Celebrate, Then Cry: Vikings QB Kirk Cousins Sustains Season-Ending Injury During Victory vs Packers

After a dismal start, the Minnesota Vikings began to turn the ship around and head upstream towards a potential wild card playoff spot.
This effort was led by the favorite quarterback of “Quarterback”, Kirk Cousins.
Cousins was having his best day ever. With a .500 record in sight tragedy struck - Cousins tore his Achilles tendon.
So the celebration of the win turned to concern then to sadness as the diagnosis was confirmed.
So let’s celebrate, then pray for a speedy recovery for the QB and great guy who just underwent surgery for the torn tendon.
The Vikings will march on in Cousins’ absence. The team traded for a veteran quarterback, Josh Dobbs as they hope to still make a run for a playoff spot.
So, while we are hopeful for the return of Cousins next season, let’s look back to home opener when hope filled the streets around US Bank Stadium.
