Cold start zeros /origins , we call sometimes machine coordinates / zeros
Other zeros we call sometimse "part" or program zeros - origins

Is the command menu standard when going to hit spacebar or is it a parameter setting to get it to show up on your fadal? Have an 88ms and when I press spacebar on mine it just cycles to the enter next command page. Dont even have a run screen or program screen until you enter the quick commands.

after you send a program to the machine, how do save it to memory? What happens to the program that is open if you send another program to the controller.
    Thanks

Do you have this information in español

Any idea what the boxed areas are in the display when you are jogging or MDI? Yours shows X,Y,Z in 3 rows and then has some boxes drawn below with additional X,Y,Z plus H and other parameters. Is this the current work offset shown below the machine offset? I have a ‘95 4020 88HS with -4 controller and I only see the top 3 rows but no boxes or which work offset I’m currently in. Can’t figure out what this is.

The boxes below my XYZ have more information from the program - tells you how much travel in XYZC you have to go, which tool you have loaded, offsets, M codes that are active, if optional stop is active, etc. I can’t recall exactly but if you don’t see them it might be related to if your machine is in format 1 or 2. Are you part of the Fadal FB group? A lot of great resources there too.

@@bgwmachine it’s in Format 2, but I’ll post it in that group. Seems like it’s just a setting I don’t know about.
