If you have two fobs. Like a new one and one that already works... You need to recalibrate BOTH of them. Do the procedure once. Then press and hold both keys. One at a time until they are accepted.
For my 2006 sportster it was close but far. LEFT SIGNAL X2, then dual confirmation flashes RIGHT X1, dual flash, LEFT X1 two more dual flashes. Then hold button for 10-25seconds.

Make sure that your key FOB battery has at least 3 volts and is installed correctly. Verify that the antenna for your security is correctly located and is not out of its correct, factory position. If you have replaced your factory seat with an aftermarket seat that has a metal base, it may interfere with the security antenna. Otherwise, the m/c may not be recognising the FOB for some reason. I only got one key fob when i bought my bike, if i get another one say on ebay or such. will the new fob work along with the old one ,or do i have to do this procedure with both? and will this work on my 2003 Heritage classic.
Both my Fobs are no longer syncing, so what can i do to re sync it as this method will not work as alarm will not stop. If i do a manual override and turn security system off , it rearms as soon as i turn ignition to off so this method will not work for me. Hi Harold. If you are not able to disarm your system with your FOB, you should still be able to disarm with your personal pin code. Here are tips from the electrical manual for your year and model - Make sure that your cell phone in at least 3" away from the FOB. Can be experiencing RF interference. Try disarming the bike in a different location (outside). Verify that the antenna wire is in its OE location and that the seat has not been replaced to one with a metal base. Check for damage to the antenna wire. Be absolutely certain that your FOB battery is installed correctly. Maybe a dumb question but I don't have the FOB on me at this moment to look. Is the button on the inside of the FOB? Also, this is how to program a NEW FOB? Alarm/security settings can only be altered with the factory's Digital Technician or at an independent shop that has correct software.

Maybe a dumb question but I don't have the FOB on me at this moment to look.
Is the button on the inside of the FOB?
Also, this is how to program a NEW FOB? I lost one of 2 so I bought a new one to replace the missing one. I have a 2012 Street Glide and there is no button on the outside of the FOB. Thanks in advance.
You will not be able to program a new FOB yourself, on your 2012 FLHX.
Unfortunately, you will need to have the dealership assign the FOB. Or, you can go to an independent shop that has the correct computer software.

Do you need the factory fob to unlpck the ecu to reprogram a new fob?
@@taylor2105 if you do not have the original fob the new one needs to be married to ecm by dealer.

@@taylor2105 Not sure but most stolen motorcycles are probably picked up and thrown into a truck.
