The 1972 hit maker still has her voice uniquely and unchangeably the same after several years touring the globe with music gift.
Twas an amazing moment hosting her at the Ekownaad Studio with the Big Boys.

Powerful Legendary indeed Naa Amonoah n her team 🔥
But at 42:15 brought tears 😢 to my eyes as the words asking Kings 🤴 of the land 'what did you discuss with the whiteman, have sold us into slavery??'......truly if those words were asking such questions in 1970s there then what can we ask our leaders now 🤔 ...
Not too late we can change our local communities with new mindset as most of us have travelled to learn progress 👌🏾 (give me a thumbs up if we agree 👍🏾)

I will like to honour WULOMEI including Acquah who broke off eith Naa Amanua to form Suku. I lived next door to Acquah at Lartebiokorshie, not too far ftom Saka Acquaye and Nortey. I will honour Otu Lincon,, Frankie Lane and others for given the world KPANLOGO, dance in schoola and colleges,in tbe UK, Europe, America, Canada,, Jaoan, Austratia and other parts of the world.
Today,we have AZONTO from Ga. We have COCOA from Ga nyobi TETTEH KWARSHIE. Our Scholars and eminent men and women including DEDEI ASHKINSHAN & AADUA ANKRAH welcomed and backed Dr Kwame Nkrumah whosee Parliamentary seat was not in Nkroful in Nzima land but ASEIDU KƐTƐKƐ, GA MASHIE.
Somebody any Asante Music Group that ever toured the world like WULOMƐI ever did to this day.
I am so inspired by Naa Amanua and the other two women doing a live session sounding so original and authentic like 50 years or more ago. Yes, the energy level is not the same but come on they are grown wise women, probably grand.mothers.
GA Female musicians learn from these great musicians.

You do not know that the African Brothers went to London in 1969 way before the Wulomei first trip in the mid 70's. Prior to these groups, African Brothers and Wulomei Cultural Group, it was alleged that King Bruce and E.T Mensah had been abroad, however, I couldn't confirm nor state if true, which band first toured abroad.

Waaaaaawwww... I love the Wulomei and their music. I understand the Ga language considerably but sadly, I do not hear most of the words in their music well. I think Ghanaians and the world would be blessed if someone close to Naa Amanoa can get her to reveal the actual lyrics of their music so they are compiled in a book. We would love to be able to understand the true meaning of the songs.

Can’t stop listening to this band over and over, great recollections. First watch them in live concert 1995 at independent square. The Sound was huge, the then Nii Tei Ashite, founder of the group was present, he’s often forgotten that he was huge pillar to the band. Long live WULOMEI…xxxx

One of the best nights I have had for a while. I was filled with nostagia anf tremendous sadness because I missed those gone from the pioneering group WULOMEI. I salute Naa Amanua and the other talented and highly gifted women, is it Naa Adei and Naa Kwarma? Please, remind the other two singers. Kudos to the women snd the band.. This is ,lifting my spirit as a Ga nyo. I am coming to Ga from London fir HOMOWO. While I am in Ga I wish to honour the original creatiors of Hi-Life in England, they are ET Mensah, Saka Acquaye, King Bruce, Jerrry Hanson, all Gamei and one Fanti mnan called Houghes or Houghton

For those of you who aren't aware. The current version of Afrobeat that we hear today (worldwide) and through Azonto is based on Kpanlogo and other forms of Ga Adangme (Ethnic group from the Southern Coast of Ghana) music. Just listen to your favorite Afrobeat song and you'll hear most of the bass line, drums, and the infamous Gankogui being used in this live performance. 8 out of 10 Afrobeats songs use this handheld bell instrument with most of it going simply "ka.ka.ka.kaka" (Clave 3-2) but it enhances the rhythm to a very high level.

So true. Unfortunately, we did not do a proper job in trademarking this brand and using it to the best of our advantage, especially for Ghanaian artists. Outsiders made it their own. We need to really treasure our cultural sounds and not let this happen again.
