It's a nice view on the top, and on the whole trip, all the animals can feel you are a good person and come close, thank you very much for the trip and fine a hotel too 😁
👍👍👍👍👍
WoW!!! Love! Love!! Love!!! (Besides the Peeps;))
These views are spectacular!! Just Breathtaking!! Thanks!
Great hotel reminds me of 70's👍❤️
The shot of the cloud rolling over the ridge!!! 👍
We are heading to Breck this weekend. Did several trails when we were there last year, but really hoping to check this one off our list! Hope my kids are up for the challenge!
I didn’t see any goats when I hiked Quandary either. Saw quite a few heading toward Evans when I did that. You ever considered Quandary’s West ridge. Looks insane and wouldn’t do that one on my own for sure. Probably wouldn’t see anyone on that route till you created the ridge and hit the summit haha.
Yeah, west ridge looks like a pretty nice class 3 challenge. Looks gnarly over there. If you really wanna go crazy throw Fletcher mountain in as well and get both. I also want to do North Star Mountain just to the south. Decent 13er. No one will be on it.
Quandary peak via the west ridge is an awesome hike, class 2 until the last 300 vertical feet, and then they are very tough class 3!
I went in that peak about a few days after the goats were shot
Don’t fool yourself thinking Quandary is an ‘easy’ 14’er. I posted an ascent time of 3h55m. The final 1K is all solid gain and I was blowing hard. Much tougher than Bierstadt, which I completed a week earlier. Very rocky trail. Slipped on loose rock/gravel and landed on my ass twice on descent. Also twisted my ankle couple of times too. Nothing serious, but boots and hiking poles are both recommended. I had the latter, but not the former. Imposing but beautiful looking mountain when viewed from Hoosier Pass.
Fantastic video. Quick question - is the drive to the parking lot doable in a standard sedan with front wheel drive?
Thanks! Yes. I believe the parking is right off the main road.
Nick I just wanted to let you know and anyone reading the comments that the best thing to carry for blisters is mole skin. Always have a little in your pack for your use or perhaps for someone you see suffering on the trail. They’ll kiss you, I guarantee!
Thanks! I will look into getting some. The duct tape works but it a little bulky at times.
Now did the “asshole” shoot a mountain goat legally or illegally? Because if he did it legally there’s nothing wrong with that.
Everything you said was wrong. The summit is not the end. It is the half way point. Stay safe.
