Air Canada's A220/737MAX vs Air Canada's A320... discuss!
I'm willing to bet the business class seats are much more comfortable on the a220 and 737 Max.
The ones on the A319/320/321 are just not up to par.
The Embraers on the other hand...VERY comfortable

Those cloths seats actually look pretty comfortable!
The business class seats are not very comfortable. The padding is thin and they don't recline much.
I haven't tried the newest seats (eg A220 and 737 Max) but I can tell you that, of the seats I've tried thus far on AC, the Embraer planes have the most comfortable business class seats.
Even the economy seat on a recent E175 flight (seat 12A) was more comfortable than these A320 business seats. The 319 and 321 planes are the same as the 320.

I flew Air Canada for my first time last December. I flew from BOS to TLV via YYZ and then back to BOS via YYZ in business class. The flight attendants were amazing and went out of their way to provide great service. I also had some IFE problems since I flew on an old e175 and they did not work on the way to YYZ. The new IFE's that was on the Dreamliner I took to TLV was amazing. I was also surprised to get a meal on such a short flight from BOS to YYZ.

Cool to see my home airport on here. The YYC Link thing is pretty useless after the novelty of it wore off. Hope you had a good time in Calgary
Flying domestically in Canada is so much better than flying first class on usa, you get lounge access - proper food and not in plastic trays. And drinks too in glassware

Seems they had the service in business class reversed! Usually you’d seem to get your drink and package of almonds at the beginning of the meal service and not at the end. That’s nice they pour your drink out of the glass into a plastic cup instead of making you finish it in a hurry! Yes, the IFE system is unsurprisingly slow but at least still does work and I hope the sound system worked. If I’m gonna use a 2006 IFE system, I better be in no hurry and expect it to be a bit slow or just like you I’ll feel impatient!

1:27 LOL obnoxious! In Toronto we have the golf cart with the orange police light. Way more practical in my opinion.

Its been said that patience is a virtue--4hrs being put on hold and now a 4hr layover in Vancouver! How do you put up with it? Seems odd for you to be wearing a T-shirt in the dead of winter--it's curious that Vancouver,being on the coast,has snow--that weather you had in Calgary,as I sit here in Texas,makes me shiver! Interesting shuttle service and 'crossing gate' at Calgary,I like how that sign turns red upon that golf cart coming through.
Wait a minute??? Snow in vancouver???
That plane just wants to die. Is there room to replace it with an APM like what they have at Paris (the only one I can think of that is probably narrow enough)

They recently revamped their reservation systems and are dealing with teething issues hence the long wait times, they are backed up
As a regular with Air Canada, I fly the 787 more but there IFE is also quite slow.
These planes were all updated with the new look in early 2000s and the 320s should be all retired or transferred to Rouge I think. Max issues have them flying still. Friday's cold was a tough day for them. Nice planes but have had their day.
Food first on short flight is to give pax plenty of time to eat
iTrip Report I was wondering, with the outbreak of the coronavirus, does this give you any pause to travel or are you carrying on as normal? Are you taking any safety precautions that you didn’t before?
Looks pretty old-fashioned (albeit very comfy)...
Good flight, but on such a short trip was it worth the extra cost of Business Class?

Funny thing is I ordered a sparkling wine and the FA misunderstood me for water, and since it was only a short flight I didn’t bother.
