You should start a "subscriber's challenge", content! I'll be the first... I challenge you to do a MOBILE bumper repair, NOT in the shop đđđ
Thatâs a great đ idea. Iâve been thinking đ€ about doing something like that but I might have to wait until the summer time because itâs winter right now where I live. And cold weather and paint donât mix.
I definitely want to do something like that on my channel. Thanks đ for the idea. If I end up doing the challenge I will give you a shout out in my video for giving me the idea. THANK YOU đ.
Nice . A question why did you base coat the whole bumper in metallic to start ? Why not just paint half the bumper with metallic, then paintt the top half black ? Cheers from NZ
I do it that way because itâs easier to coat the whole bumper and then mask the buttom part one time. Then all I have to do is coat the second color on the top and then remove the paper after and then clear coat it. It doesnât make sense to mask the bumper twice to do one half first and then the other half. This way saves time and energy.
@@J.Lulo_ Good answer, do you really have to mask up the top half to put the bottom base coat on, why not just paint just above the bottom half line, ( with metallic ) then tape the bottom and then paint over the bottom over spray. Your thought's ? Just saves time and paint not painting the whole top half of the bumper. Cheers
Weâll hereâs the thing that you have to understand. When you paint a two toned colored bumper and one color is black. You always want to paint the metallic color first because you donât want the metallics to fall on the black because the metallics can fall on the black and mess up the black color. So after I paint the metallic color I take apart my gun and clean it out to make sure there are more metallics in the gun and then I paint my black color. Plus the rest of the paint job on the car was black and I didnât want the metallics falling on the rest of my paint job.
