God the moment of the lights turning off and the steps gave me chills. Subnautica is such a lonely game... You don't expect other players, kind of like Minecraft when you play alone. That's why Herobrine was such nightmarefule back then.

@@non_existent. in this case if such an NPC or “player” is smart enough to build a base or enter a base, I’m 100% sure it can build a hatch anyway and casually enter your base rent free

You start a new world in your favorite game, Subnutica, you can’t wait for that feeling of a fresh start. Going from killing sea dragons to desperately chasing a bladder fish to get water . You are sitting there staring at the stupidly long loading screen of the aurora crashing and then finally it finishes loading. You go through the regular cutscene of you in the pod “oh no I’m crashing aaaaaa” you jokingly say as the pod shakes on entry to the atmosphere. “Hey sir get back in your set or I wiaisididjduenejf” you say as the cover of the thing flies off and hits you knocking you out. “Hua is that burning ring of fire” you say as your character wakes up and puts it out. You then finally get to exit the pod you walk over to the ladder expecting the usual bird creature cutscene as you exit but this time there are no birds. “Strange must be just a glitch” you say as you get on top of the pod and dive into the water. You look around to see the fishes but there is nothing there “okay this is getting creepy” you say as you start your journey. In the caves there is no crash fish. When you finally get the suit to get to the aurora and you swim over. You expect to hear the signature roar of the reaper leviathan. *but there is nothing there* “why am I still playing” you wander through the aurora to find crawlers. BUT THERE IS NOTHING THERE you swim all the way to the void to try to find the ghost leviathans *BUT THERE IS NOTHING THERE* suddenly you hear the voice of the P D A for the first time and it says “ gone gone gone gone gone”

Whenever I'm walking around my Cyclops with a prawn docked I keep hearing the sound of something hitting the submarine. I go out to see what is ramming me but there is never anything there.
Well that's spooky :) Make sure you don't have any unwanted mods installed!
@@TheLastBacon I haven't even looked into getting mods. I assume that it's just the prawn vibrating and colliding with the Cyclops. This is also by the safe shallows so the small space may be causing issues.

Usually I consider gaming creepypastas to be jokes, but the way you combined actual game footage and sound effects to coincide with an original and relatively grounded story (at least grounded enough where there’s no hyperrealistic fish or plushies jumping out of your monitor lol) is genuinely impressive, props to this video.

The bases built by whoever was stalking the player kinda reminded me of, again, dragon industries. It has some pre-built bases built by previous survivors, minus the horror, of course! I played subnautica with this mod before knowing this, and nearly had a heart attack when I saw a base not built by me.

Having an stalker and somone trying to kill you and mess with you while ur scuba diving is freaky concept really was spooky at the base part man if u wrote this fantastic with the gameplay for visual too well done i thourhhly enjoyed this cuz it gave a good spooky vibe usually i dont like creepy pastas but this felt good especially with gameplay with the story

Honestly, The SCARIEST Thing about this is knowing that this can actually happen - the window pic While seeming like a comepletely normal mod, it can add malware that hacks into your webcam, and alters the game (Happy new year to bacon!)
