When you said it was hot I was thinking I wish I was there because i know its not that hot there! Its over 100 here an I would love to be there in some cool weather!

Hiked up Copeland in Oct 2008 and summited at 12:30 in similar conditions to your hike Nick. Above tree line I went farther right avoiding the talus up the tundra as I recall. Recall many of the stone land marks in your video. Great memories of a Great hike in the Rockies!

Awesome video! Trying to decide between this hike or Hallett Peak for next month. I have learned from experience with my body and my autoimmune condition, I can endure the pain and I can force the stamina, but the breathing is what gets me every time. In that thinner air, I struggle. I may have to just bring two full Boost Oxygen bottles on this hike, and go for it. I think if I pace myself, I can do it!

I don't know much Nick, but maybe you need to protect that knee somehow. Maybe someone else knows more than me. My older brother wore both of his knees out, needed surgery on both of them; best I can say is protect your knee function and try to avoid surgery.

That’s really cool seeing something totally new. I wonder how often a new trail is made 🤔 I’m kind of a shut in but want to get more outdoorsy. I want to go camping and do more hiking this year. Colorado really seems infinite.

I have to agree. Mills Lake is in my top 3 for sure. I'm on the countdown until I make it back out there. Only 47 days! Cabin reserved, timed entry tickets purchased, and gear list has started. Trying to decide what to hike. The top two on my list that I've never done are Hallett via Flattop, and Chasm Lake. Between the two, hopefully I can get my body to cooperate to do at least one of them on this trip! Keep the awesome videos coming brother!

I have done this hike several times (not since the fire). Fun hike, great views, and the wildflowers at the beginning make this a nice place to hang. Also love that the steep down off the top isn’t exposed.

Crashed my DJI Mavic Pro several years ago while shooting real estate pics, and it was horrifying to watch! I had major damage and performed brain surgery on it to make repairs to tiny components. It sucked!

One of my faves. I usually ride my bike up the Limber trail to the junction, stash the bike, and hike up to the overlook. Stellar drone shots as always.

How do you know what land would have ticks? Elevation based?

Amazing video! We hiked twin Sisters on 6/23 and all the snow was melted.
