish asked Renley when he was going to "have his friend." Loras and Renley's association was already known within the court. As for Marjery's knowledge, she's not an innocent in any way; she grew up with Loras and is very close to him and understands his sexuality without judgement. She is a smart young woman and you'll understand why when Lady Olenna (grandma) shows up...the Tyrells are a matriarchy.
Love your reactions, girl ... so genuine and natural. And yes, I agree about Tyrion - probably my favourite 'crush' of the entire show, he's so damn sexy! 😍
Yes, but it's also just one throne. So I always reacted to the title. Is there something I, who is not a native English speaker, does not understand? I would have understood (the) Game of (the) Throne, but at the same I time hear that there might be something grammatically English in the way the title is worded.
I've noticed your dog staring at you when you suddenly burst out your feelings on the seen. It would be awesome if their is a zoom in on the face of your dog to show his/her reaction on you.
This episode provides an excellent opportunity to highlight some of the differences between adaptation & source material, specifically relating to Catelyn Stark. In the book when Catelyn meets Brienne for the first time, Cat is absolutely HORRIFIED that a noble lady is wearing armour & fighting. She even goes so far as to think to herself "is there any creature as unloved by the gods as an ugly woman ?" That is who Catelyn is in the books. This may help to explain why you might see some... let's say "divisive" opinions about Cat in your comments. Many judge her on her book character, while others on her show character.
@@SamYomama Because Sansa is pretty & goes through hell, as do many other attractive women in the story, often as a direct result of their attractiveness. Brienne has a pretty easy time of it in comparison to say Jeyne Poole, or Daenerys. It's an obviously ridiculous statement born out of her ingrained conformity.

Brienne did not get a place in Renly’s Kingsguard b/c of ‘progressivism’. She earned her place by beating all other knights in a melee tournament (aka meritocracy-the antithesis of progressivism). Sansa doesn't want to go home she wants to be married to her "beautiful Joffrey" and be queen. That's the "only thing she ever wanted"(quote-unquote). Going home would be so humiliating for her. She probably fears her sister would never stop teasing her about it and that she wouldn't be able to stand. Only she wishes he wasn't such a monster and hadn't had her father killed. And she has hard time coming to terms with the fact that princes and knights aren't as she read in knightly romance stories, her mind is starting to see it and her heart refuses to believe it. But to go back to Winterfell I'm pretty sure she wants not.
What? She 100% wants to be back in Winterfell right now. She's terrified of the Lannisters at this point. The thought of marrying Joffrey makes her sick, but she knows that pretending she wants to is the best way to stay alive, as Tyrion alluded to when he said she might outlive them all. I have no idea how you could watch her and think she wants to be in this situation and wants to marry Joffrey.
@@tehcoolemu Oh, she wanted to marry him (not knowing him) just because he was "so beautiful" and heir to the throne. His looks haven't changed, and he's king now (even better). That scene with Arya and Yoren is one of my favorites from the whole series. The other one is later when Catelyn is making the seven-pointed star.
In the book, the Ironborn literally drown themselves in that ritual. Like, seawater in their lungs. Book Greyjoys are metal.
